Chris playing the guitar
I was going through my stuff & I didn't know that I still had this. It's a video clip from one of the Tusk rehearsals. The song is "The Ledge" & Chris is playing the guitar!

Now all we need is a video of Chris playing bass in the old days!
So are we safe in assuming that the only song Chris played guitar on during the actual 1979-80 tour was "Save Me a Place"? I suppose it's possible that: A) Chris played guitar on "That's Enough for Me" in Europe, or B) The band played "The Ledge" at some shows on the Tusk Tour (in which case Chris presumably would have played guitar). Chris is definitely not playing guitar on some other 1979 rehearsal things, like "Honey Hi" & "Brown Eyes." You can hear the CP30 being played all the way through those things. Also, she's playing the B3 on "I Know I'm Not Wrong." However, I think she did play guitar on "That's All for Everyone" at the rehearsals. |

And, here's another picture of Chris playing the guitar. Personally, I prefer the more casual Christine in jeans during those rehearsals. And, she plays guitar right handed. I thought she was a southpaw.

But anyone who shakes maracas left-handed is primarily a lefty. I guess Christine is ambidaxtiferouciferous. |

It's possible that she learned how to play guitar right-handed even though she's a lefty. Someone might have told her that playing right handed was "the proper way"

Many moons ago in England left handed kids were made to write right handed! Gail |

the magic of a zoom lens! Imagine having a 2-disc CD of the bowl shows with liner notes by ken tucker or steve pond & that big color photo on the cover, along with nice verdana lettering that says: The Mighty Mac at the Bowl Los Angeles CA 8.31.80 & 9.01.80 & the bowl logo with palm trees underneath!!! |
I haven't had a chance to check out the Seven Wonders board today. Marcella has posted some fantastic pictures there WITHOUT those annoying watermarks & in high resolution. I have all of the pictures that she's posted, but hers are so much better. I have no idea how she's been able to get rid of those Corbis watermarks & get them in high resolution.

That said, I can do just about everything extremely well w/ my right hand except write (although I can write on a chalkboard w/ my right hand quite nicely, just not on paper.) We lefties learn to cope in a right handed world. :wavey: BTW, FWIW, I also play guitar right handed-- 'the normal way'. Do people actually learn to play it another way if they are left handed?! What was the deal w/ Jimi Hendrex and Paul McCartney, were they lefties? -Lis |
