So what songs do it for you?
In the spirit of the perv thread...what songs put you in the mood?
"Tango in the Night" -- FM "Glory Box" -- Portishead "Wicked Game" -- Chris Isaak "Fields of Gold" -- Sting Anything by Sade |
Portishead. - oops, you said glory box! well, i like a number of others as well.
P.J. Harvey, that fish song. and others. Tricky - various songs Erika Badu, certain ones Rhiannon :p but for sexy, sexy, portishead really wins... :D |
"Crash Into Me" - Dave Matthews Band
"Sable On Blond" & "Sleeping Angel" - Stevie Nicks "Ain't Even Done With The Night" - John Mellencamp "I'm On Fire" - Bruce Springsteen "Your Body Is A Wonderland" - John Mayer "So Far Away" - Dire Straits "Wicked Game" - Chris Isaak And... I'm almost ashamed to admit this... but there's an entire Backstreet Boys album that can "put me in the mood," because my first boyfriend LOVED the Backstreet Boys, and we were listening to 'Millennium' the first time we kissed (my first male/male kiss, by the way -- yes, at 28 years old), and many times when we were together after that. :o |
To name a few...
"More Than This" Norah Jones "Sister Honey" "Candlebright" (for some reason the way Stevie says "still I love you at the end drives me mad) "More Than a Woman" Aaliyah "Slide" Ani DiFranco "Hella Good" No Doubt |

"China Roses" by Enya is another one. |
"Wicked Game"
"Rock a Little (Go Ahead Lily) probably in that order "NGBA"-my fave FM song Oh yeah and "It's Raining Men"- jk! |

He wasn't a bad guy, in my opinion, though my friends all referred to him as "The Asshole." But that moniker was born out of his tendency to put me pretty low on his priority list... so of course my friends were displeased and felt I could do better. Still, I had some really nice times with him... in the relatively brief time we dated! |
Led Zeppelin - "Dyer Maker", "Since I've Been Loving You"
Fleetwood Mac - "Crystal" U2 - "In a Little While" Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - "Like a Diamond" George Harrison - "Let it Down" Paul McCartney - "Arrow Through Me" (.. ohh yeah.) Dire Straits - "Romeo and Juliet" Rolling Stones - "Thru and Thru" |
There are a few really sad songs that get me going out of nostalgia, because I find them unspeakably romantic and they make me reminisce, which is probably weird. "Here Comes the Flood" is the main one. That's so weird. And "Thirteen" by Big Star. It makes me think of making out with the best maker-outer ever in the high school darkroom. Elliott Smith's either/or, Morrissey's Vauxhall and I, and Jeff Buckley's Grace for the same reason.
Probably way too much info. |
D'yer M'aker is a good one! I have Sarah McLachlan doing a short snippet of it, and it sounds way sexier with her voice. The audio is pretty bad, but I can only imagine her singing the whole thing.
I have to add "Adia" to my list, among ten other Sarah songs |

And what were you doing watching 'Nine 1/2 Weeks,' hmm? ;) |

I love "Brown Eyes"
and "If Anyone Falls" is a very sexy song. Along with "Talk To Me" |

I find most of Lindsey's songs very sexy.
I have seen that some people don't like these songs, but I think they are creative as hell..."Walk A Thin Line"-everything LB from Tusk is. And when I saw "Come" live, WOW....I was feelin' it. |

'Nine & 1/2 Weeks' was this odddd movie with Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke (but then, aren't ALL of his movies odd?). Joe Cocker sang "You Can Leave Your Hat On" in what was actually one of the sexiest scenes in the movie, IMO. So I thought maybe that's how you heard it. :) |

None...
though I do laugh when I read about how the sexual sound effects during the Guns N Roses classic "Rocket Queen" were recorded in the studio (Live Not Memorex)!!!
Brian "Yep, An ice storm is a brewin' outside" j. |

"Thousand Miles" - Vanessa Carlton (this came out right when my ex and I started going out and everywhere I went with him, there it was)
"You Are So Beautiful" - Joe Cocker (so simple, so perfect... the ex's mom had this gorgeous baby grand in the living room and I always dreamed of playing it on that) "Addicted to Love" - Robert Palmer "When I Fall In Love" - no idea, I've got the sheet music around here somewhere "My All" - Mariah Carey I totally agree on "Wicked Game" - gives me chills "Mystified" - FM "Brown Eyes" "You Make Lovin Fun" "Hold Me" |
Hmmm....
Berlin - Sex (I'm A...) Franz Ferdinand - Michael I'll think of more. |

Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' - Journey (laugh all you want, that bass line is sexy!) Take It To the Limit - Eagles (no idea why) Wicked Game - Chris Isaak (the video totally adds to the sexiness of the song) Please Come Home for Christmas - Bon Jovi (mostly due to the video. I don't care if Cindi Crawford is straight, gay, bi, whatever. Her & JBJ making out was smokin') That bluesy song "I don't like you, but I love you, seems that I'm always, thinkin' of you..." What's the name of it? Can't remember who sings it either. Can anyone help a girl out? |

Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield
Something in the Way She Moves - The Beatles Come - Fleetwood Mac  |
On a serious note, I think Bon Jovi's Bed of Roses is a perfect song....as is Always. They have great love songs.

I agree with you. Add "I'll Be There For You" too. BTW - I love Bed of Roses, except for that atrocious "holy ghost" line - ugh. |
