TOTALLY random, but I am LOVING this 80 hours of 80's that VH-1 Classic is showing over the weekend. I was watching one video, and it was Hungry Eyes, by Eric Carmen I think, and this model chick in the video was wearing this outfit that was TOTALLY Stevie's Tango era outfit. The black dress w/ the gold leaf type design up the front. Then @ another point in the video, she is wearing a bustier type thing w/ these shoulder strap that fall a bit below the shoulder much like her outfit RAL era. I just wonder if these items were Stevie's or came to be Stevies. For as many things as she has designed for her, she must also come across stuff in costume depts. I would think...dunno. Just a quick shot, but I swear I am right....must find it on YouTube to re-test the theory, but then I'd have to endure that song again.

This doesn't look like her Tusk stage-clothing at all! It might be owned by Stevie, but definately not worn on stage.

She'd have tripped over John's power cable in that thing! Plus, it's way too hot to wear under stage lights.

She never wore that dress onstage! What people (buyers) don't realize is that most of the alleged personal items put up for sale (esp. on such auction houses as ebay) were rarely even acknowledged by the artist. These people get designers and labels and fans sending them things all the time. Most of the time an assisant accepts these things on behalf of the artist but then either donates right away to charity or it'll sit in some "warehouse" closet and the artis will never even see it. That's what most of these things are that are being sold on ebay. It's like w BN's boutique, Silver Springs Emporium . . . those items there were given to Stevie by fans. Most of the time she never even saw those things - they went straight into boxes to be delivered to the shop. The only time artists will really donate something of true personal value is when it goes publically to a charity. Otherwise, personal items she doesn't want she gives to friends and assistants.

I just saw the video, that's dress is almost identical to Stevie's Grammy Awards dress, I think the model's version is a bit shorter.

Thanks for posting this.

Personally I am a bigger fan of the bigger, flowier, more stylistic clothing. Don't know why, but I just am.

I really don't think those items belonged to her at all. I don't recognize any of them, and if they did belong to her wouldn't they have her consent to put them up for auction, or to have some of the proceeds go to charity or something? This just doesn't sound and look right to me at all. But this is just my opinion, but I feel in someways that it's a fact too. Sorry, but they were interesting pics to look at though.
