Rock & Roll and Beauty And The Beast were two other highlights.

Like I said, Stevie's voice was spot on. I went with my sister and mother and they were totally blown away. She sang so much better than when she was here with FM in 04.

So anyway, I loved every single song and really enjoyed every minute of it.

I know I'm making it sound like this concert sucked but it truly didn't.

No, you really didn't make it sound that way at all! Glad you, your sister, and your mother had such a great time at the show!

gday all i also went last night and was a little disapointed compared to the melb show,, that was just fkin incredible.

the crowd was a joke they were all there to c john and the fact she went on first shat me right off, he was supporting her not the other way around.

the couple of stevie fans really got into it..
the vocal was stunning again.. but the wind was a joke and she should have played 2 shows at the burswood theatre it would have been perfect.

the only downer or not so much downer but amusing thing was the woman next to me who was clearly a stoner from back in the day thought vanessa carlton was the Daughter???

i left after stevie and did not watch john i had work at 5 the next morning

I am shocked that Stevie played first...I hope she hasn't become worn down...maybe it is just too much travel and too many dates too soon but I still love her

I guess she doesnt feel that way anymore, so she her adlibs have changed.
My favorite part of OTR is "WellMickSaysStevieThisIsJustOneMoreLinkInTheChain"!!!! I absolutely love the way she belts that out...

Maybe that is why she wasn't in a good mood. If the audience isn't into it, that can make all the difference.

And if I were her, I'd be pissed that I was the opening act! Stevie is not "opening act" material! Then again, I think Vanessa Carlton is one of the best performers today and she's an opening act. She deserves more popularity...

I figured she wanted to go on first because she was sick and/or tired. I found it really weird because John was first in Brisbane, and I don't think they agreed to take turnsies.

We'll see after the Adelaide show I guess. That's a double bill isnt it?

I know! Enchanted was great when she sang it! Just a fun upbeat number and she dropped it!

Wasn't there a comment by Brisharry from when he spoke with Waddy about Stevie going on first cause Farnham's band used Stevie's band equipment and it f**ked up the sound for them when they came on after him?? Maybe that's the reason she went first.

She seems to thrive at the indoor enviro's.. maybe it's an asma (sp) thing?

so ive basically been lurking here for a while... but i just wanted to say..

i really REALLY love stevie and i think she gives a great preformance.. ive been to some concerts but i mean as far as compairing her to the stones... thats just weird there in a whole diffrent league then her when they preform... they honestly must be on some type of drug cause they dont seem to ever get tired... and ive been to both concerts... stevie and the stones.. stones have a ****load more energy and work alot more.. and to deny that is just being stupid

I think she may have just been having an off night. There are lots of factors that could have gone into that. She does that...it's not a sign of anything, IMO...yet.

and let's not start the comparisons if at all possible...

Did she replace it with a different song, or was it just dumped?

Stevie isn't Cher, Tina Turner, Bette Midler, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, or Bruce Springsteen. She can't be expected to have the same energy level as these others just because she's close to the same age. I'm 25 years younger than most of those people and I have less energy than they do.

As others have said, sounds like she had an off night but still put on a nice vocal performance. It's really up to the audience to decide if they got their money's worth. If Stevie starts putting in lethargic performances on a regular basis, then she will find smaller audiences over time. I personally don't care if she spins around anymore or does high kicks. As long as she sounds good and looks like she enjoys being on stage, I'll continue to see her.

That's an odd one for her to drop since it isn't taxing on her voice or anything. I wouldn't miss it at all, but would have wanted something in its place.
