Also, I am not a big fan of the song Fall From Grace, but last night it blew my head off. Amazing.
Absolutely agree with this. I can not believe it. I feel like I have stupidly missed something in this song all these years and Stevie just patiently waits for you to get it and thus keep doing it - regardless, last night was my a-ha moment that Fall From Grace is genius and HAS to stay in the set now.
Jaime - can't wait to hear Love Is :)
And would love to see Edge, FFG, Gold Dust Woman too :)
thanks for the info. did u hear august for a tour start? thanks again.
Nothing is set in stone at this point but that is being discussed. It will likely be sheds and maybe smaller theaters. Sheds are not ideal for her in the summer but she believes in this record and wants to play these songs live. I have seen her perform for 30 years and I have never seen her with the voice and passion she had last night. Incredible.

I'm only about 30 seconds through CtF, but I wanted to say thank you! The quality looks fantastic!
And my huge thanks to all the Ledgies who posted set lists and tweets and photos and reviews and videos. I literally strolled out of work around 5pm Friday, Brisbane time, counting on my fingers to work out the time in LA and being a wee bit too excited that the show was probably finished and that you guys would be awesome and already have things to share with the rest of us. Ditto this morning, when I rolled out of bed knowing the videos would now be coming up. You guys rock  For those of us who can't attend these things, you are all the next best thing to being there. :xoxo:

Probably August/September for start of "The Tour".
Timing seems about right.
Fingers crossed.
I'm not going to rant because this isn't confirmed but if so... yet again the tickets should be on sale by now. People need to save money etc for travel, accommodation. How are they meant to do that if they only have a month/2 months notice?? Here's hoping dates are announced very soon if it is Aug/Sept, it's already pretty much June.

Not touring in the summer somewhere is a huge mistake with a new album out! I mean she tours with no new material and here we are witha new cd and nothing? People pay to go to concerts in the summer that they may not go to other times. It is a concert season and she is missing it! Urgh!
Keep in mind they were waiting to see how the CD did before they started planning anything. She also has been doing non-stop press for weeks. It takes time to put a tour together no matter what size AND most importantly--you have to get paid because you have to pay your crew. If it were solely up to Stevie, she would go play tomorrow. It's a big machine with lots of decision making power spread around. The promoters decide what they can pay or what markets can support the tour. Everyone involved wants to make money, not break even. I am speaking of mgmt and promoters.
She wants to go, they are discussing details this weekend. I think you will see an announcement before London. I think the Wiltern show was a sneak preview done to get buzz again and to help push the idea of a small tour. But this won't happen much before August.

Thanks again for the inside scoop! Everything you said makes sense. However, I have to agree with everyone else about the touring. She has been touring since 2005 with barely anything to promote and now that she has a CD out they are weary of a tour? Its strange. Maybe they were waiting to see if she could take in crowds like the TISL tour (sheds), not her usual casino run?

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - At a packed Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday where the audience included Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Reese Witherspoon and Andy Garcia, Stevie Nicks took advantage of a rare night in which musicians who worked on her first album in a decade, "In Your Dreams," were on hand to make cameo appearances.
Nicks, who was celebrating her 63rd birthday, told the audience at the top of the show that she would be telling songwriting tales, even if it meant the show would last three hours and they would beg her to hush up and sing.
It didn't last that long -- she put in a nice two hours, 10 minutes -- but she did have a good number of stories, some whimsical, some historical and none more poignant than the one behind "Soldier's Angel."
One day in 2005, Nicks spent seven hours visiting wounded soldiers at a hospital and, on her way out, an emergency crew rushed in another set of the wounded. "I went in a girl and came out a changed woman," she told the audience.
The experience inspired her to write a poem that she had printed and handed out to soldiers for four years. In November of 2009, she was in London when seven British soldiers were killed in Iraq and media response in London was overwhelming; she wrote a four-page rant in her journal and eventually spent close to a year trying to turn the poem into a song. It never came to fruition.
"I have to call Lindsey," she said, which led them to completing "Soldier's Angel." Buckingham joined Nicks for an acoustic rendering of the tune, with the occasional roll of drums, that became the emotional high point of the show.
"Soldier's Angel" was one of eight songs from the new album performed, each of them explained in detail. "Annabel Lee," written when Nicks was 17, was inspired by an Edgar Alan Poe poem; "Moonlight (A Vampire's Dream)" shares a through line with "Lady From the Mountain"; "For What It's Worth" was written about her summer riding the bus across the U.S. with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. (Heartbreaker guitarist Mike Campbell joined the band for the tune). Nicks called it "the best summer of my life-and you can interpret that any way you like."
"Secret Love," one of several songs to feature Stewart as guest guitarist, was written in 1975, recorded on a cassette and eventually bootlegged many times over. The country-tinged duet "Cheaper Than Free" sprang from a comment Witherspoon made to Nicks and Stewart - she was offering her Nashville condo to Stewart for a couple of weeks, making it "cheaper than free."
Her six-piece band led by Waddy Wachtel and two background singers backed Nicks, who got her bearings straight after a rocky opening half-hour. At the opening of the show, she explained the importance of the Wiltern in her career: In early 1975, it was the venue where she and Buckingham first rehearsed with the other members of Fleetwood Mac - Christine McVie, John McVie and Fleetwood - having joined the band on New Year's Eve 1974.

I think waiting a bit to go out makes sense... gives people the opportunity to first of all discover that she's got a new album out, because at the end of the day getting the word out to the masses takes some time when you aren't a top 40 staple... Plus, it gives people a chance to live with the new music and love it...
If she can pull together a show similar to The Wiltern I think people will be extremely happy with the show die hard fan or not... It was an amazing night of music with a lot of new music but still playing many fan faves from the past. They looked so well rehearsed and comfortable playing the new stuff - and it just sounded so great! This music was made to play live... The videos are all really great from the show, but there's nothing like seeing this stuff live. GO STEVIE!!!!

Can someone explain to me what this is supposed to mean?
I understand through lines to mean something that's repeated, maybe with slight variations, throughout the song. Something that's not a chorus, I believe, but more of a theme. So, with this one, I'd think it was either the "strange" theme or the candles that were mentioned at the beginning and throughout the song.
I just watched the Moonlight video. Wow! Absolutely no pun intended but it's really nice to see she has something new to sink her teeth into.

Just got home from LA. Whew what a whirlwind. My life is pretty much forever changed by that show. It was worth every single thing that happened on the long process of getting there (a few of you know all the drama I dealt with). We got in line shortly before 6am and started out being 6,7,& 8th in line. I was so happy to meet so many amazing fans in line through out the day. Just in case we didn't meet, I was really pale girl sitting on a beach towel with Kristen and Nancy. During the show I was the one with the Happy Birthday headband/ crown on. Stevie saw it and gave me a little smile and nod. I also got to hold her hand during the Edge walk. I was just expecting a simple touch, but she squeezed my hand and held it for about 5 seconds for some reason (totally not complaining about that  ). Also, it looks like most of the details have already been shared, so I'll just reiterate that it was amazing. I was not expecting my fav song, FWIW to be performed. What a pleasant surprise. I tried not to pass out as she sang it about 8 feet away from me.
I'm so not happy to be home. I'm ready to go spend another 13 hours outside the Wiltern, it feels like home now. Ha!. I really hope someone got audio (and a complete video) of the whole show. I tried, but my stupid camera paused recording (didn't even know it could do that) after 2 minutes and I didn't realize it. Also, thanks to Kristen and Nancy for putting up with me all this time, hope I wasn't too chatty. :) I wouldn't have been able to make the trip and the adventures we had happen without them.
Well, the Rod tour complicates this for one thing. There are major markets that she may not be able to go back to since she was just there. She does not like doing sheds in the summer (that is just tough for many reasons) so I think she had to decide if she was willing to do that and if it made sense financially. If she tours it is only for the love of the music and wanting to bring it to fans. I think everyone knows its tough to sell tickets in this economy. That is just a reality. That cannot be underestimated in the decision making process.

Agreed!! It was by far my fav live song of last night. It's just so gritty and beautiful. I wish Stevie would keep this one in her repertoire... perhaps for future Mac shows?
It makes more sense for it to be included in a Fleetwood Mac set. I don't see this song remaining in her solo tour set list - unless Lindsey shows up for each show!

This is bizarre behaviour. With me, it's impossible to not sing in the same key as whatever I'm listening to, even if I end up switching octaves halfway through, away down in my boots or away up silly and falsetto. I wouldn't be able to stand the dissonance of singing in a different key.

I've never understood this mentality. Why people think everyone wants to hear them sing at a concert is beyond me. We get it, you know the words. It's okay to sing to yourself but when you feel the need to sing so loudly that it stops others from enjoying the show is annoying. In many of the videos posted you hear the same guy screaming out to Stevie at the top of his lungs, most of the time at the quietest, most reflective moments. He's probably the same guy that ruined Beauty and the Beast for me in Vegas in 2005.

I cant stand drunks.I think they should ban booze and beer at concerts.I know this is a free country.also I know the venues love making money selling $8 dollar a mug beers and shots.I gave up drinking ages ago.I have fun at concerts without getting sloushed. It seems like some people cant behave and act like a$$holes and ruin it for the rest of us.
For editing videos. try using AVC video converter.for a cheap price it works great.
also .free dvdvideosoft package mentioned earlier works good too.

Wow.....that FWIW video is incredible! What a beautiful song that translates incredible live. Her voice sounds so strong!
I was surprised how well Soldier's Angel translated live. I am not a huge fan of the album version, it falls flat for me. But live it really came to life. Her and LB are great musical partners. There is no denying that. I wish they would stop rehashing all of the emotional baggage and commit to making some more great music. I am even surprised I am saying this because trust me I can ship like there is no tomorrow. I eat up their stage relationship with a spoon. But, in the end the music is what will live on and in the time they have spent talking about each other they could have made Buckingham Nicks II, III, and IV.
I knew she still had these types of performances in her. It's like when you keep dating someone for years because they were nice and wonderful and you hold onto those memories hoping they treat you that way again. I am so glad I never gave up on Stevie! There is something incredibly special about her.

along the same lines as loud singing and yelling inappropriately, the fat a** in front of me in Chicago kept returning throughout the show with hotdogs, WAFFLE CONES, etc. food. The queen of rock n roll is before you, and you are eating so much sh** I can't believe that. On my nerves big time.

I have you all beat. The couple in front of me in Vegas (in the 2nd row) made out the entire time (seated and standing). All that was between Stevie and me were two maker-outers. Truth be told, they were lovely people once I spoke to them and they tried to calm it down  Oh well.
I'll never understand why everyone isn't just paying attention. You paid a lot of money for those seats and you're singing over the performer, eating hot dogs and making out? Geez.

She could still play Providence.

No, but Stevie really faked the audience out when she was introducing FWIW. She said that those of us who have followed her career for years realize that she is an honorary heartbreaker. The audience immediately started screaming for TP. She said that after 30 years, Tom himself gave her a "Heartbreaker" badge. She said she went and got on a bus with Tom and the Heartbreakers, becoming part of their band. She went on tour with them and had the time of her life, "let your imagination take that any way it likes," she kidded. Then she said, "Now I want to introduce you to a real heartbreaker, Mike Campbell!" He was definitely not who the audience was expecting.
I didn't know who Peter was either. She probably doesn't know his last name because she was just like, "oh and there's Peter," when he walked on stage with Dave.
Michele
The thing is, Tom Petty had no involvement with her new album, so why would he be there? It makes perfect sense that Mike Campbell, who has been the larger contributer/current figure in her work/career, would be the logical Heartbreaker to appear. The speculation about Tom was generated by hapless fans/social media. Stevie wasn't faking anyone.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I'm scratching my head over how flawlessly she performed these new songs. Reason being, I recall many thread conversations revolving around how Stevie must get performance anxiety over doing new songs or at least songs not in the usual set list. Probably mostly during the Say You Will tour as some of the new songs were dropped along the way because they really weren't sounding that good. I dunno... I guess I had it in my head that something like this Wiltern show was a fan fantasy and to see how freaking amazingly she performed all these new songs makes me feel like a new fan all over again!!
I want to see this show live AND I want to buy the DVD!

I don't know. It's already June.
I know Stevie rehearses for a long time, but I was amazed at how polished and effortless everything seemed. The first night of a tour is usually shaky, even when she or FM are just doing their standards. For her to break out all of these new songs with no stiltedness or stumbles was astonishing.
Michele
I think that these songs are catered to her voice and current self, which makes them easier to learn and preform with ease. Yes, she's spent 30 years singing songs like "Dreams" but they also weren't created to be sung by a 63-year-old Stevie. I think she was able to learn them so quickly a) with the help of Dave Stewart and b) because they are meant for her modern day voice and style.

Stevie began the introduction by talking about Tom and the badge he had given her. I think that would have led anyone to the conclusion that Tom would be emerging. The only people who would think otherwise is people who know that Mike Campbell was involved in this album and, while Ledgies have known that months before the thing was released, the general public still has no idea.
People who use social media are the only ones who might not think the Tom was the mystery guest. The truly hapless fan would certainly jump to that conclusion and justly so. As for Stevie faking people out -- assuming that phrase implies intent -- no she was not doing that, of course. But it doesn't hurt to say she was for my narrative purposes. I don't think anyone took that seriously.

I think that these songs are catered to her voice and current self, which makes them easier to learn and preform with ease. Plus, this was an intimate little show at a small theater in front of fanatics--that's a much more comfortable atmosphere to sing new songs than in front of a standard tour audience (where all the fanatics are in front but the rest of the 10,000 people are only there to drink & party).

I respect what you are saying FM but Stevie has been playing the summer sheds for years and even in recent years like Alicelover said, "when there was nothing to promote".
She toured solo in 2005, 2006, 2007,2008,2010..now she finally has a new cd out and the powers that be are wondering if it will make financial sense..Sorry, I don't get the logic at all.
She could come back to NY the fans would go..she could go back to CA the fans would go. I personally didn't see her with Rod cause I expected that she would tour this summer, just as she has almost every year in the 2000's. As far selling tickets, yes if she lowered her $125.00 ticket price in NY more fans would go... but thats another bag of apples.
Thanks again for the inside info.

Wow, I went away all Memorial Day weekend, no internet for miles, which I love not having, its great to get away, BUT its also great to come back to all these incredible live videos. Her energy level and vocals this show were incedible.
All the new songs were great. the only one that dissapointed me a little was Ghosts are Gone. She needs to work on that if its ever going to be an equal to Fall From Grace. Anabel was the song I liked most compared to its studio counterpart. I LOVE what they've done with it live. They shortened the repetiive ending and added that awseome instrumental part to the end.
And I'm shocked no one mentioned this. The intro by her brother Chris. It had to have been a tribute to the intro to her White Winged Dove HBO special when her dad welcomed his daughter Stevie Nicks. And that also makes me belive this is being released somehow.

Seriously, I was in the loge and I had been zooming my camera before the show started to see how close I could get to the stage without blurring the image. So, when Lindsey walked by to get to his seat, I simply could not focus the camera. It was like he was too close for my camera to even register. I wanted to yell at him to "Freeze. Stop right now," until I could get my stupid device together.
The sad thing was, it's not like just quickly strolled past. He actually did pause a moment to wave at people who were calling out his name. If I had been prepared, I could have gotten a couple of great pictures.

Okay, I'm a little late adding my $0.02. But I figured I would post something once I had my wits about me... but to be honest, I'm still buzzing.
Wow, what a short but epic trip! Although I can't say that the trip didn't have its share of twists and curveballs here and there, I had a blast. Other than the concert, I had no gameplan whatsoever and pretty much decided to what to do, where to be, each morning.
I really can't add too much to what has already been said about the show itself. It really was historic, and I felt like I was a part of something that is not likely to ever happen again. I couldn't help but think that a chapter had been closed and another opened. The Stevie that walked out on that stage was a changed woman- happy, thin, radiant and unafraid to take chances. As we all know, the setlist was something that seemed to be from a dream or a cruel April Fools hoax. It seemed that Stevie was having the last laugh, thumbing her nose at the naysayers who thought she was creatively bankrupt, as she delivered the most epic, satisfying set of her entire 30-year solo career. And any concerns I had about the fragile state of her health and voice dissipated the second she started singing circles around "Annabel Lee" as if it had been in the setlist for years; I could have sworn it would segue into "Dreams" just like "Outside the Rain." It sounded classic. In fact, I am still haunted by all of the sublime moments in the show- the sing-along vibe of FWIW, rocking out the tambo during GAG, the way she suddenly belted out the last note in "Moonlight," etc. Like everyone else who made the effort, I was heartbroken by the Webster Hall cancellation. However, I feel like everything happened for a reason; I have a hard time believing that the show at Webster Hall would have been anywhere close to the Wiltern show. This is a show that could have only taken place in Los Angeles. Being my first concert in LA ever, I really did feel like it was a homecoming of sorts for everyone on and off stage, especially knowing that Lindsey and Mick were sitting somewhere up above me in the mezzanine. And it also made me feel good knowing that Dave Stewart was in the same room as Lindsey and Mick; perhaps there were some fruitful conversations about the next Fleetwood Mac album. In a nutshell, it goes without question that this was the greatest Stevie show I have ever seen (my first show was on the RAL tour). Although I had low expectations going into this whole trip, there was still this little voice in my head constantly saying "this is the one we've been waiting for." As it turns out, the little voice was spot-on!
Biggest thanks and hugs to Dani! :xoxo: This trip would have been nowhere close to being so much fun without you! You have this magical gift, er, two magical gifts  that seemed to open doors for you everywhere you went; I was just along for the magical, "strange" ride. :p To all the Dani naysayers: get stuffed. Nope, but i did see her! haha...I was at stage left, and 3/4 of the way through the show this short, redheaded chic with flowers pushes her way through saying she has to get her flowers to Stevie, like she was more important than any of us. I was like oh hell no..it was great though cause when Stevie came around to shake hands she shook mine and a few others, and ignored flower girl...and that is what we call KARMA. My mind is about to explode with all of the funny references you just threw in this post. ;)
Ed, I LOVE YOU. I had such a blast with you.... looking for breakfast places for hours on end, watching you nearly back off a cliff as Liam cried laughing, THAT BED (I'm so buying one). I can't wait until our next Stevie adventure... it's gonna be soon, that much I know for sure ;)
I'd also like to tell everyone that I met on this trip that it was an absolute pleasure getting to know them! I'd known Ed, Amber (equeen1022), and Grace (mezzoforte) before the show, but it was awesome to finally meet Liam (LiamMcConville), Steve (chiliD), Becca (GypsyBecca), Anna (WildHeartCa), Jeanie (JeanieKartis), Nancy (sodascout), Eliza (SNicks), SaraThePoet, and and and.... seriously, I met at least 50 Ledgies that day so if I forgot you, don't be offended! My head was spinning.

I live on the east coast and was not blessed enough to have been able to see this show, but you have summed up my feelings completely in this review. From the 1st video I saw of this epic night I felt there had been a shift and that it was something so special. Stevie has slipped into herself in a way I have never witnessed before and she seems so happy and so confident. I truly hope she tours over here so we can witness the magick in person. Until then, I am forever grateful to all of you wild hearts for your reviews, photos and professional quality videos....I don't feel like I "missed" this show at all.....
PS....Moonlight was epic, old school Stevie !! I have watched the video of that over and over and when she crouches and starts swaying & singing at the end before the wail....OMG!!
Truth be told I would of went to this show knowing it was going to be the same set list.
I had even prepared myself as Lindsey & I did for the Indio show, hoping for new song's but knowing it might not happen. So I carried that same mindset to the Wiltern show..........Needless to say it was a pleasent surprise from the very start (after Stand Back) this wasnt going to be the same set list! I had this huge smile on my face the entire show :D. It was epic, historic and once in a liftime experience!!!

Someone mentioned that her brother Chris gave the introduction for the show. Is there a clip of it? Did he say "...my sister, Stevie Nicks!," just like her father said "...my daughter, Stevie Nicks!"?
I have nothing nice to say about her brother, but that's such a sweet touch to the show. It's as if saying this is a rebirth of her solo career, since her father was there at the beginning of her solo career.
From the clips I've seen, it seems like Stevie has been reborn. The set list was a dream come true, and her energy and performance was way above par. She could have performed the entire album, with just a few old songs, and I don't think anyone would have whined about it. It goes to show: if you have good songs, and perform them well, there are no songs that you have to do to have a satisfying show.

Shush, you!
There was this one obnoxious b**** dressed up like Timespace era Stevie, including the floor-length coat and the strapless bustier dress that highlighted her bolt-on, wall-eyed implants. She was barely in line at all and shoved her way through the crowd in the pit. I hope she is reading this. What a disgusting animal.
I remember the creature you describe soooo correctly! She jumped in front of us in line, then we saw her creep up slowly and try to become everyone's best friend. She was beyond ridiculous. But she was entertaining.....until she jumped in front of us again when the camera man came to ask us some questions. At which point she went on and on about how she is a singer/artist/actress.
I lost track of her after the mad rush in.....lucky for me.

Seriously! It's hard enough to accept that we'll probably never see another performance like that, but the prospect of a Stevie-less summer has me deflated. If she doesn't tour in August, I probably will have to go to Australia in November. Just in case my friends don't think I'm crazy enough.

That's because she was too busy elbowing me:mad:
I was coming through the same time she was (keep in mind, I was second in line going in!), and watching her shove people was actually unbelievable. A few people tried to get the security guards to do something, but she ended up front row:shrug:

Everyone has pretty much summed up the show. I do not have too much to add.
But I will say that in over 30 years of seeing Stevie, this show was in the top 2 I have ever seen. As far as the setlist goes, it was the best. And maybe the performance as well.
I mostly rate the SIR TISL show at the same level for sentimental reasons. Being with a dear friend, the craziness surrounding it, hanging with Stevie and everyone after the show, seeing It's Only Love live, etc. IDK. Maybe it was better. Hard to say.
Ultimately, I just agree with everyone about the quality of this show. She was committed from the first moment until the last note of Love Is. I do not believe I have ever seen her so focused and so wild. It is a tough call to make. In the old days, she was nuts and coked up and crazy. But every one of those show was erratic. For every historic performance of one song, she was a mess on the next. And that goes back to every tour except maybe 1975. We will never see wacked out Stevie again, but the fact is that on this night she was not only the modulated and controlled singer we have come to know the last 15 years, she was ultra present and spontaneous.
It did bother me that she did not use her breathy falsetto voice on the verses of Moonlight. She probably has her own reasons for doing this. Maybe she cannot project that voice loud enough over the music without feedback. Dunno. But the belt at the end kind of made up for it.
Overall it was a historic show. And made all the better that I was with a pack of 5 other great pals and we got to hang out, have a great time, and sing our guts out and have a nice little party at the show. We were just past the first level, so far enough away to not be squashed but close and high enough to have a great view.
I thought many times during the show how lucky I am to have met so many great friends through the music. My life is so much richer for being a fan of Stevie. At many moments I held my friends and they held me, as the music nailed us so hard that we literally broke down and lost it. We have that history together and understand exactly why a certain song may shake our friend to the core. We have all loved and lost and we get it. On that count, I guess I am one of the crazy people at a Stevie show howling and singing and drinking and having the time of my life. All I can say to all those people who hate that noise and singing along is that seeing Stevie is a not a trip to a museum to worship and be silent. It is a party. It is a thrill to me that everyone knows the words and sings along. All of us bellowed and sang through the new songs. It is a love fest. If we aren't singing, and mostly on key in my crowd, we are crying. We are obviously not yelling "We Love you Stevie!" at serious moments in Love Is, but the rest of the time we are singing loudly along or weeping in a friggin rapture.
And a rapture is the best way to describe the evening.
It was perfect.

I just got back home last night and am sick with a cold, so did not get a chance to read through all the threads and pages yet.
What an amazing show! Here is a link to my YouTube channel for the videos I took.
Maybe some were already posted in this thread, but if not here you go.

The way they hug (as during Sara on the Unleashed tour) reminds me of the poster for Spellbound. It's not one of my favorite movies, but I love the poster for it.

I'm hoping she will take that same setlist & her rocking performance to OZ in Nov, I'm sure her people are now organizing dates/ venues etc & will be on the road again soon touring in the USA.. It will be interesting to see if that setlist changes, no doubt without LB [my much loved song] Soldiers Angel will be first to go, I'd loooove to here WSS to takes its place:thumbsup:

She was in such top form for this show. I wonder if this performance was professionally filmed. It would be a great DVD or CD. I really love how she modified the vocalization of "You better put your kingdom up for sale." She took it higher, and it was really powerful! The crowd went crazy! Amazing!
Has anyone ever posted audio files for you? lol

You are welcome. The only videos we did not get are band intros, Edge, and Love is. But it looks like someone got Edge (I think 2 versions surfaced so far) and Love Is. I wonder if anyone got the band intros, they were cute. I hope if she tours, she puts in Wide Sargasso Sea.
I do have to say I was really knocked out with Moonlight and Ghosts Are Gone. There is something very special about hearing songs from a new album finally being played live in concert and we knew them already. :D

I literally couldn't hear Stevie the first 6 or so songs because the pit was singing SO loud. There was so much excitement in everyone. I didn't mind too much because the energy was great.
They must have turned the sound up though or something because by Ghosts are Gone I could hear just fine.

It was an amazing experience! I arrived at 5:45 am and started out 6th in line with Kendel and Kristin K. Despite line complications and my reticence to push and shove after the doors opened as some were doing, I was still able to get to the stage and soak up the show at full intensity. I don't think I can add much to all the reviews that have been posted already, so I'll just say that I'm SO glad I went and I desperately hope she'll at least do a limited tour this fall.
About the possibility of a DVD - the set up for filming was really cheaply done - a few microphones and cameras, and no re-takes when she flubbed lyrics a couple times. It was nothing like the Soundstage taping. I have a feeling they'll just feature clips from the show on a documentary rather than release it as a full concert. I hope I'm wrong, though!
At least, through the diligence of fans, we have all the songs videotaped. Thank you so much camerafolks, and also photographers like Alicia who have given me the means to relive the experience ad nauseum despite the fact I never so much as pulled out my cell phone. ;)
Shoutout to my new friends from the line! It was also great to see old friends again, however briefly.
A wonderful experience!

I was not fond of the cup-cakes. Someone handed me one and I had one little bite and passed it to Ed. Poor thing didn't like it either and we had no place to put it so he left the half-eaten cup-cake on the edge of the stage and I was like Ed, we gotta move that so Stevie doesn't step on it during the edge walk lol. I don't know what ended up happening to it but I believe it lived on that place on the edge of the stage until the end of the show. The end. Ed, we'll always have the Duncan-Heinz cupcake!

She was picked by MJ to be the lead guitarist on the This Is It tour. She's also an emerging singer-songwriter in her own right, and had a pretty big hit in some places with her song According to You. She's also an Austrayan, as you might've picked up on in the vid. So all that, plus being a Stevie fan, makes her pretty alright in my book

I have to wonder if Stevie knew about this:
British spies swap cupcake recipes into al-Qaida magazine (http://beta.news.yahoo.com/blogs/envoy/british-spies-swap-cupcake-recipes-al-qaeda-magazine-150454811.html)
Readers of al-Qaida's "Inspire" magazine got a tasty surprise thanks to British intelligence operatives: recipes, courtesy of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," for mini cupcakes.
British spies reportedly hacked into the website of the English-language quarterly published by al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula last year, swapping in the cupcake recipes to replace the bombmaking how-to guides set to appear in an article entitled "Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom."
"When followers tried to download the 67-page colour magazine, instead of instructions about how to 'Make a bomb in the Kitchen of your Mom' by 'The AQ Chef' they were greeted with garbled computer code," the Daily Telegraph's Duncan Gardham writes.
"The code, which had been inserted into the original magazine by the British intelligence hackers, was actually a web page of recipes for 'The Best Cupcakes in America' published by the Ellen DeGeneres chat show," Gardham wrote.
"The little cupcake is big again," the cupcake feature said. "Self-contained and satisfying, it summons memories of childhood even as it's updated for today's sweet-toothed hipsters."

I forgot to mention before the show, I saw a dude behind me (in the pit) that looked a LOT like he could be Lindsey's brother. I think his name is Gregg? I know he had a brother that died, but he has another one, right? By the time I got up the sack to ask him if he was Lindsey's brother he disappeared. I was unable to find a recent pic of Lindsey 's brother online. If anyone has one they could post here I'd be able to confirm it was him. Unless of course someone else knows for sure.

I must be getting old, because that's all I think about. Around the Wiltern there were people selling hot dogs. Bacon wrapped hot dogs too. The thought can make my mouth water. Heck, I don't care about calories and cholesterol. But if I wasn't scared of what was in the hot dogs and if I wasn't leery about the person who prepared and handled them, then certainly the Wilshire air that was wafting over those hot dogs as we waited on the dirty streets was more than enough to keep me away from them.
Then there's that bacteria-ridden Edge Walk. If I were Sharon and Lori when Stevie came and touched me after she'd been rubbing the mucus masses, I'd stick one of those dirty gloves down her throat.
My mother scoffs at me being picky and reminds me that when I was a toddler, she caught me picking chewed gum off of the sidewalk and putting it in my mouth. Well, I think that says more about her parenting skills than it proves that my current germophobia is hypocritical.

I agree. Although I have not been lucky enough to see as many shows as you, I have seen quite a few and this was, by far, the best that I have seen. So good that I was actually a little sad afterward, thinking that it's very possible that I will never see a show of that caliber from her again.
Our view was perfect, we weren't crowded or pushed and we had plenty of room to dance. I'm so happy that I got to see this show with you and meet some great new people! And thanks for taking the photos of Mick and I.

yeah i remember that too..I made friends with 2 of the guys that were manning the pit and making sure nobody got down there without a wristband and when we were leaving one of them was out guarding the side entrance making sure nobody went back there and he told us that even though they smelled good he wouldnt touch them with a ten foot pole and he works there so I guess you were smart to stay clear from them

Yes because they'd much rather hear 2,000 out-of-tune screaming fans instead of Stevie's voice .

No, really. I think they do it for crowd noise. They can always turn it down when editing.

 bingo. yep gets old coming to threads seeking info of interest on topic, or pretty close to topic, only to find back and forth banter between individuals that could easily create a PM and yap together all day to their heart's content. dont get me started on the creation of threads oh, err 'just to talk' I personally find strange that they dont utilize the PM feature -- I know I do! :D
