And gldstwmn, I think it's best to take Stevie literally at all times to avoid confusion. (Next you'll have us believe she speaks in metaphors!) She said she was falling out of one love and into another, and she means it.
She was on Mick (way up high), fell onto Waddy until they untangled their hair, and in her drug haze, she landed on little Jimmy Icanclimbonavine. (Okay, okay, so I played with the sequencing a little.)

Certainly some of the guys Stevie has been linked to romantically, have not been the most gorgeous... but I think that just goes to show that Stevie's not a shallow, looks-conscious person.
