My BF used to make sushi sometimes, it turned out well and was pretty easy. You just have to have the rice roller thingy. But perhaps you meant other japanese food...anyway, i'm sure it will be delish...
It is! A friend of mine turned me on to it and I've never looked back.

I plan to try all kinds of Japanese food, including sushi. I got the bamboo mat as a X-mas present, so now I just have to decide where to get the fish. If I should go to a real fishmonger and which one...like that.

I hope it's delish! I'm curious how long I can eat miso soup and still love it!

ooo! I know, i haven't had Miso in awhile, but i love it too. You could also get crab and make Cali rolls...anyways, i'm sure you know that. Fishmongers scare me, but...

Oh I'll at least try all the rolls. But I figure a real fishmonger would have the freshest fish, no? Better than the supermarket?

There's a sushi bar at my grocery store. Yum! I like unagi, spicy salmon, tuna and California rolls the best. They also make fresh potstickers.

I love sushi, but I only eat the raw fish kind occasionally. There's a gourmet-type grocery store near work & I pick up their Full Moon combo about once a week for lunch (just had it yesterday.) YUM! That and edamame - love it.

I never thought I could crave sushi, only junk food. But I do! I hadn't had it in a couple weeks & yesterday I was practically salivating at the thought of it.

Was it Wegman's Paula? Do you have Wegman's in Buffalo?

Anyway - I've never had Sushi actually... I grew up an extremely picky eater - so I didn't branch out much - never had Mexican or Chinese food til I was in college

So now I'm more open-minded when it comes to food - Sushi is on my list of things to try

Wait, you never had Mexican? and you're from New Mexico? I'm suprised.

Stereotype!

It's like saying, "You're from WV, but have all your teeth?"

It's exactly the same for me. I never would've touched that stuff before and now I look for Chinese and Mexican places to try.

Yup, that it was, Deanna, that it was! Wegman's rawks! They have these Japanese master chef guys rolling it fresh daily. It's sooooo good, you really must try it! If you're leary of the whole raw fish thing, try California roll (all veggie.)
