5. New Orleans song
6. Twilight song (this does make me shudder - I hope it's not too obviously about Twilight)
7. Mike Campbell Song #1
8. Mike Campbell Song #2
9. 1970s demo

And from the sounds of it, there will be at least 2-3 other older songs as well. Exciting!
Everybody Loves You might be on here as well. Or on Dave's album. I get the feeling that Stevie's album, Dave's album and the Rumours country tribute album will all drop at the same time and we will be swimming in a sea of new music from Stevie. I loved the Annabel Lee demo, but am not usually happy with new versions of demos. This album does sound exciting to me though.

I gathered from this interview that she will be performing two cover songs she's never performed before. Hopefully they will be songs we can all agree on that we actually like.

I'm intrigued by this mystery song "from the vault" on which she sounds like she's five years old. My guess is that it could be "China Doll"...at least that's my hope :-)

lmfao.

I'm thinking she'll add in Whole Lotta Trouble since she mentioned it a while back. I don't see her tackling any of the great ones. I don't think she could pull off Angel or sotm these days.
I'll die if she does Bella Donna though.

And as for the demos go-
If it's something we actually know, then I'm putting my bet on China Doll or Christian. They're both piano demos and sound 75-76ish. Going by the "I sound 5" comment though, I'm guessing China Doll.

and then a song I wrote about the “Twilight” movies
Why don't you just put a bullet through our brains? F*ck this.

Btw, her saying: 'I think I wrote it in 1976' in Stevie-speak actually means that the demo she is referring to was probably written somewhere between 1973 and 1985.

My thoughts exactly. Stevie doesn't really have the firmest grasp on timelines passed.

Well, I'm excited she's excited. Considering she hasn't seemed really enthused about anything in YEARS, I take it as a good sign.

Can't believe she wrote a song about Twilight.

I'd plotz if "China Doll" showed up on this album. I adore that song. It better not be "Amber."

Oh yeah, forgot about that one! That sounds like a Stevie song to me - I would guess it will be on the album. So:

1. Italian Summer
2. Wide Sargasso Sea
3. Annabel Lee
4. The Ghosts Are Gone
5. Everybody Loves You
6. New Orleans song
7. Twilight song (this does make me shudder - I hope it's not too obviously about Twilight)
8. Mike Campbell Song #1
9. Mike Campbell Song #2
10. 1970s demo

I think that's what we're gonna get. She hasn't done it since '98 so that fits her description of not having done it in a long time.

All in all I enjoyed the interview but, things I could do with out or some that raised questions are:

Annabel Lee - never cared for the demo but maybe this new version will be better

3 “new songs for the set - 2 not her’s, again Stevie? And one that she hasn’t done in a while? I seriously doubt it will be Bella Donna, didn’t Waddy even say it was too hard to play? It won’t be Sisters of the Moon, however, I think she could pull off a piano version of this, similar to what I remember her doing in that 1979 20/20 interview … now that would be very cool. Most likely though, a song that hasn’t been done in a long time for Stevie could even be “Talk To Me” or “Rooms On Fire.” HA

Peter Green? WTF? Why one earth would the interviewer ask Stevie if Peter Green would make an appearance on the new album? Did I miss something here? I’m surprised nobody else mentioned it.

Lastly, as someone pointed out - Stevie really talked up the Vegas show in 2005 but in all honesty, they were not a far cry from anything she did before. Granted, as that tour went on I think it got a lot better but, Stevie gets excited but when it comes time to hit the stage, she reverts back to what is comfy.

I’m going to see her in AC since I have not seen her or the Mac since 2007 but, I’m not going to get too excited for anything that “new.” But I am looking forward to a new CD for sure.

Stevie doesn't do the internet. So the 1970 song she is refferring too could be Three Birds of Rhiannon or Is Anybody There? I really like those two songs.

I'm not a Twilight fan myself, in fact I hate it but we haven't even heard it yet and it could be really good. So I'm not going to go ''eewww Twilight'' until I hear it. As others have said, she sounds really thrilled about it which is a good sign so I definitely can't wait for this album!

These new interviews have gotten me more and more excited about the album and hopeful that it will be out as soon as possible! With these various folks being blown away, it's no wonder Stevie is excited.

As far as some of the tracks, I wasn't particularly fond of Annabel Lee, but they might have turned it into something awesome.

And a song about Twilight? Not fond of the series, but I'll reserve my judgement (though my first reaction might have been a little projectile vomit). I honestly can't blame her if it's just a ploy to pull in younger fans because that's some seriously brilliant marketing right there! Cash in on the juggernaut that is Twatlight.

I would pretty much die, in a good way, if China Doll ended up on the album.

Here's my question - when she says 2 covers for the upcoming shows does she mean covers she's done before or 2 new covers? What do you guys think?
