He and Stevie are just friends now. I'm debating whether to get this book. I liked the Eurythmics a lot in the 1980s and it sounds like quite a read...

Some of these relationships were clearly ill advised and I do not condone cheating. If a guy dates a lot of partners though he is called a stud. If a woman does the same she is called a lot worse. It's as if we think guys just can't help themselves and so they are forgiven more easily. I don't think it's always fair. Most of these relationships seemed to mean something to Stevie (even with Dave it's turned into something creatively meaningful) but it was very difficult for them to work and I think she was often disappointed.
It seems like she had a tendency at her lowest points to have totally inappropriate relationships that only gave her more heartache and now she's sworn off them entirely. I think so has Christine. The 80s had good moments for Stevie's solo career but often when I look at films of her 1983-6 I don't think she is feeling great about herself or confident. She has it back now with a bit more wisdom fortunately. Annie was a very striking woman. Dave just ordinary and had no real charisma but they made some great music. This is nerdy of me but when I read musician biographies I often become more interested in their music creation process than the scandals and gossip. I am still surprised about Stevie and Dave. I guess they are both eccentrics but otherwise seem so different with their backgrounds. But there's probably a lot I don't know about Dave because he seemed so quiet. He's a genius in his own way though so I think I will read his book

Nice picture. Dave Stewart must have something going for him. He has dated some very attractive and impressive women. There was Annie and also Siobhan Fahey. She looks a bit scary these days but was cute when younger. I think though to be taken more seriously sbe tried to change her image. Before she was with Dave she was in a very successful group. She didn't marry him for money or fame because she already had that.
