I feel the same. I have no "real" friends anymore. I'm more appreciative of my online friends because of it but... you know, is one or two in this country too much to ask?

I know how you and Kimberly feel. When I moved back to Texas last year, I left all my friends back in the Carolinas. I really had a close group, too... they were like family.

You were lucky though you had family history and connections with Texas in your move. I moved to Florida knowing nobody but the family I came down here with except my elderly aunt who used to live on Tampa Bay for 25 years but had already moved back up to Ohio a few years back to be closer to family more in her older age. We had been on our way to Clearwater one day last summer and called her from Mcdonalds parking lot and told her we were on Dale Mabry Blvd in Tampa not too far up from her old place and she was about to cry saying if she could, she'd move back in a second to Tampa. She took sick a few months back and passed away in the hospital in her 70's and we miss her. My sister said our aunts home in Tampa had huge spanish moss trees in the yard and palm trees you had to spread apart to get to the front door. She had visited her down here years ago. So when I think of Florida homes, I think of hers.

I used to feel like you guys. And I can't tell you what really changed, with me, that turned it all around for me....
I'm an only child, and I've always enjoyed being alone(I still go on vacations alone, all the time). I was also very close to my Mom, so that always occupied a few evenings a week, of my time. Then she got sick and passed away. Then, it was really just me and my dog, for a couple of years. Then he got sick and died. Then, I was alone, truly, for the first time in my life. It was from this, that I somehow decided that being alone was a choice. And a choice that I didn't want to make, any more. And it took me a couple of years, to make my transformation. But I did make it, and I'm MUCH happier, for having done so.

And I'm embarrassed that it took me a lifetime to get here. But I'm truly the best person I've ever been. And the happiest I've ever been.

That's because you're, like, 12 years old. Get back to me in 20 years and let's see how that is all working out for you.

The big thing that helps is lifting, which is awesome that you're doing that. But add in like, a day or two of cardio a week. That's what I'm doing and its helping a lot. Without the cardio you don't have definition, and in my opinion, whats the point of working out if you don't have definition?
I disagree! Definition is mostly dictated by diet and genetics. You can run a triathlon every day, but if you stuff your body full of junk, and if you don't have the genes for it, you're not going to get definition. Judging from my parents, my lineage is "skinny fat." I can get somewhat-ripped if I go to extremes, but it's not really sustainable for very long; I will end up losing a lot of muscle mass, so it's not worth it.

Any ladies here nailpolish freaks? I became one over the course of the year and something quite exciting has happened....I'VE FOUND MY MANNEQUIN HANDS SHADE. Or well, something close to it-- the perfect one would be about a shade and a half lighter-- but I'm still pumped. The lack of transition between skin and nails thing is probably the only way I'll do a single color any time soon. It's just so weird and offputting that it makes up for how monochromatic it is. This is my "signature" color...

An OPI purple with OPI for Sephora sparkle layered over it. What are your favorite colors/brands/nail art patterns?

Oh, and want to see the sweetest nails you'll ever see in your life?

One of my closest friends in Boston. She did that sh*t by hand. Did it take two hours? Yes. Was it worth it? Obviously.

I'm trying to come up with something to do the week that In Your Dreams comes out. I'm considering printing "L-I-K-E-C-O-K-E-?-!" on my nails and then when someone questions it being like "Don't. That ****'s bad for you. Ask Stevie Nicks. She's got a new album out btw...."

I think a "gold dust" theme is in order. A little obvious, I know... but it could be cute. Use gold glitter polish and paint (or glue?) little silver spoons on each nail.
