I'm very disappointed with Stevie - and have been for a while. I've seen her twice in concert - the last time in Vegas - and I'm not planning on seeing her again. She seems to think that putting songs in different places in a setlist is enough to have people spend hundreds of $$ to watch old regurgitated stuff, done the same way, and then throw us a bone with a cover version.
I would be happy to max out my credit card seeing her in a smaller, more intimate setting, mixing up the old songs (perhaps doing them acoustically? Re-arranging them to sound fresh?) with unrecorded old or new stuff. She seems to want to rest on her history, instead of dipping into her creativity and expanding on that. I'll pay anything to watch creativity at work.
Paying to see her go through the same old motions, yet again, seems a complete waste to me.
I was just watching an interview on Youtube where she says she doesn't want to be boring, and always tries to do something interesting and new on stage. Think maybe someone could send her the clip?
