So if Lynne Cheney was so outraged by John Kerry's comments where the hell was she when the idiot (Alan Keyes) running against Barruck Obama made his infamous anti-gay remarks a few weeks ago (the kicker-he's got a lesbian daughter too)!

And then there's the South Carolina Senate Race. Jim DeMint, a rethug congressman is running against current SC Dept of Education Secretary inez Tennebaum. Well, in a debate last week DeMint announced that gay teachers shouldn't be allowed to teach in SC classrooms as gays did not reflect the "values" of the people of the State of South Carolina.

Hmmm--this is the same state that had Strom Thurmond as a Senator for about 100 years--you remember ole' Strom don't you--the one who had a half-black daughter he'd fathered with his family's maid? The rabid anti-segregationist who was sleeping with black women on the side? Was that a South Carolina value?

Oops-mini-rant inside of a rant there--but anyway, the upshot of all of this is that Lynne's hubby, Deadeye Dick Cheney has come to the state like twice to campaign for DeMint. Where the hell was the Cheney's outrage over anti-gay remarks when they were spoken by DeMint last week?

Yo, I agree with you there! But, he must have known she was writing it, and she must have known his politics...I mean, would someone write and publish a whole book like that? In that family? For no reason? And it's hard to write a book, even one like that. Either she is a super lesbian, and had to get it out, or she just found out her daughter was gay and wrote it for her, or...I can't think of anything else! I mean, if she HAD to write some kind of weird soft porn book, it could've been hetero. Maybe they're both one part of a "beard" couple, he's gay, she's gay.... Seriously, it's very mysterious to me, it just doesn't make sense....

I heard about a couple things Nighthorse Campbell voted for that I was not happy about. Like, he's basically just a middle of the road democrat in native american clothing. I think it may have been an environmental thing, which really pisses me off. But, people are people...

The chances of that happening is the same as "Hill-Billy" Clin-ton dumping the Demos and becoming a die-hard right wing fruitcake! (But flipping parties doesnt apply if yer last name is Orza or Richardson...Who have ran for offices on all 3 party tickets in Oklahoma!)

much about NHC, But knowing how DIEHARD Democratic all the Indian Tribes of Oklahoma are, If Carson was to switch he would know his political career would end immediately...He would be scorned by the Native people of this state which is the 'be all end all' of politicians in this state (Remember Oklahoma has 3,000,000 in population...About 1,000,000 is Native American and "ya dont go pissing on their backs and tell 'em it's raining")

ok. but Carson's not switching, is he? He sounds like a "f**k you, asshole!!" Kind of guy. which isn't great for a politician but i kinda respect it. But you can't offend everyone...wow, 1/3 of your population is native? Man, those people really got the short shrift, land wise... They're probably a bunch of the descendents of "wounded knee" and that death march...(forgive me if my facts aren't proper)

he is not switching...No telling where that rumor started at. He seems to be a no-nonsense kinda guy, So I am sure he will take that no-nonsense approach to Washington DC.

Btw, The Native people in this state were screwed over countless times...Think about it, the Union STOLE their original lands and forced then out to a useless tract of land called the "Indian territory" (Countless hundreds, if not thousands died during the "Trail Of Tears"). But once this useless tract of land was found to have oil "Well hell lets take it back from those savages and make it a part of the Union of states." Thus Oklahoma became a state on Nov.16,1907

Kinda funny but most of the 5 Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma (Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Seminole & Creek) sided with the Confederacy during the Civil War in hopes of winning back their RIGHTFUL lands back from the Northern THIEVES if the Confederacy won the war...But we know how that turned out.

End of yer "Oklahoma History" lesson...

the native's biggest mistake then was trusting that white people (you know what i mean. Indians betrayed themselves, too, but) would honor their contracts, and not be super resource grubbing, consuming, a-holes...now, since it is the American way, every ethnicity is like that! great.
