Default How have you guys done with the Presales/Onsales?

Please post how you've done (as far as good seats go) if you've already bought tickets for this tour. I'd like to find out to get an idea of how my upcoming presales/onsales will turn out.

Thanks!!!

To me...they've sucked.
I was on every presale (Amex, whatever...) and nothing.
I don't have a ticket yet to any of the 3 concerts I'm planning on going to.
So, there you have it.

The Dallas presale in iloveaccess.com or American Express entertainment admits just credit cards from US and Europe. no latin country in the list. Absurd, in the past I've bought show tickets several times at Ticketmaster with no problem.

We bought our package on ILAA and we got the 5* with the Meet and Greet. So, I spoke to the lady and she said the seats were first come first serve and she said that we should be really good... We got ours as soon as they went on sale. I am hoping that we get center seats. They cold be row 5 for all I care as long as they are center.

I wanted to go with the Amex presale, but unfortunately I had to change my plans. Hopefully I can get some decent seat through Ticket Rush or Ticketmaster Marketplace.

Well, the ILAA website states that your seat number for the VIP packages will be available at the venue at the day of the concert only. :S This is why I won't buy a VIP package. If I knew I'd get a seat in the first few rows I'd be more willingly to spend so much money.

Default The Tour Is Selling!!!

So... I read the nicksfix.com page this morning that contained the press release from Live Nation. Take a second to check it out.

In a nutshell, Jason Garner, C.E.O., Live Nation says that most of the December released dates have sold out. The success of this tour gives them hope for the 2009 concert season. I have followed nearly ALL of the dates and the sales of those dates since they were initially released for sale. I have found that second tier pricing has been more beneficial for sales. Many of the first tier ($150) are still avilable. Aas we have all noticed, Ticketmaster is releasing better seats everyday.

What does this mean to us? We cannot trust the Ticketmaster system. You can get a section "F" ticket one day and a week later get section "A"... Which makes NO flippin' sense to me. For future reference I am going to consult Stubhub, or other licensed ticket distributors, before purchasing a ticket.

HOWEVER... Tickets are selling.

In my opinion, this illustrates that regardless the price, THE MAC stands tall to entertain AND TO MAKE THAT MONEY!!!

other than the Albany show, which others were cancelled? People here are referring to the shows (plural) being cancelled, but I only knew of one getting the ax.

Yeah, most of us read the press release last week and took it for the BS that it was. They had to spin the canceled concert & poor sales on 80% of the dates (not to mention the necessity to reduce/refund the ILAA package price) somehow. While blatently lying about the tour being a wild success was the least plausible route, granted, they really had no other choice.

So where is the information that you have been reading that says it was BS? Not that I am pushing the issue, but where do you get your information? I am certain that the cancellation of dates was a sign, but I have no clear explaination as to why they were cancelled. I could speculate, but that doesn't mean that I am right.

I will accept what the source says until I am given information otherwise-by tour officials.

HAPPY OBAMA DAY!!!

Knowledge is gained through experience.
There is much experience, hence much knowledge surrounding much
of the information posted on this board.
It is nice to be optimistic, but where this subject is concerned, it is naive.

Guess it's like Stevie and Tom said, "make a meal of some bright eyed kid..."
