Hey Brian J -- That reminds me. I bought a Garth Brooks video, way back when and he formed the O S U with his body saying something about Oklahoma State being his alma mater. Any other famous folks come from OSU??

OSU alums I can recall are billionaire oil tycoon T.Boone Pickens,Thurman Thomas and his backup at running back, some guy named Barry Sanders

Of course, OSU is THE, repeat THE SCHOOL of COLLEGIATE WRESTLING (No other school in the NCAA comes EVEN close):

"Oklahoma State Cowboys wrestling"
"The Cowboy wrestling team is among the most storied programs in college wrestling. The Pokes brought home their 33rd NCAA championship in spring 2005, scoring the most points ever by an Oklahoma State wrestling team in the NCAA. OSU won their 34th overall (and 4th consecutive) title in 2006. OSU's 34 team titles are the most ever collected by a school in one sport. The Cowboys have also produced 127 individual national champions, including the sport's first-ever four-time champion, Pat Smith."

Update: The creator of the first "Personal Computer" was an OSU grad still attending classes at Stillwater when he built the very first one (I didnt catch his name on the news segment, but he is a native of this state) - So people who tend to think Oklahomans are idiots need to get a clue.

What happened in the Vandy Kentucky game? I saw a score that was 14-0 but never heard the final. (We don't get the Sunday paper anymore. ) It's our way of cutting back in these slim times. Next will be the satellite dish

I saw where Nebraska won but didn't get the score on that one either.

Brian j - your Oklahoma State Cowboys beat Colorado (as we knew they would) but there were some flukes, like that touchdown CU got...the Gods were smiling on those kids.

I'm a Tennessee VOL! It is my alma mater.

God, we suck like a BIG ORANGE this year, but at least we finally got rid of our coach, THE GREAT PUMPKIN Phil Fulmer.

I just hope we finally get someone good in the coach's position.

GOOD OLE ROCKY TOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When does basketball season start?

in my opinion, but a win is a win.

Hopefully, with a little help from above and/or beyond, OSU beats OU this year, Debbie would have been ever so proud if that was to happen...

I've been sick with the flu for about a week, so I missed most of the games this weekend. The drugs are good, but leave me in a zombie condition... (Now I understand why some people die from the flu. This is some nasty stuff and I even got the flu shot.)

OK, back to business... didn't OU give Tech its loss? So now the Big 12 South has 3 (or 4) teams vying for the top spot?

This is the best explanation I've read - and fairly easy to follow, especially if you're a fan of UT:

Let me try to see if I can make any sense of this from all the articles I've read.

So can Texas go to the NC game without playing in the Big XII Championship game? Yes! Here is why... If OU happens to lose to OSU, then that means TxTech would be in the Big XII Championship game and not Texas. Tech holds the face to face meeting over Texas, meaning they fly out to Kansas City to play Mizzou. Tech is too far behind with this loss to OU, that it wouldn't matter who wins that game because Texas would still be ahead of them and go to the NC game. If OU wins and goes to Kansas City to play Mizzou, then OU would have to lose and Texas sitting at #3 would jump into the #2 spot with an OU loss, or even #1 with an OU and a Alabama loss in their championship games. Florida would probably be #1 with a win over Alabama though. Regardless we take a spot in the NC game.

Can OU and Texas play for the NC game? Yes. A LOT of things have to happen for this to happen. First OU would have to win out and so would Texas. Next week Auburn would have to beat Alabama and Florida State would have to beat Florida. Then in the SEC championship game Florida would have to beat Alabama. This would mean that Alabama and Florida would have 2 losses in the season and wouldn't have an argument about not being in the NC game. The final BCS standings would probably be #1 OU - #2 Texas - #3 USC. Since the BCS NC game is solely based on the ranking of where the teams are in the final week, that would mean Texas and OU would have to play one another. This would probably create A LOT of controversy between conferences and probably that would be the end of the BCS NC game. At that point I think A LOT of universities might push for a play-off system.

Can Texas be left out in the cold? Yes. If OU wins out (which seems like the biggest possibility), and Florida Beats Alabama then it would be Florida and OU in the NC game. Texas would probably get the Fiesta Bowl bid against any of the following... USC (if Oregon State wins out), Utah, Ohio State (If Oregon State loses then USC would go to the Rose Bowl, which means Ohio State gets into a BCS bowl), or we might even go to the Sugar Bowl and play Alabama.

I know I had a headache after reading about 10 articles about all these scenarios. Oh wait... None of this matters if Texas doesn't beat Texas A&M. If Texas beats A&M then you should probably start cheering for OSU and if they don't beat OU, then cheer on Mizzou! That's the easiest way we get into the NC game.

Sadly for UK fans, Vandy won 27-20. Next up ending "the streak" versus Tennessee.

I predict the OSU "Aggies" are going to shock the Boo-hoo Sooners tomorrow. Forget the "if"!!!

I would love to see Florida put about 60-70 on 'Bama...Of course putting 60-70 on Blow-You would be prefered in a National Championship game.

USC blowing St.Penn to pieces in the Rose Bowl would be a good start for a year considering how much THIS YEAR has sucked!!!

I'm going to the Notre Dame v. USC game tomorrow night at the Los Angeles Coliseum. I'm so excited ...this is huge. The 80th meeting. We have to leave at 1:00 pm for a 5:00 pm start with all the traffic and parking hassle....plus a tailgate party.

I'm hoping for a 50 something to 0 romp for the Trojans. Traveler will be worn out!
