Jannie, we could kick butt. But we'd have to make Michele secretary of the interior. After all, she owns the place.

I had to look that one up; wasn't sure of the duties. I'm okay with that.

Well there was some report a couple of years back that when asked to draw Australia on a map of the world the majority of American school children drew it near Europe.

Actually you would be surprised at the number of Amercians who think we keep kangaroos as pets and that the hop down the main street on a daily basis. It seems to be one of the most commonly asked questions...

Oh yes and I used to have an Amercian girlfriend who asked me if we celebrated Christmas at the same time of the year as the US.

(Look I realise that its a stereotype - I can pretty much guarantee you have them about the Canadians, and probably us too)

since I was once asked, by a person from the East Coast, the following question:

"At night, do people in your town sleep at the Fort to avoid attacks by savage Indians?"

Definitely a WTF moment in my life.

Wait, you don't have kangaroos as pets? You're not near Europe? Wait, are you playing a joke on me?

Aactually my wife went to a work conference thursday/friday and a woman there from one of the other regions brought in a baby kangaroo in a bag that she was feeding/raising (the bag to imitate the mother's pouch as the mother was killed by a car). Not very professional but everyone seemed to love it. So maybe I am playing a joke on you

Well, I was thinking again. What if, instead of a "president," we had a Ledgie survivor. We could play it where we take around of nominations for all time best ledgie, then vote for your favorite and the least-vote-getter from each round would be eliminated. But, it's just an idea.

I just think any kind of popularity contest is asking for trouble.

I don't have a problem with Trouble. I think that it's a very nice song and not overdone like most of his stuff is. I don't have a problem with a little trouble either, competition brings out the best in some and the worst in others. And when people get in to big, long arguments over nothing at all, it is fun to read.

Does this make me a "troublemaker?"

OMFG

LMAO!!!

But serioulsy, why do we need any sort of contest. I agree with Pip, any contest would be stupid and a waste of time.

Plus we don't need any Ledgies with bad feelings that they lost.

So can't we just nix this idea? s'il vous plait???
[I need to brush up on some french, I haven't had it since last semester, and I'm gonna be screwed if I decide to do it in college...]
