Third Debate

Comments?

I was too nervous and could not watch it. I did while flipping through the channels, however, see in a split screen W smirking at Kerry while Kerry was making a point - what a pious jerk.

Bush was very annoying! I think Kerry did a great job. Tonight made me like him even more.

I'm a Kerry supporter and will definitely be voting for Kerry, but I would not say that Kerry won the debate tonight. I think it was a draw. Just my opinion.

Both sides will spin it however they want, of course. I cannot WAIT for this election to be over.

Did anyone notice the white crap on the side of W's mouth?

lololol

who was the unlucky guy?

strandinthewind 10-13-2004 10:19 PM

CNN reports an instant polling of viewers has Kerry at 52 and W and 39 (I think those are accurate) - also these numbers were similar to the first debate, which all agree Kerry won!!!!!!!!

strandinthewind 10-13-2004 10:33 PM

www.foxnews.com has Kery winning it by 65% TO w'S 35% - this is a non scientific instant poll and will change as time goes on and more people vote. But still . . . on Fox News

And Gallop tends to screw towards Repugs, not Democrats.

The answer to every question for Shrub seemed to be "No Child Left Behind." No matter what the question-he only wanted to talk about Education! Jesus-what a moron!

Well, the education stuff is a success when compared to EVERY other issue. I mean the health care is a travesty, the millions of jobs promised have never appeared, etc. So, . . . the education stuff, which is not really a sucess, is all he has to hang his hat on. AND - Kerry totally called him on it.

ShangriLaTroubl 10-13-2004 10:38 PM

George Bush skirted around every issue presented at him. Instead of ADDRESSING Affirmative action and telling viewers his views, he like you said, went back to education and said "i think we need to educate people more."

And yes I TOO noticed the white in the corner of his mouth that NEVER went away...I think it was a good debate--I'm sure both candidates satisfied their bases, but I think the few undecided voters left saw or should have seen Kerry's stance on the issues affecting us all. He was straightforward in his answers about gay rights, and medical issues...It seems to me that Bush will contradict and say any number that is presented at him that disagrees with him is just FALSE

You forgot Poland

I particularly like the line of Presidents and their famous statements.

Oh my God!!! Thank you so much for posting that site! Now I have to get my own "You Forgot Poland" ringer shirt! That was hilarious!

Anyway, could Bush have done more of an evil cackle?
"Bait and switch. Heh heh."

I think this was Bush's best performance and Kerry's worst to be honest. Kerry's best was the first debate. I don't think it matters anyway, since most people had their minds made up a long time ago.

I can't wait until this is over. These campaigns have been quite dirty, on both sides.

I agree I hope it's over on Nov 3. Not carried out for months.. Although I also hope it's fair. And seeing things coming up in the news, it isnt looking like its on the fair side yet...We will see....But I really want this campaign to be over, it really unfortunately causes me to have ill feelings to everyone who disagrees with me...And I know thats not right, but i cant help it!

I'm having that same problem. I think I'll be a nicer person once this is all over. I walk down the street and think to myself, Just counted four people who would be happy if I were never allowed to get married, and I have to get a grip at some point and think about other things.
