I agree in part. I too love Mariah and was addicted "back in the day" and was really shocked when she changed the format of her music. But I had to walk away for a while and come back to her music and appreciate it in a different way. Yeah, she doesn't do ballads the way she used to or use her voice the way she used to, but she does an amazing job of layering vocals and really takes time to make a REAL remix and produces some nice tracks. Emancipation is an awesome album and We Belong Together is worth the price of the album, IMO.

Also, I watched Mariah about 1 1/2 yrs ago do some of her older songs and honestly, she couldn't do it. Her voice was extremely raspy. So, I guess she works what she's got. She's more of a studio singer anyway. But I still love her.
