In a nutshell, Jason Garner, C.E.O., Live Nation says that most of the December released dates have sold out. The success of this tour gives them hope for the 2009 concert season. I have followed nearly ALL of the dates and the sales of those dates since they were initially released for sale. I have found that second tier pricing has been more beneficial for sales. Many of the first tier ($150) are still avilable. Aas we have all noticed, Ticketmaster is releasing better seats everyday.

HOWEVER... Tickets are selling.

In my opinion, this illustrates that regardless the price, THE MAC stands tall to entertain AND TO MAKE THAT MONEY!!!
Yeah, most of us read the press release last week and took it for the BS that it was. They had to spin the canceled concert & poor sales on 80% of the dates (not to mention the necessity to reduce/refund the ILAA package price) somehow. While blatently lying about the tour being a wild success was the least plausible route, granted, they really had no other choice.

So where is the information that you have been reading that says it was BS? Not that I am pushing the issue, but where do you get your information? I am certain that the cancellation of dates was a sign, but I have no clear explaination as to why they were cancelled. I could speculate, but that doesn't mean that I am right.

I will accept what the source says until I am given information otherwise-by tour officials.

HAPPY OBAMA DAY!!!

Knowledge is gained through experience.
There is much experience, hence much knowledge surrounding much
of the information posted on this board.
It is nice to be optimistic, but where this subject is concerned, it is naive.

Guess it's like Stevie and Tom said, "make a meal of some bright eyed kid..."

Does anyone know if you have to actually pay with your American Express for the presale? I see how it only asks for the password; which is the number on the back. Please help!! Thank you.

I was told that you needed AN American Express card to pay, but it didn't have to be a Gold Card or whatever. Could be Amex Blue, for example.

But, if you have no access to one at all, I suppose it's worth the gamble.

We are getting gold cards for future use because of the presales we missed out on this year. We have other cards, but it seems like American Express is, "everywhere I want to be" lol

other than the Albany show, which others were cancelled? People here are referring to the shows (plural) being cancelled, but I only knew of one getting the ax.

I decided not to do the presale for Columbus.... I hope I don't regret that later. What do you guys think? I pulled up row T or something on the floor... Although now Ticketmaster isn't letting me look at tickets for that show... Odd.

I've been trying getting a seat for Glendale with the TicketRush presale, but I keep getting the same two seats over and over again and just don't want those. How frustrating. This is only my "obligatory" ticket, but I still want something decent.

Tacoma presale sucked. I had the Live Nation password as well as one for a local radio station. AmEx was already up, and then at 10 AM today, literally about 8 new presales popped up! At first, I was pissed that I didn't have the passwords for all of them, but I soon realized they all allowed access to the same pot of tickets. I pulled up the exact same seat through Live Nation that I did with the radio station. The Tacoma Dome will have a front floor section of Rows 1-12, and then a rear floor section behind that. The entire time, I was only able to pull up seats in the rear floor section, and I am only looking for one seat!

So.....another vote for regular onsale.
(Which has been the case for me when it comes to just about anything for a while now.)

I got my "obligatory" ticket from Ticketsnow, because I was fed up with the presale seats. Got 10th row.

I had to get 3 for Tacoma and made do with the crappy row 25 offered via AMEX, but at least they are in the centre floor section. I was nervous that for 3, I might do worse later on.

I'm unlikely to buy anymore at this stage. I have Tacoma and LA. Other CA concerts during my holiday, I will wait and see what I can get a fews days before.
