It should be a huge hit with the fundies. Jeb Bush is seeing to that.

I'm a huge fan of Tilda Swinton, but I don't know if I'll end up seeing it.

Well, it is very religious in its underlying message, etc.

But, the books were great even without that

I just find it funny that the movie is being released by a company that donates loads to Republicans (Walden Media) and Jeb Bush is telling the children of Florida to read the book so that they can participate in the "Just Read, Florida" contest.

Oh, and the last book that "Just Read, Florida" sponsored (Carl Hiaasen's "Hoot") is also being made into a movie. By Walden Media.

I love those books, which is why I don't want to see a movie version. You know, all christianity aside?

C.S. Lewis is great.

You find a problem with EVERYTHING that involved Christianity don't you?

???????

The books have a very Christian message. The whole story with the Lion sacrificing himself...then returning to life because he was innocent. At any rate, the books are EXCELLENT...i've been reading them since I was young.

I've liked The Chronicles of Narnia since I was a kid and can't wait for the movies. I'm a little weary as to how good they'll be though. Some things are ok to read, like talking animals for example, but might end up looking very comical on the big screen.

But, then again, you have the recent production of LOTR which was brilliant. So, it can be done despite Amber's hatred of the mere thought much less LOTR

But, I agree the potnetial is, as alwyas, there for a silly production.

Josh + C.S. Lewis = non workable equation.
