I tend to miss her more obviously on those songs, because I don't need my imagination to know what it would have been like, especially
BTLH after The Dance.
As for the title referencing her absence, I do think I can "hear" her not being there throughout, like an echo. In fact, when I first heard Red Rover, on the album I thought he was saying "Christine you were dying . . . " discussing her misery as the Dance tour trudged along. So, when I read the liner notes and found he was saying, "could see you were dying," I was rather bummed.
