Is she really doing Soldier's Angel? I don't really have any desire to hear it sans LB. Especially if Waddy is doing LB's part. Blech.

No one knows if she is. She is doing it tomorrow at Sturgis but we wont know until the show actually starts. I think Waddy always rocked out on INTK and SDMHA

I'm happy that the worst case scenerio is we get the identical set list to the wiltern. Because that was an awseome set. And i'm pretty sure that's what it'll be with I think Cheaper than Free dropped and Landslide in its place or maybe Rock and Roll back in the encore and another song dropping. And that worst case is really nothing to complai about. But greedy me is also hoping for just one other song from IYD that wasn't in the Wiltern set and really a non IYD song shes never done before or hasnt in a long time. But again totally satidfied just to get 7 IYD songs plus Fall From Grace stays in the set!

If the show starts at 8 pm and Micheal opens, She may not start till 9pm...which would be 11pm Eastern time..we may still have an hour to go till we know the set:(

I've long said it's the song with the most single potential on the record.

Difference is, "Landslide" hasn't been in every tour Stevie's done with Fleetwood Mac or solo, even though it's seemed that way for better or (realistically, worse). But "Stand Back" has been in every Stevie solo and Fleetwood Mac set that's had Stevie in it since 1983.

I agree! To me it is kinda like a Fleetwood Mac concert without The Chain or GYOW. Although, I would prefer Stand Back a little later in the set. IYD's would be a great opener.

Al's posted more - his view of the crowd from his spot onstage and from the wings. Looks like the space between the rail and the front row was roped off as the handicapped section. You can see a burly security guard sitting in a chair, with his back to the stage, facing the crowd. Doesn't look like an Edge rush was allowed.

So, the Wiltern set with L&L instead of Cheaper than Free. I can live with that. :D And the time to rush the stage for Edge would be during L&L?

This may be the first tour ever with NO cover songs!?! I've always said every band should do one kick-ass cover song, but it's refreshing for Stevie not to this time around.

Great set and I'm very happy she is doing at least half of the album. This is the first time in a long time I'm excited to see Stevie again.

The DJ in me can't help but tinker with the set list just a bit; here is how I would have sequenced the songs:

Gold Dust Woman
In Your Dreams
Secret Love
Dreams
Sorcerer
Moonlight
For What It’s Worth
Ghosts Are Gone
Soldier's Angel (w/ girls)
Leather and Lace (with Steve Real)
Stand Back
Annabel Lee (the new How Still My Love)
Edge of Seventeen

~Encores~

Rhiannon
Love Is

But again, I'm not complaining, I'll be happy as long as she doesn't drop or change it too much by the time I see her.

It seems she is more "into it" or less stoic when someone is with her onstage like Dave Stewart or even when she performed with Rod Stewart. I felt the "boring" feeling during some of the 03' -09' Fleetwood Mac Tours.
I know she likes to stay around the microphone, but they could at least enhance the stage decor, lighting, back drop screens, or something to make the show a little more exciting. I'm not saying go as far as the Rod Stewart Vegas style set-up but something like the "Live in Chicago" dvd or even a nice set like they did on the Tango tour...if I remember correctly. I'll go see her no matter what though.

Great show!!! Edge walk was a little different because of all the wheelchairs. You had to be in the first row or second. They gave out bracelets to 1st and half of 2nd row (luckily I was in second row right before the row was roped off and the rest of the second row continued with a rope in front of it, and got a bracelet).Thankfully It was seat 29!!!! Walking to my seat I said if my seat is beyond that rope Im gonna be pissed. She actually came off the stage and walked directly in front of us!!!! Stevie looked and sounded amazing!!! This was like my I dont know I have lost count but my 150th show since 1979!

it's probably due to the boots...if she wore them all night. On the Unleashed tour she said she had trouble concentrating on singing because her feet hurt so bad. I know we all hate the boks but I think she performs a lot better when she wears them.

There's really nothing quite like seeing a show at Red Rocks. :woohoo:

The Ledgies I met were all so nice and gracious. I didn't get as much time with everyone as I would have liked, but it was a memorable night and it was wonderful to meet everyone that I did.

I was sitting in row 3, and it's the closest I've ever been to the stage at a Stevie show. I was hoping to get some good pictures, but many of them that I took didn't turn out as great as I thought they were while I was taking them.

Stevie wore the usual black outfit, but switched it up to white for Edge and Love Is. Annabel Lee was far better live than I expected. I enjoyed Sorcerer, which I usually don't. Moonlight seemed a little crooked and off balance. I couldn't put my finger on it until Curtis said that it needed the strings that are in the album version, and it all made sense. I'm sort of surprised that Stevie didn't get a violin player for the tour....and I won't be surprised if she drops the song later on down the line. My partner likes to make fun of Stevie and my love for her music. He means it in a fun way, and sometimes he actually makes me laugh - he wanted to know if since Moonlight was her Twilight song, was Sorcerer her Harry Potter song?

Gold Dust Woman was great but it always is. The crowd really came alive at this point! Ghosts Are Gone was next and sounded great! Stevie talked a bit about Walter Reed and her experiences there that were the inspiration for Soldier's Angel. At some point near here, a friend of mine working the event brought me a copy of the setlist, which I posted below.

I noticed that as the crowd's energy grew, so did Stevie's. She really lit up the second half of the show, and her performances of Secret Love - and Leather And Lace - were some of the best of the night for me. I was surprised how good Leather And Lace sounded, and it was sweet of Stevie to sing it with her vocal coach. I hope they keep this in the set for the whole tour - Stevie's vocal was so good and the song fits her voice very well.

Then came The Edge. I would have loved to do the Edge Walk, but it wasn't in the stars. I get a little bothered about it at every Stevie show, but this time was ok. She was SO CLOSE that it felt like I was there. All in all, Stevie was on fire during this song. When she moved down to the audience for the Edge Walk, the swooning of the fans and the drums and guitar and the energy of those massive Red Rocks all came together and the wind became crazy - like seriously, it was intense! I can't even explain the energy of the audience, and the wind, and the way they fed off of each other and the way Stevie's hair was blowing. You had to be there - I tried to capture it in a few photos posted below.

Love Is closed the show and was better than I would ever have imagined it to be. The audience was silent, hanging on Stevie's every word, all the way to the very last word.

I had a great night at Red Rocks and being there with other Ledgies just made it better. Thank you!

Pretty good setlist - definitely not the same ol' same ol'.

Love the white - would have preferred her in beige boots, but that's just because I can never be totally satisfied.

I felt the same way at the Tampa H&S Tour . . . except I felt like I was alone because all the BORING Rod Stewart fans were up taking bathroom breaks. How rude.

Those pics in the white dress are dreamy. But it also kind of reminds me of the bride in the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland!

As far as no strings on moonlight - I'm pretty sure they piped them in with a synthesizer at the Wilter show..

wonderful, isn't it? I hope it stays out. And I'm thrilled to see Leather and Lace back in!! I'm thinking realistically here...I don't think all the IYD songs are gonna stay in the set. I'm guessing one or two will be dropped, replaced with more familiar tunes. I could (and hope) I'm just going on the history of past tours.

Okay I've had a little rest and time to recover. I met up with fellow Ledgies at the restaurant and it was unsettling but fun! Unsettling in that I was by myself in Colorado with a bunch of people I'd never met in person but feeling as though I knew some of them already. Weird, but really cool. There were a few folks I would have liked to spend more time with, but maybe another time! The temperature difference was so dramatic in Denver that Dani and I had to run to a store so I could buy a tank top before the show. It is about 20 degrees cooler where I am staying and I was way over dressed.

After dinner we headed to the venue and I am going to get the negative stuff out of the way first. The people in the crowd were the rudest I have ever encountered at a show. I'm not going to waste space with details, but I was really shocked at the stupidity and meanness of some of the people I encountered. Two grown women behind me actually got into a fist fight and had to be removed. At a Stevie show! When I finally made my way back to my assigned seat (before Stevie even started) the woman seated there told me no! When I showed her my ticket, she still gave me an attitude.

Red Rocks was amazing. It was beautiful and I could not believe how close I was to the stage. I actually had 5th row, but by the end of the show I was down front with Dani, Christopher, and a few others I don't know the names of. I got to hang out with DrummerDeanna for a bit before the show which was very cool.

Stevie looked so lovely. I am a sucker for the live experience, and I am grateful for that. I thought she looked and sounded fantastic. High points for me:

Annabel Lee- This song translates really well live. What a great song!

Ghosts are Gone- I loved her energy and how she pulled out the tambourine for a bit of a strut around the stage.

Moonlight- I agree the arrangement was a little weak, but it was exciting for me to watch because I love the song. I loved the crouching down and intensity from her.

Rhiannon- I know, it is old and some feel uninspired but I thought she was very intense with it.

Edge of Seventeen- Really. I was surprised too but it was so much fun. As others have mentioned, the wind picked up and made it very dramatic and wild. Not to mention the white dress was stunning. Singing with Christopher was a total blast and being in that moment was very cool. I almost got a handshake but in the end, some guy in a red shirt blazed his way in front of me so not only did I miss the hand, but I couldn't even SEE her until she was past us. Thanks guy in red shirt!

A few things I remember:

She told the audience that she hadn't rehearsed what she would say between songs, so she was winging it (I think she said that phrase, don't quote me). she said something about not going into long drawn out explanations between songs. She talked about how much she loved Red Rocks and how she believes her life changed after that 1985 show (saved her life?). She gave a long and emotional talk before Soldier's Angel about her Walter Reed experience. She was very sweet when introducing her vocal coach (what an interesting and fun surprise). Her boots kept sliding down and she would adjust them for time to time. I noticed that Sharon watched Stevie with a very sweet (loving? proud?) expression on her face for much of the show. I have been known to feel disappointed about Stevie's lack of emotional presence at past shows, and I really did not get that feeling at this show at all.

It seemed to fly bye. When she ended with Love Is, poor Dani was sobbing behind me so I held her hand-lol. It was very cool to feel like I knew some of the Ledgies forever. Thank you to Grace, Dani, Ed, Anna, Emily, Cammie, Deanna, David, Karma (heh, Matt I think?), Curtis, Marlene, Randy, Christopher (seriously that Edge moment was so awesome), and the others that I am blanking out on, for being so fun and being a part of this special night. I wish I could have hung out after the show, but maybe next time! My back and legs were KILLING me after the show but it was totally worth it.

She probably is, to be honest. When that lady started singing 'Landslide' to her on the news Stevie rolled her eyes

It's a fabulous song, but it's had a LOT of exposure lately, and I imagine it's tiresome that that's all anyone (read: casual fans / general public) ever wants to hear her sing.

Haha, I just mentioned that above.

Also, there was that interview from backstage at Jay Leno where the guy was like, "You wrote my favorite song of all time, Landslide!" and Stevie kind of made a face and goes, "The song that never dies...."

Love Is has grown on me, and I do love the song, but I think HAEWAFY works better as a closer, because it's kind of like she's singing it to the crowd... idk, if that makes sense.

Before the Wiltern I hadn't seen Stevie (solo) since 2001. So to hear Love Is performed, with just her and the piano, was an incredible experience. She performs the hell out of that song and it was profound for me. I think it's a stunning set closer.

Stevie was amazing the first few songs but to me, she was back to her robotic ways by the third song. I really enjoyed myself though. Matt and his partner were a delight to be sitting next to. She only wore two capes the entire show and played the tambo once. Vocally, she was on par but honestly, she is boring to watch.

I love this. So concise. Such a contrast. She'll pick it up consistently by the time she gets to NY though.

Well, Stevie doesn't need any more nervous ticks, that's for sure. With the pocket twiddling to juggle, we don't need her pulling up garters or leg warmers or girdles or anything else.

I can’t stand it on the album, but it does sound better live, if YouTube is any indication. The vocal on “Moonlight”, however, is so good on the album that she doesn’t come close to matching it live.

Yes, this does happen. When I caught the SA tour in Chicago, my friend Melissa came out of the women’s room all shaken up from the sight of two scary women fighting in there.
She pointed them out from all the way across the venue. Then they made their way down. To sit right next to me. Scarier & more obnoxious up close.

Glad you had fun.:)
