It can't be bad... As I've been saying to everybody I know that's a Fleetwood Mac fan for the past three years.

I wish Lindsey would...........

Sure, he may be standing on stage by himself playing the Chet Atkins on "Big Love", but he's got a virtual orchestra of synth patches firing off at the same time. And, you wonder why you don't get the same tone as Lindsey when you try to play "Big Love"?

It's not that the RN-6 has any less tone than the Chet Atkins, Lindsey just has a not-quite-so-secret weapon installed on the Chet Atkins that he DOESn't have on his RN-6.
Sure, that Roland VG-8 plays a large part in the Big Love "big sound" (another major factor is the perfect delay setting), but I still insist that both BL and GI would sound signficantly different (i.e. worse, IMO) if you played them on an RN-6 (even if it was put through the VG-8 and delay). Despite the added flavouring of the VG-8 the dry tone of the Chet Atkins is still very prominent in those songs and it's a very distinctive tone, perfect for those songs. Listen to the Chet Atkins on the middle part of High Hopes by Pink Floyd - Gilmour also puts it through his own infamous huge set of FX but that distinctive tone is still very much there.
