Edy's Slow Churned Light Ice Cream = Heaven

I have found heaven and it comes in a 1/2 gallon container. This ice cream is so good, it really does have the texture of the full fat stuff. It is really really really good. Problem is, its so good that you eat twice as much thus defeating the half the fat benefit.

Yes it is! What's your favorite flavor? I've tried the neopolitan, Strawberry, choc/vanilla, cookies and cream and I think it's fudge tracks. I didn't like fudge tracks very much, but the rest were great. If only they (or anyone for that matter) would make a plain bananna ice cream, I'd be in heaven!

I've tried French Silk, that one is a unique flavor and very delicious, cookie dough and chocolate chip. The cookie dough was the best of that flavor I've ever had. The choc chip is what I got tonite and it is really effin good.

Do you like Chunky Monkey? I love that stuff, but you just want plain banana, no chunks? It would be good but personally I would miss the chocolate.

 You know when a sundae is also good? After you've played hookie from work to do Christmas shopping with a friend you top it off with a sundae for dinner. Mmmmmm...

Never heard of Cold Stone.

That place is just sinful. A new Cold Stone just opened by my house and I have to avoid even driving by it.

Oh, I forgot about the cookie dough! Yeah, I just like plain bananna, but I haven't found it anywhere except at ice cream parlors now and then. I just want to be able to go into the groccery store and buy a half gallon of it, but I don't think any ice cream companies make it. I have an ice cream maker, and I do it myself sometimes, but my freezer is usually too full to keep the tank for the ice cream maker in there, so I hardly ever make my own.

One of my favorite's is Baskin Robbins' German Chocolate Cake. Two scoops of that in a cup and I'm happy. I also like their strawberry ice cream. What flavor(s) do you like?

paleshadow-Maybe you could add banana flavoring to plain vanilla ice cream and mix it in real well. Don't know if that would work or not.

Chocolate Mint is my all time fav. I also love their Orange Sherbert. I am not a huge coconut fan, so GCC is not on my usual list.

My fav. is a Brownie Cake Delight with Chocolate Mint - or a Chocolate Mint milkshake - YUM!

LOL - it was a nod and a wink to Ken as I bought all of us August Vegas Ledgies each a sundae from room service the last night in Vegas

I don't have ice cream that often, but when I do, I go for the real stuff. Ben and Jerry's to be exact. My favorite is "From Russia With Buzz." I can easily polish off a pint of that easily. And I just love the causes they choose to donate money to.

I can't believe I forgot about Chocolate Mint! So good! Another thing I like is to have a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of orange sherbet in the same bowl-it's like having a Dreamsicle.

I really miss Blue Moon. It tasted like fruit loops. :]

AHHHH...Cold Stone Creamery. Heaven. There, you get to pick and choose what you want in your ice cream. So, if you want cherries and chocolate, they scoop out some ice cream, put it on a "cold stone" , scoop cherries and chocolate on top of it, and mix it all together right there in front of you. OMG! Heaven in a bowl. I have one way too close for comfort to me.

Oh yeah the opened a Cold Stone here in RI and I went a few weeks ago. Can't say that I was too impressed. I threw it out to be honest. It got Boston Crean Pie which was nice for only about 4 bites and then it got rather sickening. I did not like the chocolate brownie either.

I prefer Ben and Jerry's Phish Food and Chocolate Fudge Brownie. I don't like a lot of garbage in my ice cream but I do like these. Baskin Robbins used to have a Dunkin Donuts Coffee flavored ice cream that I liked but you can only get it in a pint now and I don't like it that much.
I like sundaes from Friendly's and Newport Creamery. Hot Fudge and chocolate all the way!

Currently, I'm all about Blue Bell's Key Lime Pie. It's exactly like chopped up, frozen pie. Graham cracker chunks, whipped cream swirl, very strong lime flavor. It's deelish!

I also like Healthy Choice's caramel swirl, brownie chunk, whatever it's called. Yum.
