Wasn't Les Dudek in the stage band in this film?

So it's more inspired than based, isn't it? I mean, like Dreamgirls is inspired in the Supremes story, but not really based, cause lot of facts were different. Is the same case with The Rose?

With Les, less is more.

This movie has so many great lines in it. My favorite part is when she is in the little store and she tells the guy over the counter..."I am the Rose. THE ROSE!!!" So great! The musical performances are so full of passion. Gave me goosebumps!
