my humane society adventures

as some of you know, I volunteer for my local humane society every now and then and I got to again today. It is something I'm very passionate about and it really doesnt' seem like work at all! Everyone always asks how i can do it and manage not to bring them all home, but I don't really have to see them at the shelter. I meet the girls at Petsmart and all I have to do is play with them and get to celebrate when they go "home". anyway, i usually have some interesting stories/pictures, so I'll put them here. I know we have some animal lovers here that hopefully will appreciate them, so here we go

First, there was a girl volunteering today who has 41 cats at her house right now!!

most of them she is fostering, but many she has for herself. 4 that she has are only 3 days old. they still had their umbilical cord and someone had put them in a box and tossed them in a dumpster

she is bottlefeeding them, so hopefully they make it...I'm concerned though

and now for the good stuff LOL

here's little hitler kitty

little concentration camp kitties

and here is the very first puppy I fell in love from the first time i volunteered (for mike)

Francine-

disclaimer: and no, i don't mean any offense to homeless kitties or people in concentration camps. it's a joke

Volunteering for the SPCA was one of the best things I have ever done. I wanted to take something home every day!

Love that dog Michelle

omg they are so ****ing cute! I love volunteering at the humane society, but I always want to take all of the kitties home at the end of the day. Except for the bitchy ones.
