Apparently Trump is promising to restore law and order (somehow)... his appeal as a great protector and strong (he calls Hillary weak a lot)... or the 'man card' in other words (as seen in print ads for an assault style rifle).

I think the Minnesota police officer was panicked, he sounded semi-hysterical in the video. It's the Baton Rouge officer I found most disturbing and with four previous incidents.

I'm still sure that a President Trump would have a big spaz and quit before too long when he finds out (like Jimmy Carter) simply saying something be so does not make it happen, and many Republicans never mind Democrats will block him.

Thats the problem here .No background checks to get the nut cases screened out.They got to get checked for past issues .I dont care if even the person is a military person like this guy was. I think they should have a mental evaluation checks by a shrink before purchase .I'm pro 2nd admt.Trump is not to blame.Its the current admin is to blame for this crap going on.The other problem is nobody does not want to do something when flags pop up like this guy had plenty to show.Time to wake up America.

The bloodshed and beating up on both sides got to stop.I did stupid crap when I was young .This was probably around the early 1980's .I remember when I got pulled over for a checkup.I got out of the car to see whats up and all hell broke loose as the officer screamed."GET BACK IN THE CAR" as his hand was on his gun holster .Luckily thats all what happen and both of us calm down and he was just checking if I had all the stuff up to date.He could of panicked and knock me off there..

Both President Obama and President Bush will appear together tomorrow in Dallas. Its a sign to stop dividing everyone US vs THEM. Its a divided country for sure but tragedy should not be used as a wedge.

I don't doubt American police officers in the main do a great job and I know your crazy gun laws make the job a whole lot more difficult....but...

I read a bizarre statistic today... there have been something like 1500 people (of all ethnicities) shot dead by police in the USA since January 2015. In that same time period just 5 people were killed (by any means) by police in the UK. Indeed, only 50 people have been killed by police officers in the UK since 1980. In the US since 1980...

Here in Australia i believe the statistics would be much less, no more than 15 killed by cops per year.. That's just a guess btw.. We hardly ever hear about it on the news..

Thanks to our gun laws, random shootings just don't happen or very rarely, the main culprits are Biker gangs shooting each other, once in awhile.. No doubt our cops shoot to kill, protecting themselves and the public in dangerous situations. Fortunately our cops are not on high alert every time they pull someone over for random license checks etc. So the average law abiding citizen never really feels threatened by them.. and that's exactly how it should be. Our country has its problems, but i wouldn't want to live anywhere else..

I hope the US can find a solution before it gets even worse in these troubling times ahead.
