Ummm...they can do whatever they want, but they promised us one. OVER AND OVER the last two years. So they should keep their word, That's the only reason I went and spent good money on their last tour. I was excited about a new album. Unless they are promising an album so it doesn't look like they are only out to do a cash grab. If so be honest about it.

The new album will come in due time. I bet this time next year it will be released. They just spent over a year on tour together. They deserve a break for now.

See that doesn't do it for me. What makes that different than the Dance tour except without any new songs and they're nearly 20 years older? I'm sure it's great for them to have their bandmate and musical partner back, it's their livelihood after all, but as a fan, if they don't give us new music then it really means little to me that she came back. That reunion tour already happened in 97/98 and it was recorded on video and audio recordings for us to enjoy forever.

It's not the same as being there in person. Also, for the younger fans who didn't get to see them back in the 70s or 80s or even the 90s. It was pretty awesome that Christine came back. I never thought that would happen.

Yes indeed .I agree 100 percent with the cash grab but I went to 2 shows to just enjoy all 5 of them performing without an album in mind.We are very lucky that Chris came back home to join them.

If this last tour was a repeat of the 4some tour without Chris .I would probably back out on seen multiple shows.

God willing.I hope this last tour was not their last.

Even though I was one of the lucky ones to see Chris with FM in the 70's and 80's, witnessing the amazing reception she got all over the world from the audiences in 2014-15 felt better than all the applause she got beforehand. She was much more appreciated for her contributions to the band.

I concur. Lindsey touted Christine's return signaled as a new chapter in the band. I assume, beyond their oldies world tour, that meant a new album. If the Rumours configuration of the band had made more than five studio albums, it wouldn't matter too much to me. I suppose all the solo albums sort of make up for lack of a few more albums they could have made as the five fireflies.

Given the numerous upheavals this band has faced in it's circuitous history, it's amazing the brand/band has even survived. Yet, time is ticking, and sooner than later Fleetwood Mac will retire. As a lifelong fan, I can't imagine the idea of not wanting them to give us one more album of new music; a parting gesture from themselves to their fans. Naysayers damn the light! Tours are fleeting moments in time. Albums form a lasting legacy.

The roar of the crowd in LA when Christine started singing sent chills down my spine. It was amazing to see how much she brought back to this band. And Stevie's welcome to her put a tear in my eye.

Knowing that new music is just sitting there nearly completed is maddening. I admire your outlook, but it's the prospect of new music that made me enthusiastic about the reunion. It was hyped before a year long tour began and so naturally I am champing at the bit. (It is champing, not chomping right?) Anyway, like I said in my last post, I know people will disagree, but I do feel they owe their ardent fans a timeline and, more importantly, the damn record.

I did get this sense, as well. People saw her in a new way, no longer an asset taken for granted but an essential part of the chemistry these five people possess.

I get this, but given their ages, I worry about it. The more practical part of me says they should have completed the new music BEFORE going out on the road. Christine is 72. John has had a serious health scare. All of them are at a critical stage in their lives where it is quite possible anything could happen. I just hope that if we have to wait yet one more year for the album that all of them are still in good shape.

We are all impatient. I get that. I cant think of a band that after touring the world for 1 1/2 years went immediately in the studio to record another album. And if they did, the music would suffer because their heads would not be in the game. Personally, I don't want an album for album's sake. I don't want an "extended" extended play. Please let them take 9 months off to relax, do what they want to do, and possibly write songs for the new album. I suspect and hope by the fall they will all be in the studio hard at work. I hate it when people accuse the tour as a "cash grab." Its a miracle that Chris came back. Remember when Mick and Stevie said there was a better chance of an asteroid hitting the earth than Chris coming back. That tour was amazing and the fans are so thankful. They gave it their all with touring the states twice before going to Europe and Australia and New Zealand.
They need their space. They need their rest. If they immediately went to the studio, the music would not be as good and the chances of a tour after the new record would be slim. I am betting there will be one more album and a farewell tour. This deserves time and creativity.

No offense, but some of you sound a little spoiled and greedy. The band does not "owe" us anything. I'm sure they have sacrificed a lot over the last 40 plus years for the music and the fans.

What's wrong with you people?? It's only been 29 years since the Rumours line up put out any material.
