New Single Next Week?
Per Nickslive.blogspot.com, the first single from Seeds We Sow will be released next week (presumably In Our Own Time). Anxiously awaiting the new CD and I would prefer to listen to the whole CD at one time. Undoubtedly, I will buy the new single as soon as it is commercially available. I have no will power or the patience to wait for the whole CD.

Is anyone else.....
.....a little scared about the prospect of this being another sorta "whispering meadows" cd? All the new songs, in the live videos, are sung in full voice and sound KILLER. But he's cleary self-conscious about using full voice on record recently. And the opposite is true as well; he performs "Shut Us Down", "Not Too Late", etc in full voice live. Is anyone else scared that these new songs, which are great in the energetic, shouting versions we've heard of them, will be totally sucked dry in the studio versions?

I was ok with his GOS vocals though. UTS was the problem. Michele |

I don't really mind the whisper voice, maybe on one of two songs is fine, but no more! |

OMG something to which I am certainly looking forward!!!
ETA: where on nickslive is the news? |
Lindsey's Newest CD...
 Where does one buy this CD? Amazon or in a store ???
We never know how to do it...my friends bought me UTS and GOS from the computer to make me happy! How can we read Lindsey's revamped site? Thanks for any help! Cammie |
I totally had no issue with it on UTS, I thought it was great, and actually, I don't much care for the live versions of many of those tracks, because he does them in full voice live. "Shut Us Down" for example just sounds wrong to me in full voice. I'm more thinking about GOS, tracks like "Did You Miss Me", and "Love Runs Deeper". Big uptempo rock tracks with the whispery verse. To my ears, the verses of "Did You Miss Me" are ATROCIOUS.

Ok, please educate me....
When people say a new single will be out, what does this mean exactly? Does that mean that radio will receive it and (probably won't) play it? Does it mean it will go to stores to add to their playlists? Will it go on sale via iTunes?
It's just difficult these days being a Lindsey fan (or any artist not in the Top 40) since radio is so homogenized and doesn't want to play anything new by older bands and band members. Perhaps some requesting is in order to our local stations that MAY play the single. |

I'm confused as to why people don't think there will be an actual physical album available? It may not be widely distributed for purchases but I would be really surprised if there won't be a hard copy available for order from Amazon or his website at the very least. Releasing an album free of a label usually means that there are more options for the release (ie. packages that include more than just a CD). You may not be able to run to a store to pick it up the day its released but I really think there will be something to hold. |
