I was reading something about Jon in a magazine and they reported that he and his wife live in this massive house with like 10 servants. So that could certainly make one look rested and content without the benefits of plastic surgery.

I believe that's called a fiddle.
Also I think that guitar sound is the pedal steel guitar which really gives it away a a "country" song. Stevie had someone play one though, if memory serves on After The Glitter Fades.
