Dude, calm down. The question was what SF was known for. That's not to say that SF doesn't have good eateries; EVERY city has good restaurants! Rather, it's about what is unique about this particular city, e.g., cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, bagels in NYC, Legal Seafood in Boston, etc. And how could anyone who grew up in the 1970s not remember those ubiquitous Rice-a-roni commercials? Tongue firmly planted in cheek, dude.
Point well taken! I just think it's a shame when people visit SF & miss out on the great restaurants here.
There are some people who think they know SF because they visited Fisherman's Wharf. Like most cities, the best things and places to see arent the tourist traps.

Are any of you going to bring cameras? What do you think the security is going to be like at the Fillmore? I don't want to get there, and then get my camera taken away =(.......or get yelled at by Stevie, I would definitely die inside if she used her "Accusing Sheryl Crow of lying tone" with me.
BTW was that reference too obscure? haha

Ledgies have opinions on the size of Stevie's earlobes. No way is a recent Oprah reference too obscure. (Unless you're referring to something completely unrelated, in which case:o)
Plenty of people (myself included) filmed at the Wiltern without any problems. Stevie seems to have become progressively opposed to filming during the tour, though. At some point her team added an announcement about it, and there was that time she yelled at fans for filming. As soon as I heard about that, I decided to never do it again. I'm pretty sure I would sob uncontrollably if Stevie ever called me out.

Ok i'm going to be cautious. I'm not into seeing the concert through film anyway, but I may, if I can just sneak one or two pics, w/o flash of course. Mezzo, Your name is Grace right? My name is Marty, you will also be there correct? I'm gettin' pretty stoked.

Ok SF ledgies, time to put your party planning hats on...:woohoo:
As you know, there's a bunch of us traveling to SF for this amazing weekend and most of us will be in town by dinner time on Friday.
Can anyone recommend some good group spots for dinner/drinks? And are there any SF ledgies who can meet up Friday night?
I know there's quite a few of us staying about a mile east of the Fillmore off of Geary. I've only ever been to dinner in the Union Square area, so I am clueless. I'm hoping there are some great places in Pacific Heights or areas closer to The Fillmore that you can recommend, or else somewhere we can easily access. Last time I was in SF, I was in the PH area and remember a street with lots of shops and restaurants...was that Fillmore even?
Anyway, just hoping someone can point us in the right direction and I'm sure I speak for a lot of us when I say we are excited to meet the SF/bay area ledgies!

I wouldn't worry about people getting mad. In my line experiences, when youre in line all day with people you tend to be friendly with them. A lot of times youll hold each others' spots for potty breaks too, so it should be fine.

People won't get angry if you are in line and need to leave and come back. And to be honest, I don't think saving a place for 1 or possibly 2 people (if you are in a big group) will be a problem. I think people get mad when one person saves a spot and 5 people join him/her.
I live in SF and would love to meet anyone who wants to for dinner Friday night. There are places in Japantown, which is one block from the Fillmore. The two restaurants that I know are Japanese and southern Indian. Or, we could go to Clement Street, which is about a 30 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride. If we are a big group, there is a cheap Thai place that is really good and would be able to accommodate a larger party. (By cheap I mean, under $20 for dinner, depending on how much you eat.) I'm not sure if there are a lot of gay ledgies coming, but if so, and you guys want to go to the Castro, there are a few places there too. That's about a 30 minute walk as well from the Fillmore as well. Anyway, let me know if I can help organize something. :)

HI all. I'm assuming that people want to keep the dinner prices down. Here are some cheaper options that I know of:
in the Castro:
pretty cheap
Thai Chef, http://www.thaichefsf.com/
Curry Boyzz, (Indian) http://curryboyzz.com/
Nirvana, (Asian fusion) http://nirvanarestaurant.net/
a little more expensive,
Chow (American, Italian, Asian) http://www.chowfoodbar.com/church_location.html
pricier
Starbelly, (California cuisine), http://www.starbellysf.com/
pricey
2223 (California cuisine), http://www.2223restaurant.com/
On Valencia near the Castro (a 10 minute walk)
Osha Thai, http://www.oshathai.com/2/
Fritz (fries, mussels, burgers, crepes, salads) http://www.frjtzfries.com/
Sunflower (Vietnamese) http://www.sunflowersf.com/
How many of us are there? At some of these places it will be hard to get a place for a large group on a Friday night. I like all of them, though Starbelly and 2223 are more expensive than what I'm used to paying for dinner. Give me some input :) Otherwise, we can just pick a meeting spot (say the Castro theater at 6:30 Friday night) and then decide where we want to go. And I don't mean to be doing all the planning, but it didn't seem like anyone else wanted to. I'm totally open to someone else planning it, but if not, I'll be happy to try to organize our Stevie dinner. :)

Haha, I didn't even think of that. It's actually a play on the French word "Frites", as in "pommes frites" aka French fries :)
As for crab, I don't know if this will satisfy your crab urge, but the Thai places all have crab cakes. :)

Hi Kevin, thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. Something Friday evening sounds promising. My partner Shawn & I would most likely be interested? To hone in on the time-frame, is it generally easier to get in these restaurants @6:30 or 8:30-ish?? Good Thai or Indian sound good. Do you know of any good Mexican restaurants that also serve sea food?
As an aside, a friend mentioned the Boom Boom Room/jazz/blues club is not to be missed, near the Fillmore, do you know/have any first hand knowledge?

Hello! Sorry to butt in, there is a great place called Nopalito, that is off Divisadero & Fell. They have great food & margaritas. It's kind of an upscale Mexican place, but the food is excellent. I went there with a friend for lunch a week ago, and loved the food. I would recommend an earlier dinner-6:30 because it can get pretty crowded & I dont believe they take reservations.

We could plan an earlier time for dinner and a later time for drinks.
I'd prefer an earlier dinner...only cause I'm along with a few others will still be on east coast time. I hope to nap a little before lining up as well.

10-04-2011, 09:18 PM
I just checked Nopalito's menu. I don't mean to be a pain in the butt, but I'm vegetarian, and there were only two appetizerish options and no main dish options for vegetarians. Plus I think people are hoping to stay in the Castro. I think that the easiest thing is to just go for Thai. There are two good places, one of which I listed, neither of which will be difficult to get a table at if we go earlish or latish. Or, if we are going to be a big group, I can make a reservation. So far there are more people opting for early. Maybe the people who can't come early can meet for drinks? Also, if we have dinner at 6:30, you can take a cab and be at Union Square in 10-15 minutes, so you could have dinner with us and maybe leave slightly early to meet your friend. Or, there could be an earlier dinner group and a later drink group. What do you all think?

Kevin,
Who knew you were a vegetarian? I was simply trying to make a better than average option to Christopher who asked about a good Mexican place. Nopalito is not in the Castro, but it's a 20 minute walk or 5 minute cab ride, so it wasnt out of the question.
Have a great time everyone!

OK, well, tomorrow is the MW show and so I'll be busy and probably won't be able to get on line too much before Friday, and I know that some of you are traveling Friday. To accommodate people who may be on East Coast time and tired from traveling and who might be getting up early Saturday, I guess we should just meet at 6:30 in front of the Castro Theater. It would be nice if I knew how many people are coming so that we'll know when everybody is there so that we can leave to go get dinner.
OK, see y'all Friday evening. Stevie is tomorrow night. :)

I got to the Wiltern at 3:30AM, but won't be repeating here. Dani, Amber, and I were the only ones until around 5:30, when Eliza (S.Nicks?) joined. Three more women showed up around 6:30, I think. If you're happy with being in the first 15, anytime before 7 should be safe.
Stamina is key. Honestly, we were all barely functioning by showtime. Under-slept, dehydrated, famished. If, like me, you're hitting both shows, you'll want to be especially careful.
Personally, I'm thinking 5:30.
Will you have chairs or just blankets?
I'm just getting dropped off, I won't have a car, please help me out to plan for this Saturday, thank you everybody I appreciate it!
-Marty
I won't have either. Just comfy clothes and one of those airport neck pillows.
Unless you have someplace to put chairs or a blanket, you're kind of out of luck, I'm afraid.

I have a birthday party to go to during the day on Saturday and won't be in line until the afternoon. However, if any of you want to bring chairs and put them in my car around 6 PM, that's fine. You can get them when the show's over. Let me know. Also, we can make food runs while we wait in line. There are places near the Fillmore to get pizza and I think there's a taqueria too.

For the Wiltern show, i was 65th in line getting there around 330 PM. I still got a great spot too. (About 4 people back from the stage, dead center). I would think these crowds would be similar, but i guess you never know for sure.

This most likely will be me. I'm pretty sure I don't possess the same stamina or patience now that I did during my teens through my twenty-something-ish years for GA shows. I may have a change of heart, who knows, everything seems very ad hoc at this point.

Great show! Same set as the summer. Stevie did her usual San Francisco talk, no surprises. She said San Francisco was her favorite city. Kathy Griffin was at the show. Stevie dedicated Landslide to her. Edge of Seventeen was totally abbreviated and performed like it was on The Talk, very shocking. She cut out the whole "the sky never expects it when it rains" bridge and the trademark growl. The crowd mimicked her "For What It's Worth" dance, which Sharon and Lori got a big kick out of.
Stevie looked fantastic, clearly slimmer than usual. Her hair was perfect.

I think they were selling t-shirts, not sure though. But the Fillmore handed out a free "Bill Graham Presents in San Francisco Stevie Nicks (in HUGE letters) and Michael Grimm (in small letters)" poster. It's blue and green with flowers and stars in the background. It's really cool. Michael Grimm, the opening act, was quite amazing, I must say. The crowd went absolutely nuts for him, especially when the band (everyone except Stevie) came out to accompany him on his last song. He's definitely one of the best opening acts that Stevie has ever had.

Yeah, I'm not sure. The show ended around 11:30pm. If time was an issue, I would have thought they'd cut the drum solo like they had done in Saratoga. So I have a sinking feeling it's going to be the new normal. I recorded the entire song. I'll post the video when I have a chance. Unfortunately, it isn't the best audio.

Just got hm from last night show, tired but got some rad new memories to add to the Stevie log!! i got there right before the doors opened at 7:00. Took a quick glance through the line and didn't see anyone I knew that was there? Mimi and the Ledge gang were there?
When I got in the venue I could easily see I can still be 3-4 people from the stage on the right side... Got a beer and checked the left side of stage and got closer to stage so stayed there...that didnt turn out so well...there was drama a few time on the left side, theses girls almost went toe to toe!! There was a few other uncomfortable moments...but the show must go on.
I got all 7 min. of Love Is, not the best video but the audio is really good! Dude that yelled out "love you"as if on que, Awesome!! I loved Stevie's huge smile, in what should be a serious song, when you yelled that was priceless

Ok, just got home from the show. I cut a weekend in Seattle short & got home at 2pm, so this was a long day!
I got there at 7, right as the doors were opening.
I was just to the left of Stevie about 5 people back from the stage. I was wondering about all the Ledgies because 2 handsome young guys were right next to me & during FWIW, they did the knocking motion.
Anyhow, I loved the show. It was kind of surreal to see Stevie so close. Loved that she came out in red, instead of black.
She seemed to be in pretty good voice & very chatty and cheerful. The Fillmore was packed. I am sure it sold out at the door.
She was really enthusiastic in her delivery of the new songs and graciously thanked the audience for listening to the new songs "with grace" which I thought was really sweet. She sounded so comfortable & playful with FWIW, it was my favorite song of the evening along with Moonlight.
I was impressed with Michael Grim, especially with his rousing version of Stay with Me with Stevie's band. It was quite a performance!
The only drama around me was when 2 security guys drug a guy out of the front for filming the show. Most of the people around me were ok.
So this was a very special night for me. Hope everyone enjoyed the show!

A fellow DIMEr contacted me and asked if I'd record this show if he got me a ticket. I've only done soundboard and multitrack recordings at The Fillmore before and welcomed the opportunity to see how an audience recording might go. The 1500 capacity venue was sold out to an enthusiastic crowd. Opener was Michael Grimm, who joined Stevie for one song.
This sounds better on quality headphones and on my studio monitors than on the car stereo - give this a listen on headphones!

Better than: Unicorn sightings.
Stevie Nicks spent quite a few moments of Saturday night's performance at the Fillmore marveling that she was onstage at the Fillmore, the place where she once attended concerts by the likes of the Byrds and Jimi Hendrix and dreamed about her own possibilities.
"If you wish on the stars," said the singer and Peninsula native, "you might get a satellite!"
Nicks left no doubt that she appreciated her time there as much as the approximately 1,500 fans that had managed to get inside. And she didn't keep anyone waiting to hear a classic, starting off with "Stand Back" and weaving a set of what she dubbed "all the wonderful old things and some new songs that deserve to be played."
The new songs, including "Secret Love," "For What It's Worth," and "Soldier's Angel," came from In Your Dreams, her critically acclaimed seventh studio album and first since 2001's Trouble in Shangri-La. It's also an extended collaboration with producer Dave Stewart, best known as half of the Eurythmics. She offered extra background when it came to songs like "Soldier's Angel," inspired by visiting with wounded war veterans, and served them all up with as much polish as her seasoned anthems from "Rhiannon" to the closing "Edge of Seventeen."
Nicks cut a slimmer shape from recent years, and her long blond hair appeared flawless against two well-tailored outfits, one in mystical black and the other in corseted white. Both had the benefit of high-heeled black boots. She simply looked amazing, and was pitch-perfect throughout. She didn't even appear dizzy after her trademark slow twirls.
Nicks made two major dedications during her show: "Landslide" was offered up for her friend, comedienne Kathy Griffin, who waved at the crowd from the balcony. And Nicks honored her vocal coach, Steve Real, who came out to duet on "Leather and Lace." We'd never seen anyone shout-out their vocal coach during a concert, let alone with such affection and obvious gratitude. But gratitude was certainly the overriding emotion felt that night from Stevie Nicks and her audience.
Critic's Notebook
Personal bias: I once got to meet Nicks and touch the shawl known as the "sleeves of 'Rhiannon'" in her dressing room.
Random detail: One poor lady fainted and collapsed before Nicks even took to the stage. We're not sure if she was overwhelmed by her health or the show that was about to happen, but we felt for her and the sad look on her face as she was wheeled out of the main room.
By the way: Nicks also performed a second show at the Fillmore on Sunday night (Oct. 9).

I see. Props for her switching things up. I couldn't be a star and wear the same things night after night. On one hand it's understandable her wanting to keep things as simple as possible while on the road, on the other hand you sometimes feel she no longer cares about dressing up differently for herself, for her fans. And she owns such fabulous clothes.
Just now getting a chance to log in after a super exciting/hectic night! As many others have already stated, the show was awesome!
* I looooved the feathers and the red dress! Totally unexpected (but it's these little things that fans freak out over)
* I'm over the dust ruffle skirts already. They need to join the frankenboks waaaay at the back of her closet. Bring back the layers Stevie!!!
* Apparently she forgot where she went to college. "San Mateo"?! Try about 30 mins south of that. My bf is a CSU San Jose student, and it's one of the few trivia bits he knows so he actually caught it before me. When he said something to me the obnozious lady behind us tried to correct him; "Um, I think she knows where she went to school fellas!"
* All of my pics/videos turned out like sh*t!
* I want "Sorcerer", "FFG", "IAF" and "OTR" back in the set :( As much as I love the new stuff (and that she's actually playing it!) I was surprised how much I missed those 4.
* "Love Is" made me tear up a bit, and I have no idea why... :o

Hello all! Just got back home, feeling the Stevie comedown. It was such an incredible weekend!
First, thanks to all who made those 28 hours in line actually pleasant. Ed, Anna, Curtis, MiMi, Amy, Christopher, Shawn, Maria, Marlene, Sarah (Syrah--the Ledge's newest member!), Stephanie, Emily, and all the others I had the pleasure of seeing--you are all absolute gems. There's nothing like Stevie-ing out with a bunch of people as crazy as you are.
Part of it was probably just being front and center both nights, but I was totally blown away by her performances. The conundrum, as it often is: what is there to say about a show that good? Not much. Which is a good thing, actually, because I have a mountain of schoolwork to do for tomorrow. Suffice to say, she was a force. Especially the second night--when she came out in a red dress, with turquoise Janis feathers in her hair, it was just perfect.
Thoughts/ highlights/ lowlights/ "Oh, Stevie!" moments:
- Michael Grimm's "Stay With Me": Such a wonderful surprise when Stevie's band came to the stage for this one.
- Night 1 included the best GDW wail I've heard.
- Some changes in Moonlight, I think. It sounds closer to the album version.
- Is there anything more fun than doing the FWIW dance? I think Stevie got a kick out of it!
- Stevie forgot Lenny's name! And even after Carlos said it, she sort of went, "Lenny...Lenny...[finally] LENNY CASTRO!" Oh, Stevie.
- There's nothing like seeing her in such a small venue, surrounded by other hard-core fans. I'm so proud of her for doing it! (Someone must be listening to us, right?)

On a side note, though: I saw an infomercial the other day for a $20 feather hair clip talking about how it's the new trend, lmao. I'm thinking, haven't people been wearing feathers in their hair FOREVER?

The Stevie Nicks show at the Fillmore on Sunday night was like a time warp to an early Eighties high school. Although most of the women in the audience were in their 40s and 50s, they were competing for “Best Dressed” like girls more than half their age. They paid tribute to their Queen Stevie in dark velvet, shimmering shawls, and long skirts. If I didn’t know better, I would say they’d kept those clothes in their closets for 20 years just for this occasion. But shopping with my mom has taught me that they sell it all at Chico’s.
When the lights went down all the fashion, pretense, and iPhone surfing ceased. Nicks walked onstage to the roar of an adoring crowd. We were screaming, waving our hands, jumping up and down, and squealing. She was beautiful, charismatic, sexy. Nicks gave us a shy nod then put her game face on: ready to rock.
Over the next two hours we were transfixed, willing to go wherever she took us. She started with her Eighties hit “Stand Back.” We danced and sang the lyrics back to her, pumping our arms in the air with every repetition of “Stand back!” She announced that she’d be playing some of her new songs because they’re “some of (her) best work. This is not a greatest hits show.” Fine with us, Stevie. We just wanted to hear you sing.
She knew what we wanted and drew us hungrily along, panting and begging for it. She waited a few songs before revealing her signature, winged sleeves and spinning around to the music. We roared. She announced “Landslide” as the “song that everyone keeps paying to hear” with irony, but without sarcasm. We cried and sang through our tears: “I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills.” She gave us a knowing smile: “I’m getting older, too.”
Peppered in among her hits were the aforementioned new songs, including “Moonlight (A Vampire’s Dream)," which she wrote after seeing Twilight: New Moon. I seemed to be the only audience member who knew this connection (maybe because I was one of few under the age of 30) and tried to jump up and down as quietly as I could. Nicks also gave a lengthy intro to her new song “Soldier’s Angel,” which took her four years to write and was inspired by her work with the Wounded Warriors Project. These new songs fell a little flat on the album, but when performed live by Nicks, they became rocking, sweeping epics. The new hits.
It was a night of drama, with a flashy light show and three costume changes. But what else would we expect from Stevie Nicks? She’s drama and fantasy and old school rock. All the guys want to be with her and all the girls want to be her, even when they’re 50-plus.

I have just returned from my trip to SF and I am totally exhausted! I knew it was going to be an intense, tiring period, but I suppose nothing could have girded me for the reality of barely sleeping and dealing with the elements for two full days. But that being said, it was sooo worth it! Although nothing, and I mean nothing will ever top the epic Wiltern show, I would say that Stevie's best show ever could be culled, piece by piece, from the two Fillmore shows. Although the setlist was identical both nights, for some reason it felt like two decidedly different shows. Saturday night was probably the more "stock" show of the two, but featured some of the best live vocals I have heard from her in ages. Sunday night was definitely the wilder of the two. Perhaps it had something to do with the feathers in her hair (Lori had feathers too!), or maybe the way she was selling the garment during "Moonlight," but there was definitely a spirit of rejuvenation and accomplishment on Sunday night- almost as if she was thrilled to be ticking something else off of her bucket list. It could also have something to do with the fact that the heat was stifling inside of the venue and I saw something I had never seen before in my life: a bead of sweat trickling down from her forehead to the inside corner of her left eye. After Stevie quipped that the AC must have been broken, almost as if by magic, a strong gust of cool air immediately swept through the hall. It was that kind of night. I should also mention that the performance of "Soldiers Angel" was particularly intense Sunday night- so intense that Stevie actually stood hunched over at the end covering her eyes for at least 10 seconds; she was really feeling the song and was obviously moved to tears. Perhaps it was the fact that service members were in attendance in uniform (it was Fleet Week after all).
In a nutshell, this experience was so gratifying for me as a lifelong fan of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie especially. There was no grading on a curve here- this was an artist at the height of her powers as a performer. This was really Stevie unleashed in the best possible way- the crowd was rapturous to say the least, and Stevie was clearly loving every second of it.
I should also mention the great people that I hung out with on those two very long days in line- Grace, Amy, Anna, Emily, Stephanie, Sarah, Sarah's dad and many, many others. The weather could have been warmer. But otherwise I wouldn't have changed a thing about the whole experience. I would do it all over again in a second.

Sounds like they were right on top of that then? I've always felt she loves her some AC. Or could be that if you're saying it was cool outside maybe they hadn't ran it at all, until she mentioned something. All in all sounds like 2 great shows. My last memorable one where I felt she was in top form, was on the Gold Dust Tour in Cincinnati 2005. People were even commenting as we were leaving the venue.

It was also very warm on Sat. night, at some point had to take the l/s dress shirt off. Also noticed it was a bit dusty, we all know how Stevie frowns on the dust. The venue is old and looked like the chandelier right above me was dusty and you could see it floating in the spot lights....however that did not bother me one bit!

My Dad and I were at both shows and had a wonderful time with all of you ledgies, you guys made the day fly by and it was great getting to know all of you: Ed, Grace, Anna, Annita, Dawn, Mimi, and Amy ( i think all of you are on here?)! And of course the ones we already know...Curtis, Emily, Steven and Rick! I cannot wait to see you all again!

I've always loved reading your reviews. It was great being in line next to you and up in the front row with you both nights. You hit the nail on the head...Wiltern was hands down the best Stevie show I've ever been to....but The Fillmore shows come in a close second for me. Just because with the Wiltern it was the anticipation of hearing the new songs for the first time and I think she absolutely killed it that night!

I think any decent video will be scarce! On Sunday night a guy brazenly shooting video about six feet from the stage was literally dragged out by three security guys, no questions asked. Granted, the guy was the biggest douche nozzle who ever existed (as evidenced by his obnoxious howling during Michael Grimm's set), so I was thrilled that he was dragged away. I swear, if he kept up that obnoxious behavior during Stevie's set, I would have personally gotten physical with him. Hell hath no fury like a chiffonhead scorned.

I don't have too much to add from what has already been reported about the show itself, but I'd love to share some of my thoughts and favorite moments from this past weekend.
1. Thank you to the NYC ledgie contingent. Because I've gotten to know you all and hear all about your adventures I knew I absolutely had to jump on board for this one. Mimi, Maria, Anna, Grace, Curt and Ed....thanks for helping induct me into this world. Every ounce of my being thanks you! Well, except maybe my credit card. hehe
2. I am so happy to have met so many other ledgies there.... Chris, Susie, Anita, Sarah, Michelle, Marty, Kevin and anyone else I'm forgetting -- the chain just keeps getting bigger!
3. Being at the stage just a few feet from Stevie and in between Carlos and the girls for two nights was such a sweet spot for me. I enjoy watching the interaction between Stevie and the girls and then the best is watching the reaction we got from doing the FWIW hand motions.
4. A highlight from Saturday night was just as Waddy was winding down the Rhiannon guitar inro, Anita's friend Dawn and me were banging along with the beat on the stage. We were SOOO loud that we caught Stevie's attention and she looked at Waddy with a huge smile and then she pointed at us. It was awesome!
5. I've never seen Stevie so happy. I really think she would have stayed and played all night. And when she walked out in that red dress and feathers on Sunday night, I thought I was going to die. She was such a vision.
6. Sunday night I waited with Anita and Dawn at the stage to try to get the setlists. The roadie first went for Sharon's and it was taped down so bad that it wouldn't come up. So he went over to the list in front of Carlos and Anita got that one. Then Dawn got Lori's. I was standing there and the Roadie looked at me and he went back to get Sharon's for me. It ripped a bit cause he had to pull really hard, but i was grateful. So afterward we waited outside to see if we get a glimpse of the band leaving. Ricky, Darrell, Al and Carlos came out first and I said goodbye to Carlos cause he walked right in front of me. I'm pretty sure he recognized me as one of the girls in front of him all night. And then Sharon came out and I walked right up to her and explained how i got her setlist and would she be kind enough to sign. She was such a sweetheart! Not only did she sign, but she asked me my name so she could personalize. I was so overjoyed!! Then Lori comes out and she books it to her van which was about 100 ft passed us. She says bye and that she has to go as she ran by us. But then, she pops out of the van and RUNS back in her boots nonetheless and came right over where i was and said she had a few moments to sign stuff. So she signed my setlist also but what had me in stitches was tha she was shoving tortilla chips in her mouth during this. Gotta love you some Lori Nicks! Here's my souvenir:
http://i709.photobucket.com/albums/ww95/Amlyn75/setlist.jpg
7. On Tuesday morning, Anna and I were down in the 'burbs so we decided to go find Stevie and Lindsey's high school. Wouldn't you know AS we were driving around the parking lot Rhiannon came on the radio!! It was a very cool moment. I still am in awe from it.
Overall, I don't have a complaint about this weekend other than missing out on sleep and now being under the weather. But it was worth it for this. And not to mention SF is one of my favorite cities in the world. I was in tears getting on the plane to fly home yesterday. I didn't want it to end.
I will never forget this experience. Stevie was amazing and looking over and seeing my friends, old and new, having the time of their lives at the concert just was so moving. From the show itself, to sleeping on the streets like bums, to Starbucks runs and goodwill and dollar store buys, doing shots in line as well as befriending half the security at The Fillmore, I am never, ever going to forget this.
-Amy
Oops, forgot to mention Anna and I also went to Sausalito and found the Record Plant. Can't believe such an epic album was conceived in that little building. So unbelievably amazing to get to be there. Gosh, the drama that must have gone on in that space must be staggering!

I found this Landslide particularly charming - the huge wink & grin during the first "I'm getting older too," and her eyes seemed to be a little wet after the guitar solo..

Cheap Pete's in San Francisco makes frames specifically for Filmore posters. There used to be only one size, but I guess now the Filmore makes 2 sizes. I posted a link below so you can buy a frame that will fit the poster perfectly. :)
