I've Been Mumpified!

Mumpified

Oh no....
Feelin' viral
This fever I just can't fight
You've got me mumpified

Oh no....
Pretty painful
These glands have doubled in size
You've got me mumpified

The puffy face that surrounds me
It looks like a pie
Is there some aspirin around here?
Tell me where your tablets lie

Oh no....
Pretty painful
These glands have doubled in size
You've got me mumpified

Sorry, to hear that Joe. I hope that you are feeling better soon.

Ive heard it seems to be rougher when you get that as an adult. I cant remember it being all that bad when I was a kid, but then, I cant hardly remember my kid days either

Thanks Pattie :)
Nah don't worry I'mtotally fine. Only problem is all the time off work now (I work at a junior high school so I have to stay away for a week). The boredom begins to set in. Hence my song spoof :sorry: (but there may be more ahead  )

I don't know what's more odd... that I never got it as a kid, or that I missed the vaccination. :o  Either way, it sure was a surprise to get it now.. but like you say, better younger than older.

I actually like my puffed-up face... It usually looks too narrow. Not sure how to go about keeping it like this permanently though. :p

Mumpified, hehe. I do believe those were the original lyrics too.
Hope you really better soon Joe :)

Mumps for real? What happened with your MMR vaccine?

Awww...

Take care of yourself, Joe!! Feel better soon!!

Well, at least you seem to be in good spirits. Take care. :wavey:

That's what I was wondering. Maybe Japanese mumps are different than American mumps. :p

Seriously - who the hell gets the mumps these days? Weirdo. ;)

Mumps?? Oh no. I thought it did not happen anymore in our civilized world.

It's embarassing..

They had an MMR vaccination in Junior High for anyone who wanted it, but I forgot about it and didn't have the signed permission slip from my mum. :o

Eeek. Well maybe you can get one. You don't want measels or rubella, and it's bad enough you've got mumps. Hope you're under good care now.

Aw, feel better soon, Joe!

That totally sucks. Take care of yourself!!!

Ouch. Hope you are feeling okay. Get well soon! :wavey:
