Ok, just got home from the show. I cut a weekend in Seattle short & got home at 2pm, so this was a long day!
I got there at 7, right as the doors were opening. I was just to the left of Stevie about 5 people back from the stage. I was wondering about all the Ledgies because 2 handsome young guys were right next to me & during FWIW, they did the knocking motion. Anyhow, I loved the show. It was kind of surreal to see Stevie so close. Loved that she came out in red, instead of black. She seemed to be in pretty good voice & very chatty and cheerful. The Fillmore was packed. I am sure it sold out at the door. She was really enthusiastic in her delivery of the new songs and graciously thanked the audience for listening to the new songs "with grace" which I thought was really sweet. She sounded so comfortable & playful with FWIW, it was my favorite song of the evening along with Moonlight. I was impressed with Michael Grim, especially with his rousing version of Stay with Me with Stevie's band. It was quite a performance! The only drama around me was when 2 security guys drug a guy out of the front for filming the show. Most of the people around me were ok. So this was a very special night for me. Hope everyone enjoyed the show! |
