I had lunch with Tori Spelling... well, sorta

When I was in Montreal last weekend, my friend and I sat down at an Italian bistro to have some lunch and noticed Tori Spelling was totally sitting across from us. It was totally embarrassing 'cause we kept looking over at her. Lucky for us, she was doing the standard celebrity "make no eye contact with anyone" thing. So, she didn't notice.

My friend was super funny though. She kept saying "I want to go over there and say 'Donna! You waited SEVEN years to screw that guy? What's wrong with you?'" I never got into 90210. So, I don't really know what she was talking about. Very funny material though!

Anyone else been in a restaurant with a celeb or have any celeb stories to share? GIVE 'EM UP!!!

dissention 08-25-2005 04:00 PM

That chick tapes up her breasts so high that she can suck her own nipples with no hands. Love her!

amber 08-25-2005 04:04 PM

That's weird. I hope next time you see a better celebrity. :D
Tori Spelling = barfbag.

Are her eyes really on the sides of her head?

Surprisingly, she looked less like a salamander than I thought. She was actually quite attractive. Weird, eh? She had some seriously puffed up lips, but she didn't look as bad as MEG RYAN! (ZIIIIING Amber! ZIIIING!!!)

I was thinking dumb c*nt! But, it was still oddly cool in spite of the fact that she is clearly lame. She pulled out a little envelope with a lot of $50 Canadian bills. Daddy's money? 90210 royalties? Well dressed too. She was with a couple of handsome devils and one very, very unattractive dog! Totally gross looking.

Dammit! I didn't notice! It would make for a better flying experience to have a nice soft chin rest though, wouldn't it! Hmmm.... maybe I should get some tits!

Well, this may or may not be better than Tori Spelling, but my mom wound up in a restaurant with Lou Rawls once. She really didn't know what to say. He was eating shrimp by himself and she just stopped and stared for a minute. Finally, he said, "Yeah, it's me." Then she just smiled and greeted him. So, not too exciting.

Lou Rawls is totally cooler than Tori Spelling! I've always liked him. Remember he did music for the Garfield specials. And the fact that he looked up and said "Yeah, it's me!" is totally funny to me!

Couple of years ago the day after my daughter got married,we were having brunch at the Ritz and my other daughter got this shocked look on her face and got up from the table and went over to the table next to ours.It was Stephen King sitting there with his agent.(daughter is a big fan of his)..She just went to say hello , and tell him she loved his work..and was going to leave..He stopped her and started talking to her about his books compared to his movies and asking her opionions on his latest book etc.The next thing you know he is getting his picture taken with my daughter and then she asked if it was ok if he would take a pic with my other daughter and new son inlaw. He was very kind and posed with them all and gave them autographs. I have copies of the pixs somewhere on here.He is very tall and I thought kinda scarey looking..very pale....

Crap! I can't remember what it as called. It was off St. Laurent where the Hugo Boss store is. Can't remember the name of the street right now or the name of the restaurant. It's a very "Montreal" looking street with quite a few patios. Right across from a restaurant called Thursdays... or was it Tuesdays? Jeez! Yeah, I'm on top of things! BIG TIME!

Hey so Cat, how was living in Montreal? Pros? Cons?

Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean the people on 90210...some of them have done pretty well.

I mean the folks on the Surreal Life Show...haha....most of those folks were NEVER even famous!

but the 90210 folks have been hit and miss...some of them have done pretty well...some have not!

I don't think she has much choice in the matter, they're like three miles apart! Looks like the grand canyon between there! LOL!

I was discussing this with some friends a while back. Seriously though, if you ever ran into a celebrity you hated and there was no way around talking to them, would you tell them they suck or just enjoy the whole "Eh, what the hell, you're a celebrity" moment? I'd probably do the celebrity moment thing, unless it was that flippin lady from the Taco Bell commercial (the dudes are being annoying to her so she sings "stop doing that") I would definitly tell her she sucks, like "Mary Hart seizure enducing" sucks.

I was in a restaurant once and Kirk Hammett came in with a friend. I went over to them and talked with Kirk for a few minutes just saying how much I loved Metallica's music and Kirk's playing. He was very friendly and didn't seem to mind me bothering them at all.

I was in a restaurant in Kansas City when Jennifer Jason-Leigh was there fliming a Robert Altman film called 'Kansas City' She was sitting at the table next to mine .I recoginized her voice and looked at her and she looked back, I think surprised that someone would recognize her.I tried to tell the staff at the restaurant who she was and none of them had apparently ever heard of her.I said the crazy one from "Single White Female' and then they registered a dull 'ok' as a response but I guess I should not have been surprised it was after all Kansas City.Anyway I left the restaurant very excited I had seen someone that I was actually a fan of when all the celebritys I had ever seen in my years of living in California while out and about had been talentless duds.

Not a good pic of Stevie. Looks like too much Klonipin or wine or both perhaps? Anyway I would never approach a celebrity in a restaraunt and ask to take their picture. I live in Los Angeles and see celebs all time. When they are out to eat the last thing they want to do is be approached by fans for pics and autographs. Given some are more gracious than others but still...

There have been so many for me but one that stands out is OJ Simpson. I was having Sunday brunch at a well know place called Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles and there was OJ with his whole family sitting directly across from me. All I could think of was "Wow, I'm eating across from a killer" lol. The thing is people were going up to him the entire time and asking for autographs and pictures and although he was very gracious it was obvious to me he just wanted to spend quality time with his family without being approached by fans. People should have more respect.

Do you guys remember The Moffatts? Well, one of them totally works at the Earl's in my neighborhood! The gay Moffatt! And he totally brought me my salad one night. It was quite a funny moment for all of us.

I see the oldest Moffatt (Scott) around town all the time too.

I think I saw something about them on a bubble gum pop show on VH1, was it like a family pop group, like the Cowsills?

wasn't there another really grating Canadian 'country' band called The Wilkinsons with a dad and the son and daughter? AS I recall they were almost as obnoxious as Billy Gillman.

I have the feeling that Metallica rarely considers a pretty girl talking to them as "bothering them"
