Oakland pre-sale does not work!!!

When I entered my fan club password, it linked me to a page that listed only boxing and comedy shows. Then, when you click on the left side for "July 2003," they are not even listed!!

When I called the fan club hotline #, I got a recorded message saying "that mail box is full."

And why am I not surprised by this??? I think I'll go over to Mick's board and flame the sh*t out of the Knight and BEG him to ban me!!!

There's someone posting over there that he got front row tickets a SECOND time. What are the statistics on such luck? Maybe you need to contact HIM and find out the "strategy."

I am very sorry to hear that you were shut out again. I remember reading a post that you worked for The Nicks Fix. I also see they are posting some of the fan club emails there. Maybe they can help you look into some of the happenings in SOME way-if only to let them know there is definitely trouble in shangri-la.

I think they are finally wearing fans down by deleting their posts. Well, if you're UN-happy, you can still post about it here. HAPPY POSTS only on Micks board. :rolleyes:

I had the very same experience with tickets.com for every presale they have held so far. I never figured out why and they certainly weren't any help. I told them I suspected soemone was using my password to buy up tickets. They didn't even care, say they were sorry or anything. Their response was a lame, it was busy and things like that happen answer.

I have to believe SOME improvements have been made since the first fiasco. Someone posted that the seats offered the first time around were the WORST of the best seats, a top down sale to get rid of the hardest to sell seats. (check the Knightly News section, if it's not been deleted, "notes" or something from the first sale.) Maybe the "club" tickets quality have changed. (two in the first row, 4 in the 10th, etc) Nonetheless, there were many unfair things that happened at that time, and nothing has been settled. Of course most of the posts that spoke up were deleted.

Livia, I got your PM. Sent at least one back! :laugh: I'm trying to hone down on the PM-ing skills.

I wasn't aware that posting here and posting over on Mick's board were mutually exclusive. There are alot of bad feelings over here about Mick's board and I just don't get it. Is it because this board wasn't chosen to be the "official" site? I'm not being sarcastic, I really do want to know where this animosity sprung from. It just seems that so many of the posts here (and on Mick's board) are written with such large chips on their e-shoulders.

I make no attempt to apologize for the Fan Club. Some people feel cheated and I guess that's always going to happen in such a situation. However, so far, it seems to me like this second pre-sale is going much better than the previous one.

Judging by the massive delete campaign that is going on over there now, who knows how the presale is really going?

How am I a liar? The only shows I am definitely going to at this point are DC and Dallas. I also plan to attend the other Texas shows once they are announced. Therefore, as of THIS moment, I have "no intention" of going to any other shows. HOWEVER, it is my RIGHT as a consumer and a fan club member to check out the pre-sales for ALL the cities. Consequently, if I happen to get a great seat in the first 5 rows somewhere, I may just add that city to my itinerary.

I was po'd that I got a "this mail box is full" message when I called the hotline today - mere seconds after the Oakland presale would not work for me. Obviously, the "limited staff" was not even available to take take calls on "pre-sale day." Tickets.com has still not been able to give me an explanation as to why it didn't work. I've been going back and forth with them all day.

And another regarding the first presale:

"We know some Members weren't able to get the seats they wanted at the first presale. We believe we'll have a great second presale next week. We've heard loud and clear from Members who didn't get what they wanted and we're
working on what we can do or offer you to make you happy."

These two statements have proven to be inaccurate and/or misleading. As I said in one of my posts on Mick's board, I have been to COUNTLESS concerts in my lifetime and I have NEVER heard of ANYTHING like THIS happening to me or anyone I know. It's completely unacceptable!!!!!

You'd have to have the GUIDE BOOK TO BANNING AND CENSORSHIP by Jonathan Todd to understand the finer points of how his half baked system works on that board. You were obviously stripped of your stars but not banned. As you can see, not only did he call me a scalper, but he suggested that 2 days before the presale I was trying to discourage NEW people from joining the fanclub so I could get better seats.
Since I didn't get any seats in 3 presales, we see what a good scalper I am and how well I did discouraging other people from joining the club.

The "banned" error message has been received by people from time to time on Mick's site. Even by the so-called ass kissers. There's a bug in the software somewhere. Try emptying your temporary internet files and trying again.

Of course, you could also genuinely be banned, in which case I'm not sure what all the fuss is about since that was, indeed, your goal.

I just find this whole "us" versus "them" thing so childish. I'm sorry you all feel so betrayed, but I've read alot of posts by people who are happy with the fan club and/or the seats they got through it. I'm one of them. I suppose there are people who would balk at 19th row because they want to be closer, but I'm thrilled.

So many of the threads here are filled with such bitterness and spite. Maybe, at the shows, the "Mick's Board" people should wear red and the "Ledge" people should wear blue and we'll all rumble at the concession stand during Mick's unending drum solo.

It's been the same thing over at Mick's BB since it opened. The Knight and his followers have been making snide comments about the other fan sites since that BB began.

Those "other boards" & "other sites" are only of use to them when they want to enjoy and USE the benefits that the fan sites offer, because there is NO content over at the official site.

Whether it's Knight using Sara's sound clip (WITHOUT PERMISSION and WITHOUT even ASKING) to try sell his overpriced cd, or the more recent postings about how the content over at the Penguin is pretty good but that message board is full of people who are bad and envious of the official site and Mick's BB.

Those people can visit and link and USE the fan sites whenever they like, but in the next breath they make snide comments because they THINK they're better.

Their constant BS of whose a fan and whose not is because they don't know what the word fan means.


As for the intelligent discussions, maybe DOC thinks they've all been deleted over at Mick's BB, just like all the other posts over there. Doc has been coming to the LEDGE for intelligent discussions for a long time, along with the rest of the police sqaud of "fireflys" over at that board. The censorship is not only done by the Knight and his crew. The members there come out and attack like a group of rabid dogs when someone posts something they don't like or something that has (HEAVEN FORBID), been discussed before. When they've succeeded in driving everyone different away from that message board, they'll all have fun talking to mirror images of themselves. Yeah, that has always been known to be a source of intelligent conversation.

I heard a rumour about this. I must have missed that part of the original plan, care to share Doc's involvement in that scheme to fleece the fans?

He's still trying to sell that over on MBB. Just one problem, they're down to a group of about 2 dozen people so I don't think they've got that big an audience for it. I also don't think that group are likely to splurge for it. I "would" like one of them to buy a ticket to a $1100-1300 Meet & Greet and have Mindy and Brett show up for 10 minutes while they hear and see Lindsey and Stevie attending another Meet & Greet across the hall. I'm guessing that there's quite a few fans (like me) that didn't join the fan club, didn't join Mick's board, and have been suspect of the intent of that board and, indeed, the entire website all along. Doctor Brown's appearance on this board has pretty much solidified my views.

As for Fleetwood Mac themselves, I hold them responsible for all this as well. All this is being done in their names and if they can't be bothered to monitor how their name is being represented, then they deserve nothing IMHO. I have been a fan since 1982.

I will not be going to any concerts.
