When people see the Secret Love video on that channel, then see all these other songs that they've heard before, but don't know who signs it, they will all achieve the "Aha" moment, and go out and buy In Your Dreams :) hahah

Ahhh so that's what Stevie's doing with all her silly pantomimes of late. :laugh:

Like TrueFaith77 said, I was wondering how you feel about these songs appealing to the hearing impaired?:lol: Go take your shirt off Christo.:)

So I asked Dave last night about the whole situation...got this back today...

DaveyPants999
@DaveStewart Well it's officially been a week since u tweeted this, yet no announcement occurred this week. Did Warners drop the ball again?

DaveStewart

@DaveyPants999 "yeah"

Who knows? All I know, is I feel Dave should stop shooting off his mouth about things when he has no definitive knowledge or control of these matters. It's starting to look like Warners is Dave's fall guy for most things that don't come to fruition.:rolleyes:

Sure, Dave provided great titillating updates for us fans, while Stevie & he were recording and filming. But for those of us feeling a tad frustrated, I feel this dilemma has been exacerbated by one D. Stewart of late and NOT Warners.:cool:

This.

Too many people, I feel, are feeling that we are entitled to information/previews/leaks because Dave has hinted at things to come...things are completely out of his hands now. He was in control of the creative process, and now we're into the business side of things.

I don't think any of this is out of the ordinary. There have been no "delays," no dropped balls. We are in a new age of information here, where we know more about the project than we did ten years ago with TISL. Who knows what goes on behind the scenes? Had Dave not been so generous in giving the fans such great hints and insights into this whole process, we'd be sitting around right now, happily awaiting May 3, rather than grumbling because we aren't getting enough right at this very moment.

It's called "social media" not "just-the-facts media." Not everything is going to be accurate or proofed. I'm sure he only tweets what he assumes is true info at the time, but things and plans change, and so do his updated tweets.

We will get the videos, and promotions, and CD when we get it, and not a second sooner.

I wouldn't blame WB. We're still six weeks away from Stevie's new album release date. I'm sure they have a timeline worked out.

Poor Dave Stewart is probably wishing he'd never heard of Stevie Nicks by now...

Ahhh so that's what Stevie's doing with all her silly pantomimes of late. :laugh:

Like the lasso movement for SYW and the paintbrush she does for Peacekeeper.

This reminds me: last night, I was watching Comedy Central promote the Donald Trump roast and in this sketch the telephone operator kept saying "hello? hello?" but couldn't hear the caller. Consequently, she surmised that the silent caller must have been Marlee Maitlin. For some reason that "joke" annoyed me. Marlee can't hear, but she can talk. In fact, she talks quite a lot:rolleyes:.

Hahaha he is probably laughing all the way to the bank. Or will be soon!

The videos uploaded onto her youtube channel were these:

-Stand Back
-Dreams
-Gold Dust Woman
-Crash into me
-Landslide
-Edge of Seventeen

The "Classic" or "Trademark" Stevie songs.

Definitely a marketing move. When people see the Secret Love video on that channel, then see all these other songs that they've heard before, but don't know who signs it, they will all achieve the "Aha" moment, and go out and buy In Your Dreams :) hahah

I think Dave cringes about Stevie's fans obsessively stalking him, not Stevie herself...

Are you guys crazy???? This stevie exposure is giving him more cred in the press since over 10 years ago when the last eurythmics album came out. The fact Stevie mentions him so much in interviews, you know the man is loving every second of this ride. This is also probably why he is working his butt off to make sure this album is a success....for all involved :)

If I was Dave, I'd love dealing with a load of rabid fans. It would;

A) Make me feel very important. (and I love that :laugh:)
B) Make me feel that the time I've spent on this product is going to be worth it.
C) I'd love teasing them - which I think Dave is doing now :laugh:

Ok, it's Tuesday AGAIN! 6 weeks away from In Your Dreams release date. And still no SL video.:cool: Dave & Stevie turned in the video weeks ago, probably along with the *sizzle reel*. Is this the calm before the storm?

Do you think Warners is sitting on it deliberately? Perhaps to unveil it a few weeks closer to IYD release date? Or do you suppose Warners did not like final product Dave & Stevie delivered, and wanted some re-edits and additional production. What going on?:confused:

I'll bet you're right. We all have to remember that it's been 10 yrs. since we've had a solo cd from Stevie. That's a lifetime in today's music ! We are all chomping at the bit to see ANYTHING new from her. It kinds makes you wish we didn't even know about a doc.,movie, video, or whatever. To NOT know would have made for a nice little surprise actually. I am sure once we've all seen it we'll forget how long it took to get ! :nod:
