As soon as I wrote that I read another thread with other people admitting to liking both songs lol. For the longest time I never seen anyone say that

If the band had any sense at all, collectively or otherwise, it would be thoroughly ashamed at having allowed "Mic the Screecher" onto the 2004 reissue.
The idea that this pointless, idiotic, and extremely annoying length of tape was included in the track list is easily the saddest, stupidest decision I can ever remember the band or its reps making. To think that another unused Rumours track was sacrificed for this is a howler. They gave us less than 60 seconds of the tantalizing, mysterious "Butter Cookie" to make room for "Mic the Screecher"? Are you KIDDING ME?! That ONE MOVE takes the 2004 reissue out of the realm of Classic and drags it down into that of Severely Botched. Someone's head should have rolled for it; someone's ass should have been canned.

I don't neccessary think that the songs we don't like are the ones that FM regret recording. For all we know, the gang might consider Silver Girl, Family Man, and Only Over You some of their favorites.

Anyway I just wonder what was thinking about our "paranormal friend" Mick when he had the idea for that song, back in 1976? ![]()

As for Only Over You, wouldn't be surprised that anyone considered it a favorite. Michele |

Right. And I didn't ask what songs do you guys think they should regret, though it's interesting to know fans opinions. But I ask what songs did they actually regret, I mean if there's any interview, article, etc. where some of them said Hey, including this song was a mistake. I guess the best approach to that was whay I've read about IDWK

Family Man bad? No way! I think Lindsey was talking about his family and how their words of wisdom and love stick with him wherever he goes. At least that's what I think when I hear him singing the lyrics. Also, the spanish guitar captures the feeling of walking along a road going on your journey through life and being alone. When his voice is low and distorted when he says "a family man", that should've been left out.
"Only Over You" is a great song. Especially when Christine sings "and it's only over you". That whole song is airy and dreamy, it's like she's whispering a feeling. "Welcome To The Room Sara" and "When I see You Again" should have either been left off of TITN or arranged differently. Same with "Empire State" and "You And I, Part II" (part I is good but was a single). |

Not the song itself, but the music and the special effects in it. Even if I don't like the song, the lyrics is good anyway! ![]() Quote:
"When I see you again" it's so different from the other songs in TITN. It's very sweet and reminds me of "Songbird" in the Rumours album: a way to change and make a more versatile album, suitable for all musical tastes.
