I don't know if this has been posted before, but I just discovered the band U.S. Royalty. They did a pretty sweet live cover of Wild Heart, merging the dressing room demo and the album version.

Also, I'm in lurve with their debut album "Mirrors".

Agreed. This one is hard to top. Simply brilliant dahlings!
Edit: They aren't really comparable IMO because the Gentlemen Reg one is more of a parody and the US Royalty guys are honestly trying to cover the song, I think?

Yes, I've heard the Gentleman Reg cover before, was never all that impressed by it. I like how U.S. Royalty uses more lyrics from the album version of Wild Heart. They put more of their own spin on it instead of just copying it word for word (frame for frame).

I saw US Royalty when they opened for 3EB a couple months ago. They performed Wild Heart and i almost had a heart attack!!!! Of course no one i was with could understand why i was flipping out..i was like "It's the dressing room version"!!! So i met the band after, and bought there CD and tried to chat with the lead singer..explaining i was a huge Stevie fan too and he was just like,"yea,so are we" in kind a snotty way...and i was like o....k but anyway..still very cool experience :)

That was pretty neat. I love the Dressing Room version so much, so I love anything that it is incorporated into.

oooh crap! im sorry. honestly i originally only listened to part of it, i stopped right when the singer took a break to drink some beer (right before the part where he sings the actual lyrics part lol)
after listening to the whole thing, i agree with you. :D

They truly are. Mirrors has a great all-around late '60s/early '70s vibe to it. Great melodies, great music.

Okay PIPE DREAM TIME!!! Wouldn't it be awesome if Stevie had heard these covers of the Wild Heart/Can't Go Back hybrid and started performing it at shows? And what if Buckingham Nicks did a tour together to promote the release of Buckingham Nicks on CD and did it together? And they could also do some sort of hybrid of Eyes of the World and Enchanted since they both came out of the same jam.

I've wanted Stevie to do Wild Heart live for years. I'm still holding out hope she'll do it.
I did tweet them and tell them Stevie should hear their version.

Certainly not. While I understand they're paying homage, I'm weirded out by it.

Wild Heart would be the perfect opener for Stevie's show

This is all just more bizarre than I can even try to put into words. Bizarre in the best sense of the word, mind you, but I'm just stunned. Is that video so widely known? I had absolutely no idea. Now I see why Stevie is a little shy about putting stuff out there before she wants to. Imagine, you are sitting in a dressing room getting make up done and inventing a new version to one of your songs, just having fun with your friends, and 30 years later there are bands doing that version of the song (which you probably don't even remember singing) and people doing parodies of it. Anyway, I liked the US Royalty version, not so much the parody. But I'm just stunned that this is all even out there. So when will we hear some band doing Watchdevil? :)

I'm not really sure that the video is incredibly well-known to the general public, but it obviously is among fans. Seems like it's kind of the holy grail to a lot of people.
A while ago this video showed up on my tumblr dash and whoever posted it said, "I didn't even know I liked Stevie Nicks when I saw this, but I was practically crying by the end." I only remember because I was so amused at the power of that video haha. It is pretty awesome, especially BECAUSE it was completely candid.
