I hope so anyway. Especially since he's playing with Mike. I hope as each new player comes to the stage that they just stay there and jam along with all the rest of the players.

I really want to see Lindsey play on Love Is.:p

It's either un-Stevie, or Stevie-original-recipe.

The difference there is that Stevie didn't have a wealth of songs from her solo career back when she did the WWD tour. There were her Fleetwood Mac songs and her Bella Donna songs and a couple of soundtracks she could draw from. She HAD to put out what would nowadays be considered a bold set.

Now that she has six studio records on her own and a boatload of material with Fleetwood Mac, even songs she didn't have back then, she has played it much safer. Even her TISL tour didn't have EIGHT new songs. That was the anomaly until tonight.

At that early point in time her solo career, aside from her Fleetwood Mac songs, her Bella Donna songs were the entire extent of her solo catalog! "I Need to Know" was her first cover song.

Let's hope "Soldier's Angel" gets retired after tonight and is promptly replaced with either "New Orleans", "You May Be The One" or "Everybody Loves You". Must say I was surprised that "ELY" wasn't included, especially since Dave will be present. "Italian Summer" would have been a nice addition, but I guess that last note may have presented problems.
I can only hope "Soldier's Angel" is being trotted out because of Lindsey being in attendance and that it will afterwards be forever banished.
I would have dropped "Sorcerer" before "Landslide" and definitely not have performed "Fall From Grace" with the inclusion of "Ghosts Are Gone" - it could have made room for another great new track! That said, I am blown away by Stevie doing eight new tracks and pray this trend continues throughout this and future tours.

I love Soldier's Angel, but not sure about it being on the setlist. Seems like one of those songs that won't translate very good live , especially if Lindsey is not there.

I'm not going to be as dismissive about Soldier's Angel live until I hear it. It was probably peformed just because of Lindsey's involvement and guest appearance. (It's obstensively a Buckingham/Nicks song) I'm sure it will likely not appear on a permanent set list. That said, it's an album track that has grown on me with each listen.

It would be nice to hear New Orleans, You May Be The One, and Everybody Loves You. I hope that the wild and rabid applause/response the audience gave to the new songs gives Stevie the affirmation that new songs can be performed with confidence and that her long time fans welcome that. How can we get that message to her???

Now how long before we get to hear this show?

I don't understand the hate for Soldier's Angel either. It's got a different sound and its more organic. The lyrics are sorta strange, but that's nothing new. Song goes good with Doll Parts.

My top 5 from IYD goes like this:

1. Ghosts are Gone
2.Soldiers Angel
3. Moonlight
4. In Your Dreams
5. For What Its Worth

Its like she read my mind when making this set list. If she does an actual tour tho, You soldiers angel haters can relax, shes obviously only going to do it when Lindsey's present.

I'm kind of shocked she kept FFG with Ghosts in the set, but good for her. The break down of songs by album is:

IYD- 8
TISL- 3
Rumours- 2
BD- 1
WH- 1
FM- 1
Covers- 0

And some will still complain that she kept Sorcerer and Fall From Grace instead of adding Talk to Me and Rooms on Fire.

Stewart said his tour with Stevie follows the release of his album, "The Blackbird Diaries."

I was supposed to be at the NY show, but I love the CD, the documentary, the videos, etc and her that she served cupcakes at her birthday while those who doubted her have to eat crow. 8 new songs played; a Lindsey duet Hopefully, Reprise will package a DVD of the show along with the documentary for a special Sour-Puss Fan Edition of "In Your Dreams" titled "IN YOUR FACE."

Is that indeed fact, or just or just a fan's wishful thinking? I hope Dave will be able to follow through, and provide us with the documentary and the entire show, preferably both as a DVD and CD ( complete live performances).

Fall From Grace?
Snooze.
Seems like a waste - so many other choices for the end of the set.
But otherwise - I love that she did so many new ones.
Finally - a break from the same old tired set.

The only thing missing was New Orleans.

A thought just occurred to me that in addition to the eight videos that have been filmed thus far (Secret Love; Wide Sargasso Sea; Moonlight; Annabel Lee; Everybody Loves You; You May Be The One; Italian Summer and Cheaper Than Free), four of the live clips (For What It's Worth; In Your Dreams; Soldier's Angel and Ghosts Are Gone) could just about give us a video album. That leaves only one track, New Orleans, to not have a potential video of sorts. I haven't included My Heart since it is only a bonus track, but considering that the recording sessions were recorded, both it and NO could have their own clips if required. The mind boggles...

Just got home.
What an amazing, fresh show. Unreal.
Love the cupcakes...they were super cute.

Also, sitting around the balcony was Mick Fleetwood, Andy Garcia (and his daughter), and Perez Hilton. That's all I saw as I was so focused on the show.

I have totally lost my voice. Just gone.

It's not like people don't have a reason to doubt her set lists lack of spontaneity. ;) That aside, I'm pleasantly surprised by this evenings developments. Now if only she had the cajones to take this set list out on the road. If she goes on tour with Dave, it might just be a possibility. Hey, do y'all think "Peter" is really Tom Petty??

No, but Stevie really faked the audience out when she was introducing FWIW. She said that those of us who have followed her career for years realize that she is an honorary heartbreaker. The audience immediately started screaming for TP. She said that after 30 years, Tom himself gave her a "Heartbreaker" badge. She said she went and got on a bus with Tom and the Heartbreakers, becoming part of their band. She went on tour with them and had the time of her life, "let your imagination take that any way it likes," she kidded. Then she said, "Now I want to introduce you to a real heartbreaker, Mike Campbell!" He was definitely not who the audience was expecting.

I didn't know who Peter was either. She probably doesn't know his last name because she was just like, "oh and there's Peter," when he walked on stage with Dave.

yeah if Buckingham is there, I'm kinda surprised.

It was funny because I was in the loge feeling annoyed with my seat and then Lindsey walked in right in front of me. I couldn't believe it. He actually was sitting on the Mezzanine level, but he entered on the loge and then stepped down. So, I was super excited. Then Mick appeared, but Mick didn't pass me. He entered Mezzanine level.

They sat for a few songs and then I saw Mick and Lindsey leave and I felt that they were going to join Stevie on stage, but only Lindsey did. Mick came out for the final bow, but he didn't perform.

After SA, I actually thought that Lindsey might hang around and do Landslide with her. I'm glad it didn't end up being in the setlist at all.

I would have dropped "Sorcerer" before "Landslide" and definitely not have performed "Fall From Grace" with the inclusion of "Ghosts Are Gone" - it could have made room for another great new track!

I agree with this. No need for FFG. At least there was no Rock and Roll. That's the song I'd like to see banished forever. Michele

No signs of pneumonia tonight. Stevie came out with a forceful voice, confident, funny, happy and energetic.

Chris Nicks introduced his sister, just like their dad used to do in the past.

All of the songs sounded great, new and old. After Stand Back Stevie said that the Wiltern was the first place FM rehearsed . She said she sat on the floor making feather earrings there and she had no idea what would happen over the next 35 years. But the stage looks the same and that's just proof that some things never change.

She says that she is going to tell us stories about each of her songs, because that's something that she never gets a chance to do. But after 3 hours in, if we get tired of it, we have her permission to say, "Stevie, you're going off on a tangent. Come back!"

She says she wrote Annabel Lee when she was 17. Afterwards, she says that it was nerve-wracking singing it for the first time. Although it's not the first time for her. She's sung it a million times since she was 17. Still it was frightening doing it for a crowd.

For Dreams she said that this concert was going to be a blend of old and new songs, because all of her songs and all of Lindsey's songs and all of Fleetwood Mac's songs are part of the same thread [yeah, I kind of noticed that myself].

She said that both Sorcerer and Moonlight were about the same thing and written at the same time, so they are partner songs. They're both about the Lady from the Mountain. Moonlight is about both her and Lindsey and Edward and Bella.

GDW seemed to have a new guitar riff for Waddy in it. After it was over Stevie said that song changes with the venue. She said she did it in New Mexico and it took on the mood of the Indians and she herself became an insane Indian girl while singing it. She says it's funny how you bring your songs from place to place and they evolve with the setting.

For Ghosts Are Gone, as she begins to discuss Dave she says she sure hopes he's there! She tells us that because of Dave this has been the happiest year in her entire life and she's prouder of this record than anything else she has ever done. She considers him a national treasure. Stevie grabbed the tambo to accompany Dave's playing.

For Soldiers Angels she said she went to Walter Reed and before she knew it she had been there for 7 hours and it was time to leave and they left by the Medivac entrance, with the ambulances rushing in and she became hysterical. She said she went in that hospital a girl and came out a woman -- a MOM. She went home and knew she had to do something for those children in the hospital. So, she started giving them and their families all ipods.

She also wrote Soldier's Angel for them in 2005, but she didn't have a title for it until 4 years later in 2009 when she was in London. She was there when 7 British men were killed in Iraq and London went crazy with mourning. The frenzy on the streets, the little old ladies. It was very much like seeing London during World War 2 [um, no it was not Stevie, because London lost their fighters, but the city itself was not under attack. There were no air raids. You did not have to take shelter. This was not white cliffs of Dover time]. But that's where she got the chorus for the song. That's where the "four years" and "what is righteous" part came from.

So, she finished the song in 2009, but she didn't record it because it never sounded right. Finally she said to Dave that they had to get Lindsey, because he is the only one who could do the song justice. So she said she called Lindsey up and he agreed to do the song. She introduces him as her nearest and dearest friend and her partner in crime.

When he comes out they hug and as they pull apart, she reaches for him again and presses her forehead against his. They perform very movingly, Lindsey's voice just a tad more strident than on the record. At the end, they turn their mics to each other and sing with eyes locked and it's much more effective than it is when they do that same bit in FM shows (it seemed especially horrible on [I]Say Goodbye). It's just very stirring to have them singing together and to each other, but not to each other. United for a cause, against senselessness, making a righteous statement. I thought it worked very well.

Lindsey walks towards Stevie's mic for the bow. They hold hands and he reaches to kiss her, but she has bent down. So, he kisses her hand instead. When her head rises, he sort of moves to grab it and kiss her right temple. She leans into the kiss offering up her cheek, but they don't connect face to face, until he has started pulling away.

For IYD she says that when they talked about doing an album, she scoffed and said, "in your dreams, you must be out of your mind," because they never thought it could really happen. Dave comes back out and she says, "here's Dave and Peter too. This stage just has handsome talented guitarists everywhere. What can I say?"

She introduces For What It's Worth by pointing out that she is an honorary heartbreaker. The intro has everyone excited that TP is about to take the stage, but it's Mike Campbell who is the "real heartbreaker" to her honorary one. She says she got to tour with the Heartbreakers on a bus and she had the time of her life. She says "take that however you want." She says FWIW is about someone who was there for her when she needed them and saved her life.

C'mon you naysayers, admit that FWIW is hot. Sounded good live, didn't it?

For Secret Love she says it's the one song that she really can't remember who it's about. She doesn't know who the "ancient creature" is, but whoever he is, he got himself a song. Ok guys, just by calling him an "ancient creature" I take that as an inside joke. I think that is something she would call Mick, when teasing. I think the song is about Mick and she doesn't want to say so because it was 1975 and she and Lindsey were still together.

Anyway, she says how she got it off of Youtube because it was probably stolen from her and they put it there. They probably took it and copied it without her ever knowing it was gone, she surmises. Or maybe she gave it to them, because she used to give out her songs back then. Back then, she explains, if someone asked for a copy of something, she'd just blithely give them a cassette with 9 or 10 songs on it. Anyway, Stevie says they stole Secret Love, but it was just her playing piano, so it wasn't very good.

Seriously, she is making me hate Cheaper Than Free. I just can't take it anymore. Why didn't she and Dave perform ELY for their duet? She has to tell the whole, stupid Reese story again and is so excited that they caught that historic moment on tape. She can't believe that stellar idea came from little Reese's blonde head . She says that Reese has a really nice voice and they should make the song a three part song some times. Dave says that Reese is in the audience. Stevie says she knows, but Reese is hiding.

So, after Reese had that Albert Einstein moment, they decided to write the song. Dave goes to London and calls and asks Stevie if she has the words (poem). She says she has 4 lines. Well, he wants the whole song, because he has written all the music. So, in 30 minutes she writes the rest of that dreck. He puts it to his music and he gets the completed song back to her by 5:00, because that's just how they roll.

So, they sing and when they get to the part where they're going, "What's brighter than a smile? You my child. My child. My child . . . " I think I am going to die. My intestines are turning inside out.

EO17 is on fire and I know all the Ledgies at the stage were ecstatic about the Edge Walk. When the body guard came down and grabbed Stevie by the waist, we knew what was coming.

For [I]Love Is she again talks about dumping BATB and HAEWAFY. Lori saw the demo tape and Stevie realized that it was the last of her piano songs. It's about someone who was with her briefly, but saved her life.

She thanks the audience for "putting up with" 3 hours of music and says she will remember this night for the rest of her life. She tells everyone "strangers and non-strangers" to come onto the stage. When Dave comes out, he keeps motioning for someone else to join them on stage. Mick emerges to great applause. He bows to Stevie and she bows to him.

Stevie says that she wishes every night could be like this, that she could be on stage with all of the people she loves and then they could all just get on a train with her and go to the next city. She wishes she could take all of the performers and every one of us in the audience on a train with her to San Francisco. [Why San Francisco?]

She leaves the stage hand and hand with Waddy, as if feeling she is leaving someone out, she reaches behind her back and holds out her other hand for someone to grab. Dave takes it, but I wasn't sure if she wasn't reaching for Mick, since he is the one who usually walks her off the stage at FM concerts.

All in all, a glorious night. Wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow. Hope there's a DVD.

Stevie was extraordinary and threw herself into every song--she was just ON every moment.

Her stamina was incredible, because even when she commented that exhaustion was setting in, it clearly didn't. Except for the intro to EO17, she really never rested. She may have scurried off stage to grab a shawl, but there were no real breaks for her, not like we would see in other shows.

The show was a near religious experience! Although she did indeed do 8 songs off the album, this was dubbed as more of a record release concert and thus I doubt a "normal" tour would retain that many new songs. Don't get me wrong, the woman rocked like I haven't seen her in years (although it makes sense because she had a lot of industry people there and my guess is she "turns it on" more when this happens but nevertheless she was incredible.

I loved the setlist! Although I am surprised there was no Landslide especially with Lindsey there but thank the almighty god, there were NO covers! I do wish New Orleans was performed as that song is special for me but hey I've got no right to complain as that was the best concert I've seen by her in ages. I do still wonder about Stand Back being the opener but for this night it was so nice to see her come out and have so much fun right off the bat. I have not been sold about Fall From Grace being in the set but as of tonight, I am! That song needs to stay and I think people are missing some incredible builds and nuances in that song that makes it so awesome now on stage. Soldier's Angel is another example in that it is the one song I had skipped on the record from time to time but seeing it live tonight (at least with Lindsey) was incredible and made that song come alive for me more than it does on a cd.

With Ghosts Are Gone, Stand Back, In Your Dreams, Fall From Grace, and Edge of 17 - she finally has a well-paced show with enough songs that demonstrated she really is a "rocker" as opposed to a mid-tempo/balladeer who sings covers to rock - I Need To Know, Face The Promise, You Wreck Me, Rock N Roll, So You Wanna Be A Rock N Roll Star, etc...

I too would have wanted to hear Everybody Loves You, Wide Sargasso Sea (Which could have been epic), Italian Summer, and You May Be The One but the one blemish to me was the omission of New Orleans like I said. And I would have dropped Sorcerer as well as Landslide in order to get another new track for this show. Although, I would have loved to hear Landslide tonight mainly because of her birthday.

But as mentioned, I predict that some of those songs will be dropped as it was more a release celebratory concert. I can see dropping Soldier's Angel and Cheaper Than Free for sure at the very least.

She clearly had a blast on Ghosts Are Gone and her and Dave have excellent chemistry.

There was a sign that said it was professionally recorded and may be used for commercial purposes. Mick Fleetwood was there but didn't play. That's all I can think of for now.

BTW from what I remember, London was bombed by the Germans in WW2. If not London, I know parts of England were.

That's what I meant. What Stevie saw in 2009 was not like London in WW2. In 2009, the city was grieving over the loss in Iraq, but it was not under attack like it was during WW2, so her comparison was a little overly dramatic.

I meant to talk about Stevie's band introductions which were very cute.

When she got to Jimmy she said she was driving and picked him up off the street, hair and all. And after that she joked that she was driving and picked all the rest of them up too. In Puerto Rico, in East L. A. (for Carlos). She says Carlos has been her confidante. For Ricky she said that she was driving -- even though she doesn't drive -- and she stopped, then she said actually she didn't even stop, Ricky just jumped in the car without her even coming to a stop.

When she got to Sharon and Lori she said, "a girl walks into a bar . . ." she says it's been a long time since she's been in a bar and Lori said it hasn't been that long. She says she meant them in 1979 and they have sung together since 1981. She says "a woman in my position" [what position is that?] could get new singers each tour, but she chooses not to, because she thinks "Stevie, Sharon and Lori" are magic together. So, she has kept them with her, the girls, even though it has not always been easy to stay together. In fact, Lori left them for 18 years, even though she continued to do albums with her.

She says Waddy for last and says she picked him up when "I was driving down Olympic. Actually, Lindsey and I were driving down Olympic." She said Waddy was a friend of Keith's and she and Lindsey met all of Keith's friends. Waddy was the hottest session player in town, but he was still poor. He's been her musical director since 1981, her inspiration and her love.

A lot of London was near destroyed in WW2 - the docks were targeted and around 1.5 million homes bombed. It may shock people to know that over 20,000 people died in London during the Blitz.

Sorry for bringing the excitement down!

I haven't read all of the responses to this thread yet, but I want to write out my comments now and catch up later. It's 4AM so excuse me if I sound a bit disheveled.

Grace (mezzoforte) and I arrived at the Wiltern at 3:30AM and Amber (equeen1022) caught up with us a little before 5. The next people to arrive showed up around 6, and from then on, fans started to trickle in. We also met up with Ed (HejiraNYC), Anna (1sttimelongtime) and Lindsay (SapphireSister) but we met A LOT of people while standing in line. I wore my Stevie outfit to the show and that was a big hit with fans waiting in line.

At around 6PM, two different camera crews stepped out of the Wiltern. One was apparently for E! and the other was for the documentary. I was interviewed by both, and received pretty certain verification that I would make it into the documentary which is VERY exciting. Around the same time, I flirted with a security guard enough that he gave me a copy of the set list. Then, someone took a picture of it and posted it on here for you guys.

I was literally the first person in line, so I got to be smack dab in front of Stevie with no one in front of me. Before the show started, everyone saw Lindsey and Mick find their seats in the upper level, and people were cheering for them.

The show started around 8:10 and she opened with "Stand Back." We all immediately knew that this show was something quite different because she had SO much energy and her voice sounded FLAWLESS. I can't even explain it-- she was on f*cking fire the entire night. Then she played "Annabel Lee" which transferred BEAUTIFULLY to a live stage. "Moonlight" was absolutely gorgeous, and I love every second of it. For some reason, the chorus was less dramatic than it is on the album, which took away from the performance a bit, but she let out this crazy wail thing at the end of it which definitely made up for any slower parts of the song.

"Ghosts Are Gone" was a personal favorite for me. Dave came out and trotted around the stage, and it was great to see him having so much fun with her. At the end of the song, she ROCKED OUT with the tambourine in a way that I didn't think she was capable of anymore... Totally awesome. "Soldier's Angel" was another absolute favorite. Her moment with Lindsey before they started the song was absolutely beautiful and both of them were choking up tears in a fairly obvious way. It was even better live than on the record and I LOVE the album version. "In Your Dreams" was fun and again, she sounded fantastic but it wasn't a standout track for me. Keep in mind-- there wasn't a SINGLE boring or uninteresting song at this entire show.

"Rhiannon" had more passion than I've seen in a long time. We were all totally blown away by it because pretty much the entire night was like watching a different woman perform. Other than that, I only really have to comment on "For What It's Worth," which was exceptional. I shook her hand on the Edge walk and actually managed to talk to her (I have no idea how I keep doing this). We made eye contact and I said, "I want to say thank you for everything" and she squeezed my hand and said, "thank YOU for everything!" with a big smile. Bliss. And then of course she went into "Love Is" which was even more flawless than last time I saw her live in Santa Barbara.. and then we sang her happy birthday. At the end of the show, a security guy came up to me and handed me a copy of Stevie's setlist, apparently the one that was posted right in her sight. He said that he had seen me dancing all night and thought I deserved it :)

After the show, we hung out by the back entrance for 2 hours. Some guy thought I was a cute fan so he gave me a copy of a Rock A Little vinyl that he'd had signed by Mick! I met Sharon (got a picture) and Lori (briefly), and then we eventually saw Stevie drive out. She was sitting in the passenger's seat with her hair up and a dog on her lap, looking totally beat, but she still rolled down the window and waved at us.

This is a very, very condensed version and I know I'm forgetting something important but I'm about to pass out.... goodnight!

Spectacular setlist. Can't wait for the vids. FWIW will kill me, I'm sure. The only other song I can think of that I would have liked her to do is You May Be The One. But she truly did chose the best tunes off the album.

Michele

Her stamina was incredible, because even when she commented that exhaustion was setting in, it clearly didn't. Except for the intro to EO17, she really never rested. She may have scurried off stage to grab a shawl, but there were no real breaks for her, not like we would see in other shows.

Michele

Michele, as always - thanks for you excellent reviews! It's the next best thing to being there.

So, she finished the song in 2009,

Thank you for telling us that because I always wondered what she meant in the song when she sings 4 years later. Now I know.

I finally got to shake Stevie's hand! That was such a magical moment that I will never forget.

I met the coolest people in line and swapped stories. Some truly dedicated Stevie fans told me how they traveled from Wales to see the cancelled Webster Hall show and now came to L.A. just for 2 days. It was very cool meeting so many people just as crazy about Stevie as I am!

Michele, great review! I don't know what else to say. Stevie and the band and guests were all rockin.

When Stevie came over during the edge walk I was in awe. People were wishing her a happy birthday and I just looked up at her, speechless. She grabbed my hand and it was incredible. I can't describe it. She is such a beautiful person.

It was fun to meet so many Ledgies! It made the long wait go by much faster.

I was wrong about Tom Petty showing up, but one Heartbreaker is better than none!

The setlist was surprising and wonderful, as was the show in general.

I'm still :]

And, Michelle...fabulous review. I love all the details (even if you were a tad harsh on my all-time favorite Say Goodbye;-)

I always say that Sunny Von Bulow emerged from her coma, but when she heard and saw the live performance of Say Goodbye, she slipped back under. However, I like the studio version of the song and I always loved Lindsey's introductions to it, especially during the end of the tour when they got more emotional. I loved it when he said to her, "It's been too many year. Maybe it hasn't been enough."

I was just talking about this quote last night and how I was reminded of it when recently reading Stevie's blurb on the meaning of You May Be the One in an article a week or so ago.

YOU MAY BE THE ONE - This started as a poem I wrote during the FM "Say You Will" Tour. It's about a relationship that could have worked but it missed by a mile...or missed by a second.

Well except that it's as nonsensical as the Cheaper than Free lyrics. Missed by a mile... or missed by an inch. Missed by a milennium or missed by a second. Those would make more sense.

Unless it is indicative of the poet that she is that she conflates, rather than confuses, space and time. As if love were beyond temporal world limits. I'll go with that. :)

"Rhiannon" had more passion than I've seen in a long time. We were all totally blown away by it because pretty much the entire night was like watching a different woman perform.

She did a really nice, "taken by the sky -y -y -y." People around me were singing along to the introduction with her, their voices as strong as hers. I was rather surprised, because this was the loge and I thought the fans there were more casual. I didn't even think they knew all the words to the Rhiannon intro, but they did. I haven't heard a crowd sing along to something of hers like that other than Landslide.

I giggled when she kind of acted out how she and Dave reacted to Cheaper Than Free by looking at each other, mouths agape, pulling at her hair. She said because that's how she and Dave are when they get excited, "like crazy Christmas trees."

I love how the audience is singing along with Annabel Lee! Obviously a lot of hard cores in attendance. Her vopice sounds amazing. I hope she watches these vids and sees how good her show is with the new material.

Unless it is indicative of the poet that she is that she conflates, rather than confuses, space and time. As if love were beyond temporal world limits. I'll go with that. :)

I think mixing time and distance like that is great. I'm just getting into Matt Smith and Karen Gillan so don't talk to me about love being beyond temporal limits. I'm trying not to fall for them. Basically . . . run.

Sound wise though, it would be more lyrical if she said, "missed by a mile . . . or missed by a millisecond."

You know that is an age thing. When Jack Wagner was on Melrose Place, my friend didn't understand what was odd about his character's name, Peter Burns. I tried to explain it to her, but she didn't get it. She's about 7 years younger than me.

so live with it) have been Peter Frampton??

No, people said it was Peter Stroud.

Really quick because I've got to be at the airport soon to leave for The Bahamas. Last night was hands down the best Stevie show of my life! I'm still so utterly in awe I was dreaming about her all night. Best performance in the last 20 years and guys, she looks magnificent! She was glowing, beaming, everything you would have wanted her to be and more. Her hair was wavy and flowing, her make-up flawless. Of course some of my favorite moments were when she was talking.
2 highlights for me were when she was head-banging at the end of Edge and when she said "Am I happy now, OH YES I AM!" during Love Is. That made me cry. On the downside I was a bit tired from a very long week so not my usual energetic self during the show but before is a different story. As Danni mentioned there were 2 film crews and I got interviewed for both the documentary and E! Television. They asked me to rile up the crowd in line to sing Edge and then Michelle Tyler from Bella Donna and I sang a little Dreams for the camera. I explained during my interview what a chiffonhead was and I can't wait to for Stevie to see all of us fans going insane over her. I just know she'll get a kick out of it. More about that to come...
DANNI, I LOVE YOU! Thank you so much, you will be in my wild heart forever xoxo.

After the show, we hung out by the back entrance for 2 hours. Some guy thought I was a cute fan so he gave me a copy of a Rock A Little vinyl that he'd had signed by Mick!

That seems odd. Why would someone want Mick to sign RAL? I don't believe he played on that album at all - did he? Maybe I'm forgetting... Well, good for you anyway.

It's time to start talking tour merchandise. We need some Ledge Designers to come up with some over the top ideas now! I really want an Edgar Allan Poe shirt--something with Edgar on it, maybe with a raven, a wild heart, a full moon or something Annabel Lee-ish on it.

I don't know. It's already June.

I know Stevie rehearses for a long time, but I was amazed at how polished and effortless everything seemed. The first night of a tour is usually shaky, even when she or FM are just doing their standards. For her to break out all of these new songs with no stiltedness or stumbles was astonishing.

Definitely an AMAZING show! So thrilled she put herself out there and played that many new songs. It was awesome. The only time I can think that she messed up on the new stuff was on For What It's Worth - she sang "Still Outrageous Still Outrageous" instead of Still Forbidden - she just repeated the outrageous bit. So very impressive. Especially if they just rehearsed the last couple days.

I thought I read at the beginning of this thread that Dave Stewart said him and Stevie will be touring together once his cd come out. :shrug

Here it is: Dave Stewart's Weapons of Mass Entertainment film crew is capturing the show for inclusion in the documentary.

Mick and Lindsey were sitting up in the balcony, and some people did manage to go up and say hi. I'm guessing the guy brought RAL hoping to get Stevie, but figured he might as well have Mick sign it.

I'm so happy you got to go. I wish I could have been there with you. I will just have to live vicariously through you and everyone else who was fortunate enough to be there.

But I did have a great time with my NYC peeps. :)

I was blown away by Michele’s incredibly thorough recap. My contributions are much fuzzier, a haze of euphoria. But I thought I’d throw in everything I can remember because it really was one of the best nights of my life, and definitely the most epic. Dani and I woke up at 3:15 and when we rolled back in at 3AM, we realized we’d chiffoned out for 24 hours. Literally, everything we said, thought, and did was about Stevie, from singing Moonlight probably 5 times while we waited for the sun, to cutting off our consumption of liquids after 4PM.

There were some great times in line—so many fantastic people, all as crazy as us (at least, almost—we were just 2 hours worth of waiting crazier;)) I was especially grateful to Eliza (S.Nicks), who was the only one to join me, Dani and Amber while it was still dark out. Also loved meeting Alicia (can’t wait to see her pics!) and seeing Becca again and getting to hang with Ed, Liam, Kim, and Lindsay (who chiffon-headed out for the cameras like you would.not.believe). And the community of crazy fans was just an awesome thing to behold as we lined up because we were all sort of in it together—one woman saw me and Amber first in line on our blankets and approvingly yelled, “HARD-CORE!” I also got a major kick out of the number of people who recognized Dani—6’2” in her boots, she was basically our mascot.

They started letting people in at 7 and we were front row center. Being that close probably had a lot to do with it, but it really felt like her aura wafted through the theater—I was ready to cry just from looking up at her mic stand. She came on for Stand Back at 8:20 after an introduction by Chris, and was going all out from that moment on. Everyone was amazed after the first two songs, and I was so glad to hear longtime fans who’ve been to dozens of concerts all say they hadn’t seen her like this in decades, if ever. The energy was just amazing throughout. It was a very long set, and her vocal and physical stamina would have been amazing even if she hadn’t just gotten over an illness. But from beginning to end she was dancing like crazy, relishing every song, and hitting notes she normally doesn’t attempt. The talk bits were great—she was really into interacting with the crowd, and seemed thrilled to get to talk about her new music.

Annabel Lee really surprised me—I’ve actually never been into the song (I know, I know), but it really translated beautifully, as all of the new songs to follow would. Ghosts Are Gone was a definite stand out—partly because expectations were low, but mainly because of her energy. She was loving it—shaking that tambo with everything in her. She also interacted with Dave more on that song than any other except CTF, and it was awesome to see her beaming as they danced around.
Soldier’s Angel was beautiful and very emotional—Lindsey was welling up at points, Stevie needed a moment as she tried to introduce her next song. Although I would normally be thrilled to see a set list without Landslide, I was kind of disappointed that they didn’t do it then—would have been gorgeous, I’m sure (this is my only slight complaint about the set list, though, and all-in-all it wildly exceeded my expectations). FWIW was also just incredible, as was FFG. I was surprised she included it, but this was a truly great version. And of course Edge! Security was understandably crazy and I was definitely taken out of the moment by the guards squeezing between us and the stage and speaking loudly on their devices, but getting to shake her hands and cry “Thank you!” was unforgettable. And Love Is—absolutely gorgeous, and probably heightened for me by Dani’s squeaky sobs.

Having had all of that amazing luck, we of course had to wait around outside and I’m so glad we did. One of the crew guys (I think? I honestly have no idea who it was) gave me one of the used drumsticks! Loved taking a picture with Sharon, who honestly could not have been sweeter—when Dani and Amber told her how they flew in for Webster, she gasped and seemed genuinely pained for them, and clasped Dani's hands. And of course, seeing Stevie pull away—she was way out of it, but grinned and waved.

I was around when Mick was signing records and there were several guys who had a stack of records and were just handing them off for Mick to sign and weren't letting other people in. My friend and I thought they were paparazzi because they had so many records. Whoever they were they were rude. Eventually security tried to turn them away so other people could have a chance with Mick but then Mick left.

My friend asked Waddy about a tour and he said likely in August. I don't want anyone to hold their breath but I think it's a possibility.

I totally agree that each song was totally polished, and suspect that this set list was ready quite some time ago... Question ... had Stevie not gotten sick and had Webster Hall not been CXLD, would the other shows ( borgata, arizona, ca, and vegas ) have also included the new set list, meaning that since Webster was out that they held back for The Wilhern ??

Bring on the next tour !

I dont have much to add, except to say that that was, hands down, the best show I have ever seen! Stevie sang beautifully and had tremendous energy. She also seemed truly, genuinely happy, which is not something I've seen much in other shows.

Soldiers Angel was not a song I liked, but after hearing it live, Ive change my mind about it. She sounded better singing that song live than she did on the album. She and Lindsey gave a spectacular performance.

Thanks to Ed the camera man, I have videos of all the new songs. It wil ltake forever to download, but I will post them here when they're done. I hope someone got video of FFG because she gave a really intense performance of that song, complete with mad screams and popping veins in the neck. Awesome!! After one song she was actually panting! Since when does this happen!?

I pray she tours with Dave and not Rod. It must feel a hell of a lot better to perform in front of your own wildly enthusiastic fans, instead of Rod's geritol popping audience.

I've said it before, though perhasp not here, but Metallica fans are much peaceable than Stevie fans. I thought there would be fisticuffs at the stage when some wacked out old bat stormed her way to the front, shoving aside people who'd been waiting all damned day, and got a spot at the stage!!

Speaking of Metallica, Stevie can headbang as well as any of them. She demonstrated her skills during EO17

Stevie needs to tour behind this record...of all records! I'm convinced moreso after seeing/hearing these vids of the new songs. Stevie was right, they can go straight to stage and easily pull off practically every song on the new album - the songs transfer to stage beautifully. I bet she's waiting for Dave's "The Blackbird Diaries" album to drop and for his busy calendar (he's been producing a Mick Jagger album & Joss Stone project) to be clear so she can hit the road with him. I for one would LOVE for Stevie and Dave to tour together, Stevie will be so happy on the road with him.

Okay-

I'm finally over my " Stevie hangover", and no I didn't drink yesterday. I think it's just emotional exhaustion/excitement that had caught up with me. We got home at 2am this morning and felt like we had been hit by a truck when we woke up today. I'm feeling much better now though.

Last night was a truly incredible experience. I feel so lucky to have been there. When I learned in line before the show that she was doing 8 new songs I was ecstatic! I also stopped checking the Ledge for updates at that time, as I didn't want to know any of them. I was hoping Moonlight (my fav) would be one of them, but doubted it. So every time I heard her introduce a new song it was like opening a birthday present of my own! Especially when she said she was going to do Moonlight after Sorcerer. This was a dreamlike experience for any true fan of Stevie's. Michele and Daniele gave quite a few details, so I won't repeat those. My girlfriend Kim and I got in line about 3pm, which resulted in us getting our favorite spot for any Stevie show- center, about 4 people back. Being there, we were in Stevie's line of vision the entire night, and had quite a bit of eye contact with Stevie, which is always AWESOME. I got some pretty good video, which I am currently downloading. We were just out of Stevie's reach for the Edge walk, but she looked right at me and smiled when I told her I loved her, which was totally enough. I had just shaken her hand 12 days ago in Vegas, so no need for me to be an Edge Whore:p. My girlfriend Kim had an exchange with her too, and I got it all on video. Dave was incredible when he came out. He really is SO good for Stevie as he seems to bring out her confidence in doing her new stuff. Thanks Dave! Of course Soldier's Angel with Lindsey was amazing.

I will post the videos when I get them up. It was nice meeting everyone! Danielle- thanks again for putting my card for Stevie on the stage before the show. I saw you put it up there perfectly, with the side that said "Stevie" facing up, right in front of her mic! I wonder if Stevie ever saw it when she looked down? It stayed up there the whole show, and afterward I made sure that someone took it back. A girl came around and collected it.

I saw you put it up there perfectly, with the side that said "Stevie" facing up, right in front of her mic! I wonder if Stevie ever saw it when she looked down? It stayed up there the whole show, and afterward I made sure that someone took it back. A girl came around and collected it.

Jamie

It was great meeting you if only for a brief second! I'm sorry I couldn't chat more. I get so anxious right before shows, just ask any of our crew that were there. I'm so glad you had such a memorable experience, and I did as well. I cant' stop thinking about every moment. I think I spent most of the show being in shock that I was actually there and questioning whether or not it was a dream lol. Surprisingly, I LOVED For What It's Worth. I have the best memories of all of us in the front and Stevie doing her pantomime like she was driving a car, so cute!

AHHHH! All the stories in this thread are fantastic! Stevie looks and sounds radiant on the videos so far, I can't wait to see more..

This is so exciting, I've decided that if Stevie tours the UK (or does any shows at all besides festivals) I'm going to follow her around as much as possible, busking for ticket money.

Mick and Lindsey were sitting up in the balcony, and some people did manage to go up and say hi. I'm guessing the guy brought RAL hoping to get Stevie, but figured he might as well have Mick sign it.

I'm sure someone recorded the whole thing, but I have about half of it. I'm on a plane right now and the connection is pretty slow, but if I have decent wifi at the hotel tonight I'll put up the IYD snippet, Rhiannon, and CTF.

Definitely couldn't have said it better myself. Love this, love you and love this night!

Excellent performance Stevie!! I loved watching Dani and Amber dance. Watching yourselves in this classic moment must feel awesome. How many of you other Ledgies can see yourself in this video?

At the beginning I can see my flip camera I'm holding up, lol. I didn't record the whole song. I was trying to find a happy medium for myself of getting some good clips and enjoying the show fully. I did get moonlight, love is, and the edge walk in it's entirety though.
