Whatever. If you want to call me assinine, and with such little provocation, then I'll just step aside.
You made no such qualifying remark in your first statement. Then, when asked to qualify it, you apparently said that you thought no book should ever be made into a movie, which is assinine as I noted in my inference in my first response.

I didn't say that. I said I didn't want these books to be made into a movie, because I love them.

I said "I love these books, so of course I don't want them to be made into a movie".
I never said "All books should not be made into movies!"

you know, it's fine. I can withhold my opinion about a Narnia movie if it means I'm going to be called names.
Good Day.

Then what were you responding to when you said "Yep" in your second response because the question was "So, are you saying no book should ever be made into a movie?" - which presumably on its face does not support your current statements "I didn't say that. I said I didn't want these books to be made into a movie, because I love them."

In the end, I no longer care.

You always take things so personally. I was not calling you as a person assinine. But, you can think that if you want to

Lord of the Rings was great, but Narnia has more potential of being silly even with steller production. Mice as warriors? Talking beavers? I can hear the idiots laughing now.

I didn't infer that at all from what she said. It was made pretty clear that the books are beloved to her and she didn't want them to be ruined by a sub-par film version.

It looked pretty good in the clip at that link - I hope all of it is as good. Remember that AWFUL animated thing they did awhile back - OY!

When do we ever think alike?

And - what was her "Yep." in response to then?

Moreover, only books she doesn't love should be made into film?

I'm pretty certain that it wasn't in response to your inference that she thought no book she ever be made into a movie.

As a matter of fact, I was NOT saying yep to that.

When I say something, and you say "that is assinine" then I take it a bit personally, yeah. But you can pretend that that isn't really like calling me assinine. And here's your assinine eye rolling right back atcha!

drop the nails and hammer dear.

Looks like we both need to read a bit more carefully. I was saying "Yep, I don't want the Narnia books made into a movie, despite how "great" LOTR was."
