i'm shocked she didn't perform landslide. i think she IS sick of it

Left to her own devices, she'd perform the same three songs on a loop for the rest of her touring life. I really do think her people read the boards & she's responding to the complaints they relay to her. Not just regarding the stagnant set list & privileging of "Landslide" - how many times have people here begged to see her in red or white? Of course, it's no secret she hates wearing the boots and brought them back only after the fan uproar over the Frankenboks. As Liv posted, this is the first time she did no covers, which is a real turnaround especially compared to her last few tours. Not an epiphany on her part, but a response, I suspect. She knows that even diehard fans were ready to stop spending money on tickets if she didn't adjust a few things.

I think she was wearing black legwarmers.

I think the white dress would have looked better with white boots/leg warmers, or a cream or something.

But I'm not complaining. I like the white dress better than the black!

I always did love the jet black boots on her, and me, but agree the pale beige boots look so good when she wears white or cream colors.

Yeah I'm thinking those were leg warmers she wore with the black ankle boots she's worn on certain past tours, Tom Petty's etc. and in pics. I could see legwarmers sliding down black hose.

Stevie reading some of the things on this board is a scary thought

However, if it gets her to change things up and take some chances... then, so be it.

I forgot to mention that I loved For What It's Worth and In Your Dreams. :o

As I mentioned earlier, I am a sucker for a live experience. Had I seen this show only on youtube, I probably wouldn't have felt so strongly about how wonderful it all was- but the experience of being there and part of it all was very cool. I really do love Stevie Nicks and I felt so proud of her last night. Okay, I'm going back to regular (albeit vacation) life now.

P.S. Yes, probably were legwarmers, now that I think of it.

Love the white dress!

she did say in an interview that this isn't the same set list from 5 years ago or the heart & soul set list. so i think you're right, her people are on here.

so people responded well to "love is"? that's good to hear. i get worried when she sings love is because when i was at the garden in march, some guy was like "is this another new song?!" and then some lady was like "is she going to sing talk to me?"

Yes, the people who watch Youtube videos and declare that they aren't going to see a show because of what they saw/heard (or didn't see/hear) on the video -- maybe that's an excuse not to go to the concert, but it's not a reason. A video can't capture the experience, not the full audio, not the entire stage and not the intangible back and forth that occurs in a live performance. Youtube is only seeing through a glass darkly.

Could be wrong but I think they are legwarmers?

No, you're correct.

They are legwarmers, and she's got the hose on which makes her legs more slippery, and they're a bit big so as she moves around they loosen up and slide down to puddle around her ankles.

She must have lost weight 'cause they don't fit anymore! Kinda thought legwarmers were a one-size-fits-all type deal though.

Yeah kinda figured they were legwarmers with an ankle boot. These boots to me look like the ones she wore on Tom Petty's tour in photos. The platform was different than her usual ankle ones. It seemed wooden or something? Maybe people will post pics to help me lol.

Wow, the show was amazing. Stevie's voice was great. I agree with most of the comments already posted, so I won't waste space repeating. Although I will say there were a ton of very rude, stupid, drunk people there. Kind of weird for a Stevie show and embarrassing for Denver.

We were so glad we got to meet and hang out with some Ledgies. For the ones we didn't get to meet, I'm sure there will be another time.

We got a bunch of pictures. I'll need to find out how to post them here.

Oh ok.I think that was the time with Vanessa was with her.15-30 min is about average for Stevie.I just want to get a feel of the time when she came aboard .Buffer time incase I'm late getting there or finding my seat.Only once I got a chance to see Chris Issacs when he was on tour with Stevie. That time was the flooded Jones Beach show.Ever then I was so pisted off about trying getting down to the front to my seat. But the security told us to sit up at the dry end.by that time .I was unglued and upset and did not enjoy Chris's set.the other shows I missed his set.If it was another artist .I probably say lets go home.

Just got back--what a trip! I feel so blessed to have seen Stevie at Red Rocks. I can check it off the bucket list now. Others have made more detailed comments than I can, but I'll share what I can recall from my haze of Nicks-induced euphoria.
"Soldier's Angel" was probably the highlight of the show for me--in large part because it was the most changed from the Wiltern. I didn't think she'd do it without Lindsey, and was terrified that Waddy would substitute if she did, so her performance with Sharon and Lori was a lovely surprise. It had a much softer feel than the album version.
And the atmosphere was astonishing, of course. Especially by the end: "We've summoned the wind!"

I loved our ledge-fests--what a fantastic group! There were a few I wish I'd gotten the chance to talk to more, but I had a great time at the Hard Rock and at Randy's house. A special thanks to Randy for opening his home to us. You and Rose were wonderful, and I loved your friends and neighbors (especially Carolyn!).
And to Christopher--I shudder to think what insane things I must have spurted out last night, but I haven't laughed that hard in a while. You and Sean are the tops.

Live review: Stevie Nicks @ Red Rocks Amphitheatre
By Ray Mark Rinaldi | August 10th, 2011 |

Stevie Nicks is on the road pushing her best new album in two decades and she wasn’t about to let the crowd held captive at Red Rocks Amphitheatre Tuesday night get away without hearing it — a lot of it. The veteran rocker, whose iconic compositions “Landslide” and “Rhiannon” are as familiar as the national anthem, loaded this kick-off show to her latest tour with six tunes from the listenable new disc “In Your Dreams.”

That’s an unusual move, but it made for a fine evening under the stars at Red Rocks and allowed Nicks to step away from the cliches that have defined her career. This night wasn’t about tambourines with flowing ribbons (though she banged a few) and it wasn’t about her trademark whirling dervish bit (though she spun a few times during “Stand Back”). And it wasn’t even about the whole gypsy get up (though she she was done over in lacey things and changed from a sparkly red shawl to a sparkly gold one for the song “Gold Dust Woman”).

.
It was more about Stevie the songwriter. Nicks saved up her best efforts for the fresh “Annabel Lee,” the country-fied “For What It’s Worth,” the poppy “Secret Love,” and mostly, for the anthemic “Soldier’s Angel,” a song she wrote after a visit with ailing soldiers at a military hospital.

Fans gave her the benefit of the doubt — even if those songs didn’t inspire as much dancing and arm-waving as the familiar tunes they paid to hear. It helped that Red Rocks was cooperating. The night was balmy and clear and just as Nicks launched into her finale, a pumped-up “Edge of Seventeen,” the wind kicked up big-time swirling around the stage. Nicks knew to make the most of it. She leaned in, let hair and her ribbons and her voice fly, and delivered a high-energy version of her rock’n’roll hit that was pure Stevie.

I thought the show was really excellent. I have some video up on youtube. The account name is granitedog. Some are still being processed, but should be up soon. The unprocessed ones are not labeled yet. I've only listened to snippets and I'm disappointed with the sound quality on some of them. Oh well.. A new camera might be in order.

Former Fleetwood Mac legend takes the stage on Tuesday
August 10, 2011
Credit:Josh Barrett, Ignite Images.

When someone like Stevie Nicks comes to Denver, the only place worthy of her classic hits to be performed is at an equally legendary venue like Red Rocks Amphitheatre. And so on Tuesday night, the two legends were joined as the former Fleetwood Mac star took to the stage, and played a set that showcased her timeless talent, at a timeless venue.

Stevie played a mix of her classic hits all the way from the 70’s to her latest album “In Your Dreams,” which, not surprisingly, appeared on Billboards charts at number six in July, and has had numerous raving revues. The weather was warm and the skies were clear to make way for a perfect night with Stevie and her fans.

Starting things off was Michael Grimm, winner of season 5 of “America’s Got Talent.” Grimm played a set of soul-filled songs that seemed to warm up the crowd well. Then it was time for Stevie to take the stage, immediately jumping into playing hits like “Landslide” and “Stand Back,” which were surely the crowd favorites of the evening.

But the crowd seemed to enjoy some of Stevie’s new work as well, with songs like “Secret Love,” which is a song the Grammy winner wrote for the Fleetwood record “Rumours” but did not make the final cut for the album. Fans soaked in the voice many seemed so familiar with, as well as enjoyed a classic night on the rocks.—Josh Barrett, Special to Metromix

Anyway, she sounded great, from what I've seen so far :) I watched Soldier's Angel with the girls. It wasn't quite as riveting as it was with LB (I was hanging on their every word when watching the Wiltern performance) but it was still very good.

Just watched some of the videos on Youtube. Looks like Stevie got her hair trimmed.

Anyway, she sounded great, from what I've seen so far :) I watched Soldier's Angel with the girls. It wasn't quite as riveting as it was with LB (I was hanging on their every word when watching the Wiltern performance) but it was still very good.

I've just been trying to find Soldiers Angel at Red Rocks on YouTube, would you mind posting it on here if it's not any trouble.. or point me in the right direction Thanks heaps:wavey:

Now that I'm back home in California, I can write up a real post about my Red Rocks experience.

First of all, it was so great to see so many old friends and meet many new ones! Grace, Ed, Anna, Liam, Kim, Chris, Shawn, Curtis and Marlene -- it was a pleasure as usual. For those that I just met (David, Cammie, Deanna, Matt, Randy, Rose, and, of course, my beautiful Jannie), I am so glad we got to spend some time together! I'm sure I'll be back at Red Rocks in the future... that atmosphere was so incredible.

Randy, thank you so much for throwing that barbecue. I really enjoyed hanging out with you two, and I'll be sure to send you some more of my dad's wine! We all really appreciated your hospitality and we couldn't have asked for a better first night in Denver. Also, tell Rose that her pictures were AWESOME.

Everyone has said what I want to say, so I'll just reiterate that the wind during Edge and Love Is was BY FAR the coolest part of the night for me. That Edge was just ridiculous.... she really did fully immerse herself in that performance. Also, the wind fit perfectly with Love Is as well. I was bawling like a baby holding Chris and Jannie's hands. Couldn't have asked for a better end to the night.

Still reeling from last nights show. It was so magical, glorious, beautiful ...and still I sit here spellbound, memories flooding in fiery sequences. "Here I am DRAMATIC"!

I really enjoyed meeting ALL the Ledgies, new & reunited, before the concert. Not much to add to what others have all ready said, other than I thought it was a stellar show & Stevie was BRAVE to change up the set-list so much AND leave out "Landslide" She showed up with her big balls last night!! "Leather & Lace" was such a welcome and refreshing addition. She ripped apart "Soldiers Angel" with the girls. "Annabel Lee" & FWIW sounded ready made for the stage. And I agree Dani, "Rhiannon" came back to life last night!

Sure, the Stevie theatrics (spinning, dancing, tambo jams, wardrobe changes) were kept to a minimum, but that only brought forth and highlighted Stevie's genius and craft as a singer/songwriter at this stage in her career, still unparalleled without any distractions. Stevie simply does not need all that anymore. I really walked away from this Red Rocks concert with a strong intuition that Stevie really seems to be in a peaceful, harmonious plane right now. Anyone on the fence about seeing Stevie on the "In Your Dreams" tour needs to get out and go to this show. Will this ever come again?

Jannie, It was a pleasure meeting you & sharing the "Edge" & "Love Is" moments w/ you & Dani when the winds came up - which only added to the atmosphere & drama as Mathew (KarmaContestant) so aptly described in his post earlier today.
"Crazy men, crazy women, crying out for love!!"

Dani, Ed & Grace...what can I say? It was a pleasure winding down after the concert almost till dawn...sharing stories, music and most of all so much laughter!! Ed, I beg you, you've gotta post that picture you captured of Stevie enveloped in the white crazy wind.

That is all for now.

Peace~

What an A M A Z I N G performance. And I don't say those words lightly

Sung with thought, with time, with grace i guess you'd say.
I wasn't a fan of this song much, till i saw her perform it for her birthday show, and then it started to settle in. I think i also read a review somewhere about how she sings it from four peoples perspective or something to the like... and that made me see it in another light.

This i guess is what a feeling song is about. How rare a treat for us to see Stevie have a song that means something to her after over 30 years of performing. When we think of her losing the passion, losing the zest which naturally happens to all things when repeated and in time, we see her sing this.. i'm moved, and i'm in love. This is connection.

I just wait and hold a little bit of breath for when she comes to Melbourne and the rest of Australia in Nov/Dec

So, i just went to see her first thow of this tour. It was AMAZING! unbelievable. After her first song (stand back) she came out and thanked RED ROCKS, saying THanks to that night (the red rocks show which was recorded in 86' was her last show she performed while on cocaine) - anyhow she said something to the effect of " thanks to that night, she has so many memories she holds dear, and she thanked red rocks for being so alive because of that show. THe show changed her life. It nearly made me cry. the weather was perfect, and when time came for her to sing " Edge of Seventeen" (which by the way was not her last song) the wind picked up, almost like it was bing controlled by the music. It was SICK! everybody was in awe! Great show, and great people there in Morrison Colorado! Lorin

Personally, I was concerned about the handicapped people in the front row during the Edge Walk. At this point, it should be cut. It creates more and more problems as the years go on. Someone (maybe Stevie) will be seriously hurt if all the pushing and shoving continues.

She has to at RR. The stage level is only a few inches above the front row floor level, and the gap is too wide for her to stay onstage and still be able to reach people. I know..I've been there, done that.

They have made the front row handicapped only (well, 95% on Tuesday) at RR. If people were allowed to rush the stage (and some tried), someone could have knocked an oxygen tank over, pulled out a tube, or knocked someone over. Coming from my nurse side, not worth it.

ITA about the safety issue - my post showed up after the other replies. I was replying to why she has to come "off" the stage at RR, which really isn't much of a stage to begin with...last time I was there was the Crystal Visions tour. I was on the left side. They didn't have the entire front of the front row reserved for handicapped, I believe it was only on the right side. And they didn't do wristbands either, we had a chat with security before the show and they knew we'd be rushing during HSML. After the rail got full, they wouldn't let anyone else come down - it was actually very orderly, without any pushing or shoving. I got the 2-hand-hold from Stevie AND a hug. :D

The drunks were as bad as anything in Dublin. I have video of the Edge walk from red rocks and I could barely stand in place to take it, because of being knocked around left and right. One woman crawled on her hands and knees and tried to shove me out of the way like a bull! I nearly fell over the rope and onto whoever was in front of me. It gave me great pleasure to wave to the guards and point to her and watch them pounce on her.

You can see what it was like halfway thru the end of this video.

Gotta agree. Although I am a spoiled brat and have had great seats and shaken her hand numerous times, rude and drunk people upset me. Some nutjob at the Wiltern decided right before Edge that she had to come up from three rows back, pushing and shoving, because she had flowers for Stevie. Same here - my favorite spot to be in the pit is a few feet behind the sardine pack at the stage. I get a LOT more eye contact that way, the sound is better, and there's a lot more elbow room. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a few drinks at a show, and one doesn't need to be drunk to be a rude asshole.

I believe the issue was safety as you pointed out. There were a lot of wheelchairs up front. Compound that with if someone in a wheelchair gets trampled, it's more likely that the repercussions directed at both performer and venue would be far more serious. Not that anyone getting trampled is not serious, but lawyers would be like "you didn't take extra precaution to all the handicapped".

i've grabbed her hand so many times during the walk. i don't like to count the times she had gloves on though

Its one thing to sneak up(guilty!),but Ive never knocked anyone over to do it:shrug:

You are welcome. That camera is a casio exilim EX FH 100. I'm not sure I would recommend it. Its a pain to set up, though it does have excellent features. I will post some of the pictures I got with it later or tomorrow.

If you look at ROCKAHO1IC's videos from the unleashed wembley show, his sound quality and picture quality is much better than what I got. He uses a Canon PowerShot SD890 IS

Here is his video of silver springs for comparison

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gso304cEZeI

I'll check his vids out. Thanks for the camera info.I use a Nikon s550 .the video part lacks but the photos are great for what it is.The vids are not a Hidef like the ones showen on here. And yes keep them coming.

Personally, I was concerned about the handicapped people in the front row during the Edge Walk. At this point, it should be cut. It creates more and more problems as the years go on. Someone (maybe Stevie) will be seriously hurt if all the pushing and shoving continues.

They probably got trampled on.Was it like this at her other Red Rocks shows.

Trust me, I am nothing but grateful and have said only positive things about this show except that one comment. But when Stevie's 2 feet from you, about to shake your hand and a drunk person shoves you so hard that you nearly fall over, you'd be pissed too.

I cant blame you for being upset.I got zero tolerance with drunk people that cant hold their booze.I probably wack him.But I would keep my cool because I 'll be outside looking in.I dont need that on a Stevie concert.I think it was the CV tour Some a$$hole drunk next to me would not shutup.I stood up and told him shut the F&&*k up.and I said you are drunk.I was lucky he did obey and sit and behaved.10min later he got up and disappeared for good.Ban booze at shows.this would make things better for us and safety and security .

Metromix (Denver)

For the most part people are calm and Stevie loves the interaction with the fans so I dont know about cutting it. You get nuts for sure, but then again when I walk around Manhattan I encounter more nuts and drunks than I have ever encountered at a Stevie show:lol:.

I know when I finally got my chance in Vegas, nothing was stopping me, but I was in the section allowed. You've been able to both touch her and meet her, which is a lot more than most people could ever dream of.

Your reaction to only "briefly" touching her comes off a bit...entitled?

It's too bad there isn't a way to identify people who haven't gotten the opportunity to get a handshake during the Edge walk. Not being specific, but I've always thought that if you've been lucky enough to experience it a time or two you should let other people get the chance. Again though, I guess there isn't a way to separate the haves from the have nots. Also aside from the fans pushing and shoving to get up to the stage for the Edge walk, you get people who don't seem to want to let her go once they get a hold of her. It's not a meet and greet people, let her do her thing and others have a chance.

It's okay -- I've shaken her hand three other times during Edge walks, but this walk was special for a few reasons. For one, she was literally hugging people because she was on level ground with the audience. Two, I met her five days before so she probably would've recognized me. Oh well... that stolen opportunity definitely hurts but I have more than my fair share to be thankful for!

Now that I have "flown down from the mountain city," I can finally put this dizzying week/end into perspective. The trip was epic for all sorts of reasons, but Red Rocks was indeed the main course of my five-course (veggie) meal.

First of all, converging on Red Rocks was, as Stevie would say herself, a "happening." It becomes as much about the experience of being there in that mythical/magical setting and the camaraderie of the shared experience as the lady, her music and her aura. For a few moments on August 9, 2011, the world was a slightly less lonesome place.

Secondly, what can I say about everyone who came out to hang? Anna, Dani, Grace, Liam, Jannie, Christopher, Shawn... and everyone else... it was so much f***ing fun! I feel lucky to know you all. Thanks for helping to make this one of my most fun trips ever (altitude sickness notwithstanding).

But one thing I need to get off my chest... What the fork was up with the so-called "handicapped" front row section? Yes, there were a handful of people who visibly appeared to have major physical impairment, and I feel tremendously grateful that they were able to enjoy the show up front. But what of the rest of the 95% of the bozos up there dancing around, drinking and acting like total douche nozzles? Handicapped? Really? Last time I checked, bad plastic surgery is not a physical handicap! You know who you are!

Otherwise, I have little to add to what has already been said. Was this Stevie's best concert ever? Probably not. But was it the most special and magical? Hmmm... it's definitely up there. There is something to be said about looking out at the crowd and having flashbacks to a video I grew up watching. Those were the very same sandstone rocks of my post-adolescent dreams.

Oh, and a few of my better shots. Still trying to figure out how to use the new camera... videos to come hopefully soon.

Um, many of these people clearly gamed a system that was not intended to benefit them. I saw some hippie dude wheeling around a frail old woman who had to be at least in her 90s. Is she a Stevie fan? Possible, but not likely. Is the hippie dude wheeling her around a Stevie fan? Most definitely.

People in the front row had to get green bracelets, which meant they were handicapped or were assisting the handicapped. I know that immediately in front of me, EVERYONE was standing, jumping up and down and drinking- not exactly handicapped, and there were no wheelchairs or other physical implements to be found in my vicinity. I don't begrudge people from getting good seats; it happens to me all the time. I only begrudge people gaming the system and then acting like entitled sh**stains from their ill-gotten gains.

I wonder if this was the owner of the now-defunct Celebrity Vintage clothing store that used to be on Colfax Avenue in Denver, and then on Broadway. He was sitting in front of Curtis and I and his mother had a HUGE bouquet of roses. He got in a minor scuffle at one point because he kept pushing his mom closer and closer to the stage.

He's....a character. That's the nicest way I can put it.

Well, I got back this morning from Denver and I only have a few things I want to say. WHat an experience it was. This was my second time seeing her there (2005) and it was worth it, despite all the drama. I had a wonderful time hanging out with Grace, Ed, Dani, and Anna. Ed, a very special thank you for being willing to pick me up and drop me off from the bus station. WIthout you buddy, I probably couldn't have gone, so THANK YOU!

Well, thank you for coming! It was an awesome experience!

That would be him LOL. I was right behind him. Funny thing is she kept telling him to sit down because he kept leaving for beer and was getting progressively intoxicated as the night went on. During Edge he basically dragged her up there, I felt so sorry for her because she appeared very frail :distress:.

Thanks to everyone who's posted reviews, photos, and videos (yes, Stevie, "rude" and "distracting" VIDEOS lol). I went and had a wonderful time. Red Rocks is a magnificent venue. I sadly did not get to touch Stevie's hand, but I loved watching her come down off that stage and "connect" with a lucky few that way. I hope it's never done away with.

The biggest moment for me, despite the fact that I didn't get to go up during the Edge Walk, was still the song Edge of Seventeen. Stevie dressed all in white, giving it her all, being absolutely fierce... and then at the end the wind coming up and adding that extra bit of power to put it over the top.... it gave me chills. I'll never forget it!

I can’t stand it on the album, but it does sound better live, if YouTube is any indication. The vocal on “Moonlight”, however, is so good on the album that she doesn’t come close to matching it live.

aww i ♥ the song on the album:shrug:

It's too bad there isn't a way to identify people who haven't gotten the opportunity to get a handshake during the Edge walk. Not being specific, but I've always thought that if you've been lucky enough to experience it a time or two you should let other people get the chance. Again though, I guess there isn't a way to separate the haves from the have nots. Also aside from the fans pushing and shoving to get up to the stage for the Edge walk, you get people who don't seem to want to let her go once they get a hold of her. It's not a meet and greet people, let her do her thing and others have a chance.

paleshadow im with you... for those people who have had the distinct priviledge and honor to meet her, especially more than a couple of times.. im downright jealous:laugh: but i do wish there was some way for them to be able to identify and help people who have never had that pleasure:nod:

I have been away from the Ledge for a while and on traveling right now so did not have time to fully get up to speed on the Red Rocks show. Did Stevie really do Highwayman and did anyone get this on video? Sorry, if this was posted before, but if someone has a link to video, can it be reposted? Thanks.

The new Margi Kent outfits squish down her boobs big time. She looks really thin but I think everyone misses the twins

Speaking of -- what do you guys think of all the new outfits? Personally I am SO HAPPY that the Rhiannon wings are back.... think about how incredible they looked during "Soldier's Angel" at Sturgis. The white is beautiful as well.

I love the new Margi Kent outfits! The sleeves are awesome! In particular, I love the black ones pictured above. Also loved the brown pleated number she wore in the IYD promo shot with the Roland piano. Guessing that was a new Margi number? The white outfit... "oh it's so romantic" -the corset and gloves make it look RenFaire-ish. My local vintage clothing boutique has been pushing those corsets for about the last year.

Dreamy outfits, for sure. Well suited for this tour.

I am not in love with them at all. Some pieces just look to be waaaaaay too much going on at one time. Rushing on sleeves and busy and that busy ass skirt....... Not my cup of tea! I would have put her in something totally different if she's trying to bring back the Victorian period. But thats just me........

Agreed. The white looks very pretty from the front, but looking at it from the side, the corset rests right about her belly weight, making her look bigger than she really is.

She's still beautiful.

Yeah the clincher is no good. To me, it makes her look square shaped and she's so not! But overall auntie is still gorgeous!

I actually agree that there's too much going on. She looks gorgeous from the front (and from afar) but I agree with Curtis' comment about the corset on the white outfit. Also, what the hell is up with those gloves? She wasn't wearing them at the signing and her hands looked beautiful.

Just now getting around to posting something. I had a great time at Red Rocks. I love seeing shows there, it is so beautiful. I would see Stevie there again, given the chance. The atmosphere is just unreal.

It was nice to meet everyone. Although there were so many at Hard Rock that I didn't formally introduce myself to everyone. I don't think I had a chance to speak with Ed, Grace or Anna, I believe. I was at the other end of the table. I would have liked to have chatted with everyone more but there just wasn't much time. I was only in for the day - maybe next time! It was great to finally meet Dee. Good to see Curtis again and meet his friends Kim and Emily. Nice to meet Jannie and Mathew (who generously offered to give me a ride back downtown, thanks!) and Dani.

I did take quite a few pictures but my camera was somehow set to the small setting. Not sure how that happened. If any of the pictures are good, I will post them. I did get a few of Stevie's hair and streamers blowing in the crazy wind that picked up during Edge. I had second row center seats and could not have had a better seat if I had hand chosen it.

The crowd was a little surly and I was worried about the handicapped people in the front row getting hurt if people rushed the stage. I was lucky and obtained a set list after the show. I hope she doesn't change it up too much. I was so happy that Landslide was not in the set. Glad I was able to see the first show!

 White is a nice relief from her all-black attire. But the mummy reference hits too close to home. The dress looks like a replica of one her black bondage-style dresses.

She should dress in softer, flowing and flattering clothes, like she wore in the past. I prefer she looked more like a bedsheet than an ancient mummy.

Remember when we all used to look at Stevie and admire her outfits? We were all so in awe of everything she wore. These days though we are collectively embarrassed for her. Last weekend when someone snapped a pic of one legwarmer drooped down and the other still up. Oooy I feel so bad for her.

Sad, but so true. Surely Margi could come up with some more beautiful stuff as in decades past. Where are the pretty chiffon skirts? The shawls and beautiful jackets? Topped off with of course those beautiful boots? For 3 or more years now all we get is stiffer fabrics that don't move and all those ruffles.

And I do not like those biker leather gloves with the dangly things. I don't care what designer made them. Go back to the long nylon or something, with a nice huge sparkly bracelet ala TITN tour, or tours past. Those looks aren't dated in the least and are timeless Stevie.

I think the concepts are nice, but the execution is poor. For example, the bodice of the new cream-colored dress is too high up- they are actually cinching in the boobalahs, which ideally should be allowed to spill over the top of the bodice. From what I can tell, Stevie still has a nice decolletage, which she mostly keeps hidden these days. I think she could still rock a bustier top if she wanted.
