Woohoo! Thanks for the review. I can't wait till May 7th! What a great show its going to be. And I have to say i am quite thrilled to hear "come" in the setlist. I think this song would rock live. I am with the others in saying, i am so over stand back. There are soooooo many more songs that could have gone there. Oh well.

Default Thank you VERY much!

Your review was very encouraging. Thank you for taking the time to post this. You are clearly a serious fan. It's good to hear they have managed to get the sound issues cleared up and the MAC IS BACK!

Default More spoilers

*RTTG sounded a lot like the album version. Stevie sang it with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.

*Stevie left the stage for "Come," but not before whispering something to Lindsey which made both of them laugh.

*"Beautiful Child" had Lindsey on acoustic guitar with a single spotlight on Stevie. The music was quite subdued, which allowed Stevie's vocals to really shine. I think Mick and John were onstage, so it wasn't just Lindsey's guitar backing her up. I predict this song will replace "Landslide" as one of the emotional highlights. Lindsey looked very intense during this song compared to "Landslide," where he seemed to joke around a little.

*"Silver Springs" really didn't have any emotional punch for me. Stevie sang the song to the audience and there wasn't any S/L interaction. I think "Say Goodbye" will likely have more sparks and drama. It certainly did last night.

*During "Destiny Rules," S and L seemed to be sharing an inside joke. I noticed some funny smiles with the lines "When I see you again, as I always do..." and "It's not being together, it's just following the rules..." Very cute stuff.

*Stevie changed boots before the first encore. She wore ankle platform boots (!).

*Stevie sang Christine's parts on "Don't Stop" and "World Turning."

*There were screens behind the band. During the show, various images were projected on to them. For example, during "Landslide," they had images of Stevie from years ago and during "Tusk" they had video of the USC Marching Band.

*The audience size was about 500 people.

As you can see, I'm still turning over last night's concert in my mind! :-)

thank for for all the info SlvrSprgs! Sounds like it will be a great tour- I am just hoping they do modify the setlist a little bit on the acual tour- as I said on the other tread, I am DYING to hear Sisters of the Moon, Blue Letter, Tango In the Night, and Seven Wonders- you think they could atleast do 1 of those! But I am SO excited about Beautiful Child- that is one of my mom and I's favorite Stevie songs- beats "Storms" for me anyday.

This is all so exciting!!!

June 3rd BABY!!!!!!

Cool LMAO!!!!

Stevie left the stage for "Come," but not before whispering something to Lindsey which made both of them laugh.

OMG...I am thinking of things she MAY have said, such as:
"You KNOW I'm not staying on the stage for this, right?" or
"You can COME all you want, I'm outta here." or
"I'll be offstage, break a string."

OMG, I cannot WAIT to hear this song, it's my fave song on Tusk!! I'll be CRYING like a frickin baby!!!! LOL (Note to self: Take lots of tissues to the concert)

*"Silver Springs" really didn't have any emotional punch for me. Stevie sang the song to the audience and there wasn't any S/L interaction. I think "Say Goodbye" will likely have more sparks and drama. It certainly did last night.

Bummer, I love SS, and hope she gets more emotionally charged on it before they do it in concert!!

*During "Destiny Rules," S and L seemed to be sharing an inside joke. I noticed some funny smiles with the lines "When I see you again, as I always do..." and "It's not being together, it's just following the rules..." Very cute stuff.

I love this frickin song and can't wait to hear it live...especially that AWESOME country-ish guitar at the end!! GO LINDSEY!!!!!

*There were screens behind the band. During the show, various images were projected on to them. For example, during "Landslide," they had images of Stevie from years ago and during "Tusk" they had video of the USC Marching Band.

Wonder if that's what they are doing all the time? I mean, I like seeing video and stuff, but it sometimes takes focus off the performers and I don't wanna do that!! LOL

As you can see, I'm still turning over last night's concert in my mind!

Hey, I'd be on such a HIGH, I wouldn't be able to post this early!! LOL THANK YOU for sharing all this info with us!!!!!

Thumbs up

Silver,
Glad you had a great time. What about Gypsy...was it the acoustic version or the regular? I know I am in the minority for this one, but I hope it is the regular version, although I love the acoustic version too. Also, one more quick question, then I promise I'll leave you alone...LOL. On "Beautiful Child," did they have those amazing harmonies on the parts "I bite my lip, can you send me away" and "Your hands held mine, so few hours." I just love those harmony parts. Once again, I'm so excited for you!

Sorry if I totally missed this (I tried to read everyone's reviews), but where exactly was the dress rehearsal?

What an amazing opportunity!! I'm so jealous!

I suppose there aren't any pics of this shindig? I know I've read that there were video cameras there. If anybody has any to share it'd be greatly appreciated!

I am happy to hear about the new arrangement for Beautiful Child. I've always thought that was a nice song, but could never listen to it, probably because of the reliance on the piano. (I like piano in small doses when it comes to pop rock.) Just imagining a guitar arrangement by Lindsey on that one makes me salivate. Almost makes me wish I'd bought tickets. Eh, I'll wait for the HBO special.

Also, I would really not expect Lindsey to do Red Rover. That song was sped up on tape. For him to play it live, it will likely sound different, which may be OK. I would guess he won't do it.

Thanks so much for the review, 'silversprings'.

I really hope that they put on as much positive energy and emotion for all you guys' concerts!

So good to hear EOTW worked well and got Stevie into 'action mode' . What a brilliant opener - that guitar outro is one of my all time favourites - it's so rare to get a great searing outro in a major key from LB.

Say Goodbye sounds like a real highlight.

I don't know about Beautiful Child really, cause the lyrics bore me to tears - since I really don't get what it's about (interpretation, anyone?)... But for a chance at some BN harmony magic, I'm all for it!

What can I say but FLEETWOOD MAC - COME TO AUSTRALIA!
