Nope--I want to call the venue tomorrow before I get a hotel or flight just in case they tell me Stevie goes on at 9:30. I really haven't looked into it yet, but I'm going for the single closest hotel.
Would you mind if I crashed with you on the night before the concert so we can get up at 4AM together? Also, my best friend lives right next to LAX so we could go there together after the show if you don't have to leave until later. Do you have to leave that night? UGH SO MANY QUESTIONS

Definitely! No prob--the company will make it easier to make up at a soul-crushing hour.

You know, I would actually probably do that. Completely serious. I don't want anything less than front and center if I'm going to LA for it.
I won't fight you guys for that spot. My favorite spot for a Stevie show is about 3rd or4th row, dead center. As long as I can have that spot, you guys can have front row center. Fair? :woohoo:

You're exactly right in positioning Jamie--Stevie rarely looks at the first row during the show--she's focused further back. ;) The sound is also more distorted close up because of where the speakers are located.

I received a unique code email, but I'm not going to use it, so if someone wants it just send me a PM. It goes to the first person who does.
There are people selling codes on eBay, which is against eBay policy. There is someone on eBay selling two tickets and they haven't even gone on sale!
this person is selling a unique code for $50:
http://cgi.ebay.com/STEVIE-NICKS-PRESALE-PASSWORD-CODE-LOS-ANGELES-WILTERN-/250818288442?pt=US_Tickets_all_in_one&hash=item3a65ef5b3a
this person is selling 5 unique codes for $74.88 each!

and this one is selling a pair of tickets for $599.99 when they aren't even on sale yet:

The selling of codes is scaring the sh*t out of me for ticket sales tomorrow.
The good news is that no one is buying them on eBay. I just check completed listings and no sales have been made.
It's against eBay policy to sell any item that is delivered digitally and it's against eBay to sell an item that only offers a chance at getting an item. I have reported these sellers and so have a few others with eBay accounts.

The Wiltern is in a semi sketchy hood. Not dangerous, but sketchy. And buyer beware, the traffic up Western going North is apocalyptic even on a good day. It can take 30 minutes to get from the 10 up to Wilshire. I suggest sneaking in from Hollywood above and parking far away and hiking. There is tons of free street parking 5-10 blocks away. I have some unconfirmed info about the GA but won't know anything for a few days.
Still scamming my promoter and other connections.
Just hope everyone who wants a GA ticket gets one.

I still feel terrible for people so hyped up to go to Webster, and here we are having this opportunity in So Cal. I've recently moved to Oregon, so it's harder for me to get to shows than it used to be. After much debating, I have decided SCREW it, I'm going. NYC fell thru, I didn't have money to go in Aug in NJ when she was playing on my bday, so I just have to try for this. I haven't seen Ledgies in SO long. Provided I get a ticket tomorrow, I sure can't wait to see you all there. The closest I've ever been to meeting SN is at the Wiltern. Maybe it's full circle time.

I miss him terribly! Especially now, with all the Stevie excitement. LOVED re-living your Mirage story w/ you Sparky! FWIW (pun intended), I have also been victim to a cancelled show that I flew out of town to attend (Behind the Mask tour, Stevie got sick).
All I can say, as I did a few minutes ago, is that I hope your ass is on a plane and you are with us for the night. You need to come to this show. It will be epic. Between you and me and the rest of the gang we can tell Stevie stories on the porch by the fire till we see the pink sunrise over the LA skyline. You know it will be pink for us and we should share it. There are boxes of stuff to dig through. Pics to look at. Songs to be written and rumours to be started.
Say you will, SOTM. A bed is waiting.

Just have ID. Or be with the one who has ID for the ticket you are getting.

Did you not even read my Oakland post? It isn't really faith in you. It is faith in the strange otherworldy crap that happens with long time crazy Stevie fans and somehow or another eventually getting what you want. Aren't you a writer or a lit major or something? I seem to recall reading something to that effect. Surely you could read between my lines, Lily.

I feel this. Thats exactly why I chose to travel to NY for Webster Hall, I figured that was the best opportunity of hearing the most new material. My partner & I have tickets for Vegas, but my excitement has officially dimmed, knowing at any moment Stevie still may cancel or postpone, and if she doesn't, she been sick & indisposed, so I'm not expecting that many new songs have been rehearsed & a possible lackluster performance & H& S setlist :(. I hope Stevie proves me wrong, but after the Webster disappointment (to put it mildly) I'm treading softly and have low expectations.

The will call thing bugs, but that's all that was offered. We have time to find out the details, but I'm wondering if the same line for GA will be the same line for will call? Or will we need to stand in two lines?
Also, I think every ledgie going to this show should have something showing on their person that indicates they're a ledgie. Perhaps we should draw an "L" on our left hand or something?

This is so true. My Stevie karma can be so good it's spooky. Even though I missed Webster I've been backstage in Vegas thanks to Sharon, was given a ticket to the Live in Boston show via Lindsey's management, have snuck up to the Edge walk even if not in 1st three rows, etc. Danielle you will have it too. :D

For all long term ledgies that may have heard it before (Jake, Niki, Suze, Livia, Jannie, David, et. al, you know who you are), I apologize for repeating it.

I can't believe it. I got a ticket. It's going to be a crazy day and I half regret it (money, craziness) but it will be fun too :) Now there are a lot of logistics to work out.
1. Does anyone know which airport is the best one to fly into? LAX, I assume.
2. I read that the LA metro goes to Korean town, which is where the venue is. Does anyone know if the metro goes to the airport? I'd rather not rent a car.
3. I will be flying in from SF that afternoon. Does anyone want to go to the concert together?
4. Would anyone be willing to put me up for the night? I'm a member of couchsurfing.org. and I'd be happy to return the favor and put you up in my place in SF whenever you want :) I can give you my couchsurfing profile so you can check my references. :)
5. Does anyone know how this will call thing will work? If I get to the venue early, and get in line, but then I have to get my tickets from will call, will I lose my place in line? I guess I need to call the venue.
If anyone is organizing anything, please let me know :)

If you fly into Burbank, you would be closer. LAX is quite a ways with traffic
Take a bus to the North Hollywood bus station and take the Metro to Western/Wilshire.
Of course this is only if you have no luggage.
No idea how will call will work. There's a Denny's, Starbucks and McD close to the Wiltern;)

05-11-2011, 04:28 PM
Thanks for the airport info. But flights in and out of LAX are around $170 and in and out of Burbank is $390! So I guess I'll have to go with LAX if I go.
Kevin
PS Is there any way for me to sell my concert ticket to someone else who wants it in case I can't go?

I am so, so, SO psyched for this show! Got my ticket this morning. Guests or no guests, I don't care as long as I am up close! (But I do think some of her "famous friends" will show up.) I don't even mind if it's the same set list, as long as she does a lot of talking between songs -- I love that. I'm hoping as it's billed as an "intimate" show, that might be the case.

GA's still available, as is this code: D5HKACJURK
For people who weren't able to get tickets today, I just saw on Facebook a local radio station, The Sound 100.3 is having a presale tomorrow (May 12) at 10 am PST, Promo code: SOUND.
"Stevie Nicks is playing the Wiltern Thursday, May 26. Friends of the Sound get first crack at tickets. Pre-sale starts at 10a Thursday May 12. Enter promo code 'SOUND'"
If you want to check them out of FB, search "100.3 The Sound".

It makes little sense that there are more tix to be sold. I understand that not everyone has internet access, but it would be relatively safe to say that the bulk of the audience are her devout fans whom WILL find a way to have access/get a ticket. I guess just seeing this prior post, I'm surprised that her fans didn't pretty much sell this out already and that a radio station, and general "on sale date" is still coming.
I'm not sure how fan club presales work, but I was kind of under the impression that not all the tickets for Stevie's show would be for sale during the presale...that maybe only a certain amount would be available. There are actually still tickets available from today's presale. This morning when they went on sale, my friend purchased them online as I am unable to get Ticketmaster at work. This afternoon, when I got home and looked for tickets, I noticed you could pick your own seats. When my friend bought them at 10 this morning, she didn't have that option. Plus, they've still got a general public sale that's supposed to start on Friday. Do they save a certain amount of tickets for each sale? For general admission, it doesn't really matter. My friend said she could not get any loge tickets today when they first went on sale and I don't know if any loge became available during the presale so maybe they're holding them for tomorrow or Friday's sale. Was anyone able to get loge tickets through today's sale?
On another Stevie note, got my Rolling Stone magazine today, Bob Dylan on the cover and on page 32, Stevie is on the HOT LIST.

This is what is stopping me from picking up tickets... We'll see after the other couple of shows if she still is feeling better..if she pushes herself I'd hate to see her end up in the hospital or something with a collapsed lung..pneumonia is not like the bronchitis and stuff that she's had in the past...I was told a story of a 30 year who ended up back in the hospital with a collapsed lung after pushing herself too soon!!! Also I heard from someone else pneumonia takes like 6 weeks to feel better again...With Ellen I thought she looked a little pale still and it was only one song she had to get through...but a whole show might be hard! I hope and pray Stevie is hanging chill for awhile so she can get her summer off to a good start...I'd hate to see more complications come about because she is pushing herself too quickly to get better!:distress:

HI everyone. I bought a ticket but I don't think I can go. I'm going to try to see if there is any way Ticketmaster will give me a refund, though I'm sure that they won't. My next step is to call the theater and see if they will let someone else pick up the ticket for me. IF they will, would anyone like my ticket for $100? That's $20 off the price. If you want to do that, let me know. All you would have to do is tell me your name so that I can tell the people at the Wiltren. After the show, you can send me a check. If you hose me, it'll be bad Stevie karma and I would have been out the money anyway. If you are interested, please let me know.

^Thats how I understood it. Seems the presale and the radio presale are will call only. All tickets sold under the general on sale date are printable or shipable etc. One friend said he was able to opt for the "send me my tickets" and another printed his out. Is really weird, and sounds LAME but I REALLY hope I have a ticket stub after show. I'm kinda A/R about that.
I was just at Ticketmaster and pretended to buy a GA ticket, and there are several options for tickets. You can print your tickets, there are several UPS options, a $3 option for "retail outlet pickup" and will call. My friend got our tickets for the first pre sale. Maybe they were only will call for that particular sale, because right now, there are several options for delivery.

I'm stuck with two extra GA Floor tickets. If anyone would like them, contact me - they're yours for face value. I know you could buy them elsewhere, but you're helping a fellow fan by taking this route. :)
