and I hope to get to see her if we do London on the next tour
Well there are several threads about a possible next tour and... here's another one!!! :laugh:
Have you read John's latest answers??? about Christine: She sounded very well and I hope to get to see her if we do London on the next tour so that's a reliable source, and then there's a great possibility. |
Obviously she'll be there. Why wouldn't she be? These people are her friends! It would make sense she'd go to see them. She wouldn't play,though if thats what you're getting at.
Ooooh you're confirming the tour. Ya. Its pretty well known they'll be touring next year. |
yes, it would be nice to know, they might meet up again, in this part of the world, should they tour.
I'm not sure I'd actually go, because of the price.I do have a hard time justifying spending that much (last year it was £87 at Earls court) when you think other artists are not as expensive and are in a way different league. Your Knophlers,Claptons and Gilmours are cheaper (MFM help me out here please!).Surley if the Mac reduced their price, got more bums on seats, then they'd make more money anyway. I dunno, I'll have to think about it, if they come over again. Anyone else have any thoughts? |

I guess a "band" of high profile musicians costs more than seeing a single star backed by pro musicians. When you consider some groups such as Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and the Rolling Stones have multiple stars and prima donnas with their various demands and entourages it will push the cost up. The Stones have a reason. The show is massive, the set is massive, the venues are huge and require a lot of security and stuff but Mac and the Eagles I think are just greedy, they are arena bands these days, pension collectors not stadium rockers. |
Hee..thanks for the info MFM :thumbsup: Good grief, did I say "last year" for the Earls court FM concert..silly me! Was it really 3 years ago?!!

WOW MFM...all those shows, at all those great venues. Awesome. VERY jealous here! The last band I saw was "X," and then I had hoped to see Sinead O'Connor (I know....her values might be whack, but that voice....amazing) but that's about it for anythig desireable in the states that's not at an arena. Well in my area I should say.
As for the reunion, I have thought since SYW, when they were just wrapping things up, and already reporters were asking about the next venture. I say Chris will be there hands down! I'd like to say it's cause they are her friends, and how could she resist???? But I think the real answer is, "cast a reunion tour...again...maybe even make it an anniversary...and charge a mint." lol. As much as I agree, I am sure I'll be broke again mid 2007 having gone to quite a few. Is there an icon for slamming ones head against a wall??? heeheee |

In 2007 it'll be 10 years (give or take) since she last performed on stage. I honestly dont think she could face it now. I do hope I'm wrong. I'm sure she'll see them like in 2003 but on stage I doubt it (sigh) Gail |

I think her voice would hold up-- but maybe not her legs LOL as she'd probably just be so nervous. -Lis |

I guess its my location as well as keeping an eye on whos playing and having luck with tickets too. London and Manchester tend to attract a lot of top performers so theres always something going on. I forgot to mention the two multiple artist shows I've seen recently. First off I was fortunate enough to have been at Live 8 to see a great show and to see Pink Floyd perform of course! The other gig was the Fender "Strat Pack" 50th Anniversary concert including performances by The Crickets, Brian May, Hank Marvin, Joe Walsh, Paul Rodgers, Gary Moore, Ronnie Wood and of course David Gilmour. Both those gigs I was fortunate enough to be at the front for too. I've actually had a lot of good luck really. I never went to gigs for years so I'm making up for it now while these guys are still performing. |
Mfm=2 Gs=0
WOW. OK, 0 points for GS cause I've never been to your site! Sorry. Very nice though. Great pics. DBL cool points for MFM cause: Concert goer...I bow down. lol
Yea, I am a late bloomer for shows as well. I've had my share of some great concerts though, so I am not too sad. Just so many more I wanna see. For Fm 2003/2004, I can't even tell you how many shows I went to. No DavidMN, but a lot. Then I saw all 4 nights of Vegas, Stevie. Then Denver, SoCal, NoCal, and Reno. The only time I ponder my Stevie concert going is when I see other artists in town. I think, gee dumbass Anita...if you hadn't gone to all these FM/SN shows, maybe you could see some other cats. Ah well. :] I see all my favs numerous times (I also follow 2 other bands around) and have met many of my fav folk so it sorta compensates. But indeed, you get great acts there, and almost all the acts I wanna see are from your neck of the woods, so you have it good. I loathe most US bands. |

There were a couple of other good ones I sent Jessica from Earls Court but I think they missed the deadline. Either that or I mentioned I'd let them be used first for Rick Turner to promote his instruments in the UK. So here they are.. :) http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y10...ormac/wqre.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y100/madformac/lb2.jpg |
