Band Face Off - Round 5
 

Bono and the boys never had a chance it seems, although for a while it looked like Jagger/Richards could beat Lennon/McCartney. But in the end The Beatles' legacy won out yet again, with the band winning with a majestic 21 votes.

So for Round 5, and this time the guitars are louder and the hair is bigger.
Two of these bands probably worship the Lord Of Darkness, while the other, the Lord Of Hairpsray. But which do you prefer?

Bon Jovi - Cuter, better hair. Do love a few GnR songs.

I picked GNR-I just liked more of their music.

I chose GNR, again another childhood nostalgia thing, since my mother was a fan of theirs as well.

I hate Bon Jovi. That damn smile of his annoys the sh*t out of me.

As for Metallica... I will never, NEVER forgive them for butchering Bob Seger's "Turn the Page." ( :p Dissention) And the whole Napster fiasco didn't help matters any.

Went with GnR.....a sentitmental choice. Bon Jovi is good ear and eye candy. ;) Never cared for Metallica.

Call them corny, but they have great songs.

GnR: they have never been favourites but Metallica leave me cold and Bon Jovi cause me allergic reactions. I still have to understand if I like less their music or their videos. :shocked:

Guns and Roses. The others are ok, but was never big into either. I'm not all that into G&R either, but I was back in the day!

Metallica

Recently they've left me cold, but once upon a time they were my favorite band and totally kicked ass. I don't really give a flying f*** about Napster or that old, old, old "sellout" argument. Just for the sheer brilliance of Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets they top the other two. Although, I wouldn't mind seeing Guns n' Roses win this round. In fact the first concert I ever went to was Metallica/ Guns n' Roses. Good times.

Of course Bon Jovi wins the cute factor, but that doesn't count. :p

Sorry :laugh: I thought I'd do a slightly more metal themed face off, as per the request of Brian.

I certainly wouldn't mind more metal themed rounds. I know Brian and I are in the extreme minority though. :laugh:
