Default Court sources: Rehnquist retiring
Announcement by chief justice said to be imminent

http://worldnetdaily.com/news/articl...TICLE_ID=45166

Following on the heels of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist will announce his retirement before the end of the week, according to court sources cited by columnist Robert Novak.

O'Connor suprised many court watchers when she gave President Bush a resignation letter last Friday while all eyes were on the ailing Rehnquist.

this will really change the make up of the court. My hubby is a lawyer, and says if they get the wrong mix, they may try to overturn Roe v. Wade. Who knows, though.

If by "interesting" you mean frightening and kind of crappy, I agree.

When the picture in your post appeared on the MSN home page it was cropped to only include the white bunting above the stars. I thought shrub was doing a Marilyn Monroe impersonation.

LOL - that is totally what the picture looks like - George in a dress

As for Rehnquist - *sigh* It seems that the White House etc. likes to issue big news like that on Fridays - there was a story about that on NPR (places issuing things on Friday) - I hope the rumors aren't true

dark times ahead. dark times.

Yup. Morgantown, WV. It really doesn't look like that. He spoke on the University's campus so it would look all rustic and old. It's very much a city. He's good at fooling the public like that.

Well, they can replace a right winger with one - I have no problem with that from a functional standpoint - but TWO
