We have more whites doing mass murders then blacks and any other race . Like in schools like Newtown .Columbine high school plus others. .Malls ,Churches ,Highway sharp shooters,Idiots using their car as a weapon as they drive through crowds, Movie Theaters.This goes for anybody and it does not matter who and where you are from.Parenting as one issue to come to mind.Are they awake and watching what their little ones are doing.Got broken families with dead beat mothers or fathers.Who they hang with.Check their i Phones and computers out. Us my age remember when we got our a$$ pounded by our fathers or mothers until our ass is beat red and sore.With this PC world in charge .Nobody can do it anymore without getting arrested and your kids get takin' from you. I dont see any discipline anymore.Some are afraid of their kids as they will call the police on them.Thats why we see these young adults going nuts like they are now and they dont have any respect for anybody because of the sheety upbringing.. Rant over...................

Well the truth is- no I don’t like his point.

Let’s be honest, a disproportionately high level of crime is committed in the US (and the UK) by black people (particularly young black males). And yes a high number of people, including black people are murdered by other black people. However, I don’t think there is any strong evidence from any credible research to suggest black people are inherently more aggressive, less conscientious and more likely to commit violent crime as a result of their genetic make-up. Thus, the disproportionately high level of crime committed by black people can only be as a consequence of societal factors.

That more black people are killed by other black people is entirely down to the gang culture in the US. Unfortunately large numbers of young black males associate with gangs. All evidence suggests gang membership is directly correlated with socio -economic status; people raised in relative poverty in urban areas are significantly more likely to join gangs.

Sadly young males all too often lack positive male role models. In the US the absence of fathers can partly be attributed to the high numbers of black males in prison (in the US, 756 black people are jailed per 100,000 of the population compared to 153 per 100,000 in the UK). There is therefore a cycle that is difficult to break; black people have nothing, they often grow up in broken homes, join gangs to supplement the families they don’t have and then go to jail. Amongst the black prison population there is a high incidence of mental health issues, learning disability and substance abuse. One in three black males will spend time in prison in the US.

I admit I do not think the black communities help themselves enough. I think (some) black culture such as rap music, is deplorable in its glorification of drugs, violence, anti-police imagery and general misogynistic messages. As far as the UK is concerned I am sure the black community itself could do more to harness positive black role models to a much greater and more effective extent. That said, there have been several successful initiatives in the UK aimed at raising the aspirations of young black people. Consequently black males are now far from being the biggest under-achieving group in UK schools (that would now be white working class children). Hopefully in time this will have positive impact on our own worryingly high rate of black-gang mortality.

Racism is still very prevalent in the UK, though it now tends to be much more subtle and exist through institutional structures. However, racism seems to be a much greater problem in the US. There is a much greater divide in terms of likely life chances for white and black people. As humans are born as equals there must be factors within your country that are restricting upward social mobility amongst the black community. These will be the same factors that are determining that black people cannot act or direct. When back people are told they can’t act and when they see images of white police officers shooting black people in cold blood then they believe life is stacked against them and thus they are more likely to want to fight back against 'the system'.

I am frustrated to hear/read comments such as 'well more blacks are killed by other blacks' as if that in some way justifies police officers that shoot black men in cold blood. Such recent incidents only come to national/international attention as they were recorded- many black people in America feel such treatment is commonplace. By the way, a notable statistic is that unarmed black people (in the US) are much more likely to be shot dead by police than unarmed white people. I don't necessarily believe a high proportion of white police officers are intentionally racist, however for whatever reason they do treat black people differently even when there is no need for them to do so. This is something that should be tackled if you are to break the cycle. As a country it is in your interests; I'd say it costs many times more to prosecute and imprison such huge numbers of black people than it would to positively address institutionalised racism and take steps to redress the ethnic-economic imbalance.

People are always using facts and figures to suit an agenda. This is commonly what racist/sexist/homophobic (etc) people do to justify their beliefs. I don't think you are racist- I just don't think you can quite get your head around why some of the things you say would be considered racist in nature.
