Stevie's Future Plans

What do you think Stevie has planned after her Australian Tour??????

diamondsnake 11-21-2005 04:50 PM

A new album hopefully!

dissention 11-21-2005 04:52 PM

Other than one final Mac tour, absolutely nothing. Maybe a few shows in Vegas here and there, but it won't be a static thing.

DWIG 11-21-2005 05:00 PM

Stevie's voice is in the best condition it had been for many years, so she should get something out as soon as poss

cover version album, best of re rerecorded, whatever

as long as it involves THE MOST AMAZING voice

she does seem to be on a roll latley, I think she knows shes still good right now, and will keep milking it as long as she can (which is good for us:laugh: ) I just hope that Her seemingly new burst of energy is not interupted by......... YET ANNOTHER TOUR TO CELEBRATE RUMORS! and that if Fleetwood mac does get back together that it will at least be something new.

I still find it odd that right after the final SYW tour shows She responded to a question on the Nickfix that she was 'already writing songs for a new album ' and less than a year later said in an interview "I 'm always writing I could start a new album tomorrow but why bother when it won't get played on the radio".Then just recently she said she had written nothing for 18 months? The fact that she hasn't gotten top 40 airplay for a new song in 16 years didn't occur to her until just this past year? Her quotes just don't really add up but then that isn't really anything new I guess.

Her quotes about a future solo album were also directed at WB. . Both Stevie and Lori have said there are no plans for one. I think this is the closest thing to the truth we have gotten. It is also the most recent thing that has been said about a solo album. She toured this summer for some reason and I dont think it was just money....she toured without a new album and probably fulfilled a touring committment that way. (more proof she wants out. she did not wait until her next solo album to tour, she toured to get the "touring solo" part of her deal over with...IMHO)
Of course others will have differing views because of the image Stevie presents...Stevie is excellent at saying only what she wants you to know, truth or not.

Like Diss said, OZ, final Mac tour, retire. Her voice may be great but her heart is elsewhere.

I hope so too. She still has a lot to tell, but has to find the person capable of giving her the courage
to risk, IMO.

I think Stevie has to do a three night finale for her retirement at the colosseum at caesars palace. with a setlist like:
Gold Dust Woman
Outside The rain
Dreams
Stop Draggin' My heart Around
Rhiannon
Sorcerer
Angel
I Can't Wait
After the glitter fades
Gold and Braid
Sara
Rooms On Fire
Gypsy
Blue lamp
Leather and lace
Stand Back
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You
Planets of the universe
If Anyone Falls
Whole Lotta Trouble
Talk To Me
Landslide
How Still Me Love
Edge of Seventeen
Satisfaction( Stones Cover )
Beauty and the Beast

Maygirl, you might want to poke around some of the older threads on The Ledge. A lot of the topics you've been posting about have just been discussed within the past few weeks.

Here's one from just a week or two ago that's all about what everyone thinks Stevie might do after her Australian tour: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=23893

Welcome to the Ledge!

Whatever it is, it's apparent that she's in it for the long haul. She's touring, plannning on releasing a dvd of her stellar solo GOld Dust Tour with the MSO, doing guest appearances on network tv, and charity work. Whilst the other FM "douchebags" are retiring, selling wine?, raising families, and sailing on their yachts! :p Who loves ya baby!? WE DO! :D

Going home, grounding poor Jessie for three weeks, heading over to Caesar's Palace to try to negotiate more shows, dumping the current Mr. Whimpy for being such a pain in the ass about her touring, and then heading back out on tour. . . .

I haven't read this whole thread, but i got up to this and had to comment1

I agree, she really really seems to just not be interested, her heart isn't there and to me it is paramount in the shows, i listen to shows from her career, even in paris 89, and the dance in 97, and to me it is abundently clear that their is no passion, drive or excitement from her whatsoever anymore. PLease dont be insulted guys by my comments. I believe it to be this way. There are times when i listen to her music and watch her shows and with my knowledge of her i can just tell based on her past and her comments that she just aint into it... :distress: Does anyone else see this and hear this too?

Simple example: how come the SYW tours (especially)and gold dust tour etc the concerts were the same every night?? They used to alwaysbe sung a little differently.. she would actually engage with the audience with genuine interest. Yes i know there are times when she has on these tours also, but im talking about more than one song here, two comments there... just so rare because the passion has faded.. When i saw the SYW tour (3 to be exact) i was a little heartbroken too see her the way i did, and when your right up the front and on cue she does the exact same moves and takes a deep orchestrated breath before she swings to face lindsey it hurt me the more.

OH dear... im going to get hung for this aren't i.....

You are obviously a true fan and have every right to express your opinion and no one here should hang you for it.IMO the last tour that everything did not seem rote or choreographed to the last movement was the Street Angel tour.
