Lindsey's "Say Goodbye" dedication and Stevie's reaction to it, were both beautiful and heart-wrenching. I love the fact that, 28 years after I became a fan, this band can still drag me through the emotional ringer.

I have watched the Say Goodbye clip so many times today because I cannot get it off my mind and I agree with you that it is beautiful yet at the same time it is breaking my heart to see Stevie cry.

What I do think is particularly sweet about it all is that this time it is Lindsey who's dedicating a song to Stevie, its him saying "I love you Stevie" during the WY intro and it is him initiating the hug after singing WY. It is like he's really reaching out his hand to her, telling her, in his way, how much she mean to him and how much he wants them to be very good friends.

I love it when he says:" She's mad now because I'm making it difficult for her to do the song. It's ok...just do the best you can". It's the soft and loving way he says it...

Or it is just my sentimental heart speaking after a beautiful dedication and emotional song.....

Thanks for all the vidoes.

And just to say.... I cried all the way through the Say Goodbye Video too. But to see her come through all the tears, and emerge so beautiful and radiant at the end - and give the most beautiful speech.... well...what a women...

No your right. It's very sweet the way Stevie and Lindsey wereare interacting now. I think most fleetwood mac fans (old and new) are touched by the way the two of them are now acting towards each other. Especially if you think about their past history and how painful it's been for both of them.

I think Lindsey has been extending a hand to Stevie every since she finally broke down and spent 90 minutes giving him her laundry list of everything he's ever done (since they first met) that really pis**d her off. Once Lindsey realize what he was doing wrong he's tried to fix it...he said when he first went into rehearsals for the 2013 tour he made a decision to make effort to make Stevies "process" a little bit easier and said that he found out that it wasn't very hard for him to give a little more and make Stevie happy.

It's up there. I still think the most intense song I've ever seen live was Richard & Linda Thompson doing "Dimming Of The Day" from their Tour from Hell. Not a lot of theatrics. Just raw emotion.

Thank you so much. I wept too. And so did my wife. Me twice, first alone, then together. Impressive, how there's so much honesty and reality in the roles they say they play.

I was thinking that Stevie could have been even more emotional during this song because I believe her mom passed away Dec.28th a couple of years back and just the words"once you said goodbye to me and now I say goodbye to you" would drive you to uncontrolled emotion when you miss someone so much.Plus there's the Lindsay and final show factors-no wonder she was a wreck. We're all wrecks just seeing it!!!

That makes a lot of sense! During the show in Stockholm Lindsey also dedicated SG to Stevie and she was very emotional that night too, almost starting to cry. She even started out her speech afterwards with saying ; I can't believe I didn't burst into tears." Continuing saying; "But if you are a professional you don't".

So adding the factor of her mom's passing it makes a lot of sense being a wreck...

That is similar to my thoughts on her crying. Lindsey's words may have sparked off a whole load of emotion about a whole load of things - Lindsey, John being ill, her mum, life in general... I was just glad to see that she pulled herself together at the end, to make her speech. And the way she talked about it in her speech, it made me think that she felt ok about crying in front of everyone. :( Like she said sometimes it just happens.

I don't know about you all, but there is something very final about all of these videos and the raw emotions. Yes, the evening was special and full of high emotion, but it seemed like the last stop for this current lineup of Fleetwood Mac. When you think about it, they have been through so much within the past 12 years just the 4 of them without Christine. They have all gone through personal triumphs and devastation, and in way all of that is coming to a close as the old lineup resumes with Chris' return. This very well could be the last time these 4 will play as just the four of them.

yes. that was exactly the vibe i was getting during that whole show, mainly from Stevie. she was exuberant and celebratory throughout the show, exponentially more than at any other shows i've seen on this tour, and then completely crashed at the end. like it's the end of an era.

or maybe that's just how i wanted to interpret it because i'd like to see Christine back from now on.

i was sure they won't get out on the road the whole next year, and was completely shocked when Lindsey said they'll be back next summer, and then Stevie repeated it in the mic. i'm hoping the summer gigs will be to re-introduce Christine and show-off some new songs.

also, i really liked what Lindsey said in that BBC interview how the 4 have developed a certain chemistry over these years, but when Christine was back with them, even just socially, the chemistry of the 5 is just something completely different, like the missing piece of the puzzle is finally back.

Yes, I'm glad you see it too. And I trust Stevie and her emotions, she is an artist, she has deep feelings and connections, and she knows when something is happening. She can feel it in her bones.

or maybe that's just how i wanted to interpret it because i'd like to see Christine back from now on.

I had this same thought, but I think it's true. There has been a new awakening for this band, and I think we are all in for the new "era" of Fleetwood Mac, including the band.

I wonder if they are going to do a BN tour next summer? He did say they were doing something in the summer of 2014 to a fan in a video. Then l read this article where he had mentioned:

You can't follow this stuff because it's a moving target. It complicates a set of preconceptions you already have about Fleetwood Mac, which is really the message we're on now. But, okay, if it were just you and me I would say it doesn't matter it's the 40th anniversary.

Stevie, if you're serious about touring behind Buckingham Nicks, let's wait. I would have two scenarios. One would be to wait and put it out close to the end of the Fleetwood Mac tour. When the tour is done and go rehearse a proper show and do it. Another thing would be to go ahead and put out Buckingham Nicks as a sort of secondarily level of awareness around a Fleetwood Mac tour. It's a little off message, but that's fine. When the tour is done we can go into the studio and cut a new Buckingham Nicks album. That would be the most credible thing you can do. Then you'd have to enough material to do a whole show.

There's nothing expedient about any of this. It's a total commitment to the idea of the past and the present as regards Stevie and Lindsey. Again, if you contemplate doing shows as Buckingham-Nicks, there's only nine songs on that album. Even if you do the whole album, you don't have enough for a show and you're back to doing your other stuff. That isn't necessarily bad, but it isn't a huge statement. I don't know. There are a lot of questions surrounding how we'd do this. Stevie said to me, "We could do five shows." Five shows!

I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I was getting bumped around quite a bit in the beginning, but I was determined to get video of Lindsey playing this. Especially the last half, where he's noodling around over by Mick. I love watching him play that part, but he usually has his back to the audience at that point, so when he actually turned back towards the front, and really started jamming, I was in heaven!

I bet you were! I was mesmerised watching Mick and Lindsey together :) and it really helped me to appreciate how amazing the guitar part is. I usual watch GDW videos where Stevie is the focal point, so it was great to get a different perspective. I love it from where he goes over to Mick, right through to the end of the song. It's great when Stevie passes through, and then I love the end as the song slows and the lights dim..... As you can probably tell - I really like this video. So thanks

Because Stevie wasn't the only overly emotional one...

Here's another view of Say Goodbye, one which focuses more on Lindsey. Forgive the terrible audio quality at times - my friend who recorded it couldn't really make it sound any better and neither could I. Anyway, enjoy the visuals and the heaviness. And the better view of Lindsey being teary and the comforting embrace at the end... ;)

Pleasure. Not everyone on TL is on Tumblr and vice versa so I just posted it in both places. And Twitter. Because why not? :D

Anyway, agreed. It's why I was so thrilled. GREAT being able to see what she was responding to and how he's responding and acting, etc. Really, really touching that they were both pretty emotional and teary from the get-go.

And yes, Elle, that IS nice but I'm afraid the interaction with the audience at the end is fairly low on my list of favourite things about this footage... ;)

There is part of the Radio2 interview where Lindsey is talking about his split from Stevie...."it became clear to me, by the time we got up to Sausalito, that Stevie's and my relationship was over". When he says "over" his voice drops as if there is sadness there (but maybe it's just me imagining it) . This is the only point in the interview that I hear his voice do that. I'm always amazed that after all this time there is so much emotion between them. They are musical soul mates.

It's not your imagination. I've noticed this a lot- when he's talks about his split from her, the pain is fresh 30-35 years later. This in the studio interview is an example-interviewed in the 2007-2008 timeframe. The stammering and catches in his voice- he first speaks at 2:15 and then again at 11:15. But you know, that's the real thing.

I haven't heard this interview before, so thanks for posting it. I agree, you can hear strong emotion (sadness) in both of their voices. I'm sure they both still miss each other. I think they have really enjoyed the chance to spend time together on this tour. Maybe that's why they are so sad at the end of it.

wait, shouldn't they be spending even more time together now, working to finish that album? from what we know Stevie's songs are the only ones they haven't worked on yet so they better get on it.

get in that studio kids, we need you to finish that album ASAP!

(so that LB has some time to work on SM too this year)

Hi there, been busy posting stuff to FB and YouTube of video I took at the show, but wanted to post this here. I know it probably was posted already, but this performance is just too awesome not to view it again.

Wow, first time he's come right out and said "she was unfaithful and then came back"(he's alluded to it, especially when talking about the "shacking up line"). He reallllly details how the relationship unravelled but they still slept together. Reminds me of the interview where Stevie talked about the times she cheated and was forgiven in her relationships. Thanks for posting!!

They're going to move back to San Jose one day.

I kind of hope they don't!

I really don't need stalking charges filed against me! :p

Yeah, I think he would've pretty much put up with anything to hold on to her.. which is sad and ironic too, because that very desperation caused the jealousy/obsessiveness which she says caused her to leave.
He's mentioned the song "Anyone Who Had a Heart" written by Burt Bacharach twice.. and how the lyrics so match the music. I think he identifies with it.

I'm sorry fleetwoodmeg, no luck with this yet. She did quite a few radio interviews in the UK in September when they toured here. I'm thinking it was during one of those. I seem to remember hearing her say it, rather than me reading it. I've checked a couple of things and I can't find it.

Its possible I may come across it at some point, and I'll let you know if I do.

She said it with humour in her voice as if it wasn't a serious statement, but it was still interesting to hear, and its obviously stuck with me.

I just tried it and it works. It brings you to the folder where the files are.
Can you try again? Maybe Media Fire had some maintenance issues or something.

This should direct you to the same folder: See if this works. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/15yma21hv5chr/Fleetwood%20Mac%20-%20Las%20Vegas%20-%20Dec%2030%2C%202013

Don't know what to say, the link is valid and others on Facebook can get to it. Sorry guys. I don't know what else I can do.
Here is a link to GDW to see if that works.
http://www.mediafire.com/listen/od6axgazqssg78n/16%20Gold%20Dust%20Woman.mp3

Has anyone had any success in getting to the files?

If the link to GDW works, I can post individual links to each song. The link above was to a file folder that had all the songs in it.

Media Fire is picky about how you share links.

Try this one for all the songs.
This should work. Sorry it took me so long to figure out what was going on. I guess there are private and public links. And I guess (I think), if you have a media fire account, you
could still get to it. That is why some could see them and some could not.

Get them while you can because Media Fire messes with the links or redirects after a while, not sure what the deal is.

And the better view of Lindsey being teary and the comforting embrace at the end... ;)

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/z09209LCRt4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's one thing to see Stevie so emotional during this song but to see Lindsey teary eyed too? I can't help but wonder what in the hell his wife is thinking.I don't know if I could take my hubby up on stage falling apart over a relationship that supposedly ended 30 years ago.He has probably been telling his wife all that stuff is just for show-if she believes that she must be in a state of complete denial IMO.I have a feeling we're going to be seeing Lindsey in divorce court in the near future.

You know, I don't think so. She knew about this long before she married him… so she either understands or accepts whatever it is. It's possible she thought she could change it or something.. but yeah, without a doubt she had her eyes open.

I'm pretty sure Stevie doesn't even talk to Lindsey when the band's not active, which is more often than not, so it's more likely Stevie poses zero threat to Lindsey's relationship.

I have to say that would surprise me, and very little surprises me with this band anymore.

That said I think the emotion of the video has to do with the Christmas season, John being sick, and the ending of the tour more than romantic love between Lindsey and Stevie. Every time a Fleetwood Mac tour ends, I'd imagine that Stevie (and the others in the band) are standing there wondering if it might be the last time they might be onstage with those people again. Emotions run high with stuff like that, I'd imagine.

I haven't been here in quite awhile but wanted to chime in and say what a frickin fantastic show this was! So glad I made it and what a joy and pleasure it was to see my Mac Buddy Dan & his delightful daughter Sarah, a bleated congratulation to the beautiful bride & may you & yours be blessed with many years of love & happiness!!

I was one of the many people that sighed out a big AHHHHH when the song Say Goodbye brought Stevie to tears, one could not but feel the emotion during that moment there at the MGM Grand, it was real and heart felt by me and many others I would think~ Now frosting on the cake that Christine is officially back & so The Mac is truly back!!!
