I would guess that Stevie, at the height of her stardom would not have felt comfortable, say in a State park, or on a beach, or wandering around town. She is like the Lady of Shalott, with a TV instead of a mirror.

If I had time tonight, I would Photoshop her into a Waterhouse.

That first one you practically don't have to photoshop, it already looks like her. Just a smidge here and there, and voila!

That's true! I just noticed this one, though, and I would swap out the mirror behind her for a widescreen TV.

(I don't think this one is Waterhouse)

That's appropriate for the subject at hand, but really the mirror is very "Gypsy" and so I would vote to keep it...
And about the other - I've actually never seen a non stevie picture look so much like stevie. It suddenly creeped me out/made me happy.

Hey I just thought of something: Stevie rhymes with TV.

I recently posted about the fun to be found in quickly uttering the phrase "Stevie DVD."

what's up with that? she lives in a beautiful part of LA, right up against the mountains with easy access to hiking trails and gorgeous beaches.
you don't watch tv during the day in LA! you go outside and live life!
We have quite a few Ledgies from the LA area who spend quite a bit of time posting here... maybe the scenery gets to be old hat after awhile, and one would just as soon sit in front of the TV or the PC.

Snickers? She's more of a Whatchamacallit girl. And you must be straight trippin' boo if you thinks he gorges on Haagen Dazs. Nothing but the finest gelato for the queen. She has Chris go out of his way to get her some when he goes on his beer runs.

Which songs do you think might have been inspired by a program on television? Think, perhaps, even of songs that you have believed were about personal experiences.[/QUOTE]

I read somewhere that Landslide was inspired by a PBS show about a U.S. Geological Survey Team, or some such thing.

I had to leave for a Thanksgiving visit, and didn't reply, but I agree that the mirror is perfect for the Gypsy era. I have an oval standing mirror that I got in '83, and I am sure I had that video in my mind when I bought it.
