Awful fan portraits of Stevie

A few months back, I started a thread with some nice portraits of Stevie from deviantart.com. However, I failed to follow it up with some bad portraits from that site. Now, some of you won't find these offensively bad, but while heroes may be hard to find, drawing Stevie's face accurately is even harder.

The author of this portrait titled it "Baaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh", which perhaps speaks of his originality as an artist. Here we see the amateur illustrator's long-running obsession with Stevie's eyes. They're not these huge giant-squid sized anime orbs, people.

What is it that we love about the famous "Blue Velvet" photo shoot? Is it Stevie's sausage-sized fingers, her chiseled Cruella De Vil jaw, or her terrifying Joan Crawford shock-white makeup?

This is the biggest version of this I could find. Here we see Stevie as a constipated homeless woman.

When threatened by gigantic roses, Stevie's left eye suddenly shifts position and grows to tremendous proportions.

A portrait of Stevie's retarded sister.

This portrait displays in graphic detail why every young man had a crush on Stevie back in the 70s: Her huge eyes, pig-like snout, decaying chiclet teeth, and pencil-thin eyelashes.

Stevie's cocaine problem wouldn't have been such a problem if her frontal sinus wasn't two inches wide and arched up to the top of her skull.

Just to be nice, a portrait that doesn't suck (in my opinion)

Oh the delicious cruelty of squashing so many dreams.

I gave this thread a five-star rating.
I love fan art. How some of it is just so bad, and how some of it looks okay but something has obviously gone just slightly wrong.

The roses and hands are good, but the face is too cartoonish IMO

Post more! :D

There's something about this one I like - if the artist had gone full blown cubist I think it would be great.

A shocking picture of Stevie if she'd never gone into rehab. No nose, no teeth, and no upper lip.

A rare take on the blue velvet shoot that actually has artistic merit.

You're no fan of fan art??? Carrie say it ain't so.
My friend and I want to open a fan art gallery, that's how much I love fan art. But the portraits in it will all have to have something slightly wrong about them. A bit like the picture above where Stevie has the drooping eye. I like it when it's recognisable as the person but just looks a bit weird.

yeah, that's what bugs me. i've never been big on fan art or fan fiction, it's just never done quite right. fan art usually looks like the subject is melting.
